This location is a must! Legit! DUBAI ICE CREAM SUNDAE!! The Kataifi pastry just hits that crunchy spot! This is the only place I go for my guilty pleasure for this unique ice cream sundae. Try it for yourself! I've tried other places and their spin on the Dubai craze, I have yet to find a location in Richmond that comes close to the quality this place put out, also the price was just right (I'm all about quality and product, not down to keep paying for over priced hype, for me this price and product was comparable to one another). Family friendly location, these women were able to answer all our questions from cakes to flavors, I appreciate their patience and acknowledgement of me and my family, it's a delight for employees to interact with my kiddos and help them learn to order (of course with the respect of the high foot traffic, which I understand they they cannot always have a lengthy convo), my little one enjoyed asking for samples and placing her order (Thank you for that). The ice cream didn't even fill the cup. I remember the days when it was so full with ice cream and toppings you had to save some. It's been years since I've been to baskin-robbins, but my friend wanted to go so I agreed. I feel like I've "upgraded" my ice cream taste buds because it wasn't that good. Maybe I chose the wrong flavor. With 30 other flavors to choose from, they might have something there that agrees with my taste buds. It wasn't bad ice cream- it just wasn't great ice cream. Very deserving of an average "3" star review. What was nice is, the receipt gives you a coupon for $1 off your next visit, which can come in handy. I've heard that the manager of this location isn't very friendly, but I didn't encounter her during my visit. My overall experience was fine. I was waiting on line & was to the side looking around at the ice cream but I was not too far from the register where a female employee was serving the customer ahead of me. I waited patiently & a new customer entered the place. He stood far from the register waiting too. The employee at the one open register called out to him to serve him when he told her I wasn't there before him. Then she helped me. The person who messed up my order by adding sprinkles and cherries to my ice cream, even though it was not requested, called me Monday and had the audacity to tell me to NEVER ORDER FROM THEIR STORE AGAIN. They tried to argue with me stating that their description says that sprinkles and cherries come on all of their ice cream, I have a screenshot showing where it ONLY said 2-4oz scoops of premium ice cream, I even told her to go to GrubHub and she will see this. Instead of taking accountability for their mistake, she continued to tell me I needed to read the description, they went and changed the description after our conversation, making it seem like I can't read. Screenshots don't lie, if it were there in the description as she claimed, I would have simply put it in the notes to remove the cherries and sprinkles as I have done in the past. I hung up in her face because she was being disrespectful and unprofessional, she called me back and just held the phone. At this point I felt like I was being harassed, because she had no right to call me in the first place, let alone calling me unprofessionally. I filed a complaint with the corporate offers who was supposed to have the franchise manager call me, yet no one ever reached out to me. This just goes to show how much their customer actually means to them. The empathy and tone shown in their response back to my previous review is completely different from the person that called me . Myself nor any of my businesses, or colleagues will no longer patron with their company. BR had this follow up review removed from Grubhub and still never contacted me. read more

A small establishment with tight parking, but the care and customer focus of the staff makes up for those inconveniences. Took my granddaughters for a late afternoon ice cream break and asked a friend to show up in his T-Rex costume to surprise my 8 year old granddaughter, who is obsessed with dinosaurs. They have a tremendous variety of cakes already made, and will of course custom-make to order. Baskin Robbins is guarantee to provide flavorful scoops of ice cream in flavors reminiscent of nights I spent with my grandma eating ice cream on her bed while watching Saturday Night Live. There are many of the traditional flavors (e.g., vanilla, chocolate, butter pecan) but there are also more daring flavors (Lunar Cheesecake, Icing on the Cake) to whet one's palette. The associates are always friendly and ready to serve. I particularly like this location since it's near Pony Pasture and an array of beautiful homes along River Road, though the parking lot is kinda narrow and can get tight on hot summer evenings when everyone has the same idea to cool off with ice cream. When I was growing up, my dad and I would stop in here to get ice cream when we were out picking up Budweiser. I have great memories of Baskin-Robbins and wanted to re-live some of the nostalgic moments. I brought my buddy Larry along to play the role of my dad. We had been drinking Budweiser since 6 AM and went out to pick up some more Budweiser. We stopped in Baskin-Robbins, just as my dad and I used to. As we entered the store, I had Larry shout at me and tell me that my shoe was not tied, then I had him smack me in the back of the head. I wanted this to be just like when my dad and I went to Baskin-Robbins all those years ago. I started crying, just like I used to. When my tears dried, I had Larry order me a double-scoop of Budweiser flavored ice cream. The pimply-faced teenager working the scoop said they did not have Budweiser flavored ice cream. Larry gave him a tongue lashing. "How the hell do you have 31 flavors and not one of 'em is Budweiser flavor?!?!". I intervened. "Its OK pops. I can just pour some Budweiser over the top of vanilla and it will be close enough." "You do have some brains in that there noggin, boy", Larry replied. We both got vanilla double-scoops in big cups so there would be room for the delicious Budweiser flavor. We headed out to my Wagoneer. I let Larry drive while he was playing the role of my dad. We had a few large format (24 oz-ers) Buds in the ol' Wagoneer that we poured over the ice cream. After a few bites of vanilla-Budweiser ice cream, I spooned out the ice cream into the parking lot and drank the rest. The vanilla-Budweiser was a nice change, however, I like my Budweiser un-tainted. We headed over to the Food Lion and to pick up some more Budweiser, then it was off to the Paper Moon to stare at some boobs. Just like the old days. 5-stars! read more

Stopped by this location with my family lastnight. My son (10) ordered a scoop of ice cream with cone on top. Upon receiving his ice cream the cone immediately fell to the floor. We disposed the cone in the exiting trashcan. I then asked the gentleman could my son have another plain sugar cone. Gentleman brushed me off and proceeds to help next customer. As I waited he returned saying we replace the ice cream but not the cone and to ask the managing lady on duty. My husband gently asked her and she asked us where was the cone, where did we discard it, and began a discussing the issue with gentleman. I'm thinking this was an honest mistake and my sons cone wasn't properly secured. I paid .20 and went through much interrogation over getting another cone. I'm greatly impressed with he quality offerings at this location but I must say the service level could be much better. Moving forward I will chose another location. I had to explain to my son while leaving mistakes happen and it was okay. Bad service in an establishment catered to kids! Must do better read more
