This is a favorite restaurant of mine and it did not disappoint. The staff and owners are always so friendly. The level of professionalism was great. We feel that they genuinely appreciate us. The view of the Hudson only adds to an already great experience. The food was amazing. My favorite is the Seafood Tower for Two. It is fun to eat and delicious. The shrimp and scallop kebab is also a definite win every time. All the food is great. The drinks are wonderful also. We will definitely be going back soon! Old-school Piermont, beautiful Hudson River view, and a little taste of Cape Cod. We stopped in on a beautiful summer evening, partly because I was on a mission for one of those frozen piña coladas or margaritas - and it absolutely hit the spot. Sitting right on the marina, with the water and boats in view, gave me just enough of a "beach" feeling to pretend I was back on the Cape. It brought back some wonderful beach memories. The food was decent - we had crab cakes and a lobster roll - and the prices felt fair for Piermont, although, as you'd expect with the waterfront location, they're a little higher than what you'd pay in neighboring towns. This is definitely old-school dining: no fancy food trends or reinvented dishes, just the standard seafood-and-American fare you'd expect. And honestly, sometimes that's exactly what you want. Service was attentive, although a little slow when their system went down and they had to go back to old-school math to figure out the bills. The view is the real star. One thing I wish people would stop doing, though, is feeding the ducks bread. It may seem harmless, but bread fills birds up without giving them the nutrition they need and can actually make them unhealthy. Enjoy watching them, just let them find their own dinner. Another big plus: easy parking! Unlike much of Piermont, there's a huge lot, so you don't have to circle the village looking for a spot. And Marel, the owner, is a doll. The place has been family-owned for decades, which makes supporting it feel even better. So no, this isn't a destination for fancy dining. It's old-school, casual, waterfront Piermont, and on a warm summer night with a frozen drink in your hand and the Hudson in front of you, that has its own kind of charm. read more

Not sure how it gets 3 stars No Way! Where to begin with... Food was so good and so tasty everything was delicious! We sat out on the back patio which has beautiful views of the Hudson River. The outdoor seating is covered so you have shade. The service was quick and friendly! Our orders were taken promptly and our food brought out right away. I started with the fried calamari with marinara. It was fresh and delicious. Then I had the lobster and snow crab roll, which is served Maine style with mayo and celery. It was absolutely fantastic! It was packed with lobster and crab. I would definitely get it again. It came with a side of fries. We also ordered a Crab cake sandwich which was packed full of crab. The sandwiches weren't cheap but they didn't skimp on the fillings at all. We ended up at this spot sort of last minute but it worked out well with plenty of seating. Food was great in this no frills spot - prices were also great and there were plenty of options. Seafood is the obvious draw here. The seafood is fresh and you can find anything your seafood heart desires. Crab cakes were great, not a lot of filler. Ok wine and beer list, nothing fancy. Service was exceptionally friendly and parking was easy. If you want good seafood and don't mind eating it in a very casual atmosphere (outside is plastic outdoor furniture), then you'll be in for a treat! I mean how long can you stare at the Tappan Zee-Cuomo-Mamdani-Hochul Memorial Bridge before your hunger pangs overwhelm. Well, this ain't Jersey and we were seated in a very reasonable 45 minutes. The service was splendid and my broiled Grouper was top notch. Sure they're busy but the vibe was relaxed with no rush whatsoever. Interesting fun fact, by the time we left the restaurant, the NYS legislature had added Hunter Biden's name to the bridge formerly known for decades as the Tappan Zee. What came was 3 cups of chopped beets with very little arugula on top and 3 small walnuts on plate with drizzle of balsamic. I love beets but who eat 3 full cups! Baby greens are not arugula. I called the server over who proceeded to argue with me & even went and got the menu to point out that arugula was on salad. We went to Cornetta's for my parent's 60th wedding anniversary. A lovely place on the water. Parking is easy with two lots. We ordered the clams and calamari apps'. The calamari was cooked to within an inch of its life, the clams were better. Everyone got a variety of food, from steaks to lobster tails to chicken parm. Everything was fine, my lobster tail was a little under cooked. Service was slow. Solid place for a special event or just a nice dinner. read more

Stopped in last Sunday with my bestie after the Nyack street fair, we wanted a water front restaurant and just picked this place. We sat outside and it was a lovely afternoon. We ordered a bottle of wine, she had shrimp scampi, I ordered sword fish. We both enjoyed our meals. We shared crème brûlée which was also very good. Service wasn't great but not bad either. The main ingredient in every dish must be SALT. Because that's all you will ever taste if you eat here. Last time I'll be coming... let me explain. I was here twice in 2020 and the entire experience was GREAT! However, the past two times I've been here recently left me with a bad taste in my mouth (literally and figuratively). I rarely ask to take a dish back to the kitchen but in these cases I had to. I found out that they changed the chefs, which explains a lot. Here's what I ordered from the past 2 recent visits: Grilled Octopus $22 - BURNT to the heavens. We had to ask to take it back. Shrimp Scampi with Linguine $32 - After the first forkful I knew I couldn't eat this. It was EXTREMELY SALTY with absolutely no flavor. I asked our server to take it back and ordered something else... I went with a fish dish and that was also salty. Ahi Tuna $19 - Not impressed. Tuna tasted overly fishy and it came with a sauce that was.... can you guess??? SALTY. Shrimp and Scallop Kebab $34 - This dish came with a skewer with 3 pcs shrimp + 3 pcs scallop, vegetables, and risotto. Portion was small. The scallops were tender and cooked well, but the overall dish lacked any flavor or seasoning. Nada. Branzino $35 - Guess what???? Yep, another salty dish. Quality and portions are NOT WORTH the prices. Listen, I'm willing to pay for a good meal.... but SHEESH, would it kill you to SEASON your food properly??? The best thing I had here was the espresso martini lol. The only reason why this restaurant is popular is because they have an outdoor dining option where you can sit near the marina with a (not so impressive) view of the Hudson River. The wait times can be long - 45 minutes to an hour. The host told us it would be 20-30 minutes.... but that wasn't the case. They only take down your name (no phone number) so you have to physically be there and wait in a crowded area until they call you for your table. They DON'T take reservations. The parking situation is also terrible - they do not have enough spots and it is very tight and crowded. Service was a bit below average. They weren't very friendly or attentive; they just didn't seem to care. We had to flag down servers most of the time. I do not recommend coming here if you like flavorful, well-seasoned food that doesn't have pounds of salt ingrained in every bite. If you're interested in the view, just go to the bar for drinks. read more

This was the first time going on a Holiday (Mothers day) never again! waiter rushed us in to ordering from the second we sat down we ordered a seafood Tower appetizer we told waiter who insisted we give dinner order with appetizer order not to bring the dinner until we finished our appetizers I literally had to grab the clams off the seafood tower as he abruptly took the tower away without even asking if we were finished & shoved our full meal in front of us mind you they had seatings at 1:00 3:00 & 5:00 we arrived at 1:00 & were served appetizer & dinner all by 1:15 this is insane, then he blamed it on kitchen & asked if we wanted to speak with Mgr. The manager was as useless as our waiter she told us they have 600 reservations for the day & their staff was told to rush things, first of all it is not my problem your restaurant has 600 reservations, that is not my problem. She defended the servers actions & said nothing could be done, this is no way to run a business, Totally ruined Mother's Day for my 90 year old mom. read more

Food was ok though my partner got an intense hives rash a bit after eating some seafood... Not sure if it's related but that's a weird coincidence... I got the fish sandwich and the fried sole was very very thin and not really tasty. Also the waiters and waitresses came to ask us how we were doing every 2 or 3 minutes which became pretty annoying rapidly. Gorgeous Saturday evening in August, so we arrived at 6:20pm to be on the early side to celebrate a birthday - we were told "20-30 minute wait" - it was 45 minutes for a party of 4. We were led outside and sat near the cart with the dirty dishes.... the gnats were out in full force & we asked to move to a table further away- still outside - they moved us. They brought us bug spray and two citronella candles.... still the gnats were insufferable so we asked to move inside the Pavillion- they moved us again. At 7:45pm the waiter, Will, took our order - there were only 4 waiters on a Saturday night. Will was efficient and our food came out very quickly. I had the shrimp and scallop kabob with risotto- risotto was too al dente, almost crunchy! Two in our party had sandwiches: spicy chicken and Crab cake - both were happy. Drinks are good and they brought out candle on the cheesecake we ordered for dessert (we also had the Tartufo. I have been going to Cornetta's for years. I always enjoyed their steamed lobsters. I went there again today for lunch to celebrate my birthday and learned that they closed their dining room and that they were only serving for outdoor dining. Even though I had been there before, I had checked their website and their information on Google (mostly to make sure they were still open for lunch and that they did not change their hours.) Nowhere did it say that the dining room was closed or that there would only be outdoor seating. In fact, the Google listing says, "Casual seafood spot attached to a marina on the Hudson River, with indoor & outdoor dining." When we parked and walked to the door, we heard the waitress screaming to us from the outdoor seating area near the marina that the indoor dining area in the restaurant was closed. At almost the same time, we saw a note on the doors that indicated that the dining room was closed Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We yelled back to the waitress that it was too hot and humid (over 90 degrees) to eat outdoors. I was trying to explain that we traveled some distance and that my companion, an older gentleman, needed to be in the air conditioning. Then we heard someone yell, "Then go somewhere else then!" I was so disgusted by this remark that I walked over to the outdoor seating area to confront the waitress and get her name -- only to learn that it wasn't the waitress who told us to go elsewhere . . . it was the OWNER, Maral Kalishian. I could not believe what was happening. When I confronted her, she tried to say that she was merely politely suggesting that we go somewhere else because my companion needed air conditioning and their indoor dining area was closed, blah, blah, blah, but I know what she said and I know how she how she said it. I told her that I was going to go somewhere else and that I would be writing this review. She told me that she looked forward to seeing it. It was bad enough that I traveled 45 minutes to get there only to learn that they were not offering indoor seating, but to be spoken to in this way -- to be disrespected like this -- was completely unacceptable. Ms. Kalishian: If you are reading this, you should be ashamed of yourself!!! I will NEVER set foot in Cornetta's Restaurant and Marina again. read more

OMG! What a great find was this place!! Nestled in the village of Piermont? Is this really magnificent restaurant. This place has a really awesome vibe and amazing service. The restaurant is right on Piermont Avenue and has a view to the marina outside. They have a fairly large dining room. They have an amazing menu of dishes, I tried the seafood combo and that was fabulous. I also had the buratta--delicious! We did the oysters on half shell, and that was absolutely amazing. Oh and don't forget the cocktails here. The bartender makes an amazing array of different cocktails. I had a spicy margarita and it was delicious. we ended the night with a dessert and coffee. The owners here really know how to treat customers as well. If you have not been to this place, you really need to get out and try it. I will be coming back here again, and again. read more

Lunch. The four of us are dining indoors - it is December so the patio is winterized until springtime. The interior of the restaurant is well laid out, the dining room is well staffed and the kitchen is efficient. There's a full bar, separate from the dining room. We started with Mussels in a white Wine sauce, Coconut Shrimps and a Caprese Salad. All delicious. The Shrimp was perfectly cooked, crisp and flavorful. The mussels were tender. All good. The Honey and I had the Mediterranean Seafood Stew and the Arugula salad with Shrimps. These shrimps are gigantic, crisp and delicious. The stew was generously portioned and yummy! This is the most beautiful little restaurant on the river. I don't understand why people are giving it such low reviews. It's amazing. Karen was our waitress. She did an amazing job. The clam chowder was awsome. The portion size was generous. The blacked sword fish was seasoned to perfection. I had salmon it was also a generous portion. My husband was trying to plan a special evening at a waterfront restaurant in Westchester, but everything was booked. After checking multiple spots in both Westchester and Rockland, he came across Cornetta's Restaurant in Piermont--beautiful location, tons of 5-star reviews... we figured we'd give it a shot. We started with appetizers--stuffed mushrooms for him and clam chowder for me. They were just okay. Nothing impressive, but not bad. Then came the main course, and that's where things really fell apart. I ordered the short ribs with mashed potatoes and veggies, and my husband got the salmon with the same sides. The short ribs were not at all what I expected--dry, tough, and honestly, just unappetizing. The mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box. I took one bite and told my husband I couldn't eat it. His salmon was overcooked and dry. We both stopped eating. We let our server know, and while he was kind enough to offer us something else (we declined), the only compensation offered was one dessert to go (worth $8) for a dinner that cost over $30 per plate. Meanwhile, the owner noticed what was happening but didn't say a word--no apology, no acknowledgment. I truly don't understand how this place has so many glowing reviews. The food quality was poor, and the customer service--beyond our server--was nonexistent. Beautiful view, but unfortunately, that was the only thing memorable about the night. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Went on Saturday night got seated right away at a nice table. Server was new which we didn't know until I spoke to the owner. I explained we ordered a Caesar salad to start and all our food came out immediately at the same time, including our entrées. Had to wait for refills of water and what ever else we needed. Everything about this place was great except the service. We ordered our drinks and two appetizers and fully intended on ordering dinner. We did realize that the apps were enough so we wouldn't get dinner but we would order one more app and another round of drinks. This never happened because we sat and waited for over half an hour. When Albert finally arrived we just wanted the check. He was quick giving us the check but we didn't see him for another 10 minutes and handed our payment to someone passing by. The ambience is lovely (we sat outside) the margarita hit the spot (wish I could have ordered another one) and the apps were pretty good. Albert however needs to be more present. We often go to Cornetta's for birthday dinners, so we returned Friday even though it was a stormy day. We asked for a table by the windows and were seated promtply. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Every dish was beautifully plated and displayed, the drinks were attractive too. The bread to start was very good, as were the meals. The portions are a good size. The only BIG complaint is that the lobster in the 2 orders of the special: lobster, shrimp, scallops over black ink linguini was very tough and very very chewy. This was a huge disappointment, as the lobster was the big draw in that dish, and certainly the most expensive part of it. The rest of the dish was excellent. Dessert was delicious as always. We will be back, though we'll probably think twice about ordering dishes with lobster in them. read more
