The octopus was divine - would come back for this specifically. We split entrées and ordered the short ribs, orrecchiette, and Chilean sea bass. Pretty big portions and the flavor to match! A huge kudos to the hostess up front, who navigated a pretty grumpy crowd with such grace. Understandably, it was a very busy day, and the restaurant was packed. The food was decent - we had crab cakes and a lobster roll - and the prices felt fair for Piermont, although, as you'd expect with the waterfront location, they're a little higher than what you'd pay in neighboring towns. Our server, while wonderful, did not explain how much the uni was and it was a doozy on our bill ($15 per single sushi piece; not for both as written on the menu so be attentive when you order!) This is a genuinely small business so there are only a few tables and some bar seating. Go when it's not rush hour to avoid crowds. They can get impacted. But the wait is always worth it. Stick to the raw bar. They have good quality fresh fish. Their makis (rolls) are also good if you want something more dynamic and bold but I like just plain raw fish on a bed of sushi rice. The sushi chef here is a veteran sushi chef with decades of experience so it's worth trying if you love sushi.
