My husband and I went to Bass Pro shop in Round Rock on two separate occasions with the intention of purchasing a Pontoon boat. Visit one- Memorial Day weekend 2020 we were acknowledged for 30 minutes after we had already looked at a boat we were interested in. Salesman finally acknowledged us and said he would be right back. Another 30 minutes passed- we had watched him avoid our area several times. We left. Second visit- June 12, 2020 at 1:30pm. No acknowledgement at all. Called on the phone several times to get assistance and either a no answer or an endless hold. We left again. The service at this location is absolutely horrible. read more

We drove from the Buda Cabela's' to the Round Rock Bass Pro to purchase an $800 gun since it was out of stock. Stood at gun counter for 15 minutes and NEVER got acknowledged. Salesman was talking to employee and waiting on computer to update and never said a word to us. We left. read more

This place reminds me of Cabelas, but less selection. There is a small aquarium, some taxidermies style animal carcasses, and some kids attractions like bowling. We were in round rock for a lunch with family and stopped In here to take a look and maybe bowl. The look was short, not much to see. The bowling alley looked AMAZING! They had some cool lights to make it seem underwater-like, they have black lights for the glow effect and wait for it.... A full bar. Basically like a bowling alley on crack. Unfortunately there was an hour and half wait. PASS. We don't live in the area so I won't be going back. First Matt and Thomas up at the front should not have a job there it's like they attacked me cause I have cataracs and couldn't read the paperwork I told them when I got my product. Got a 1200$ fish finder for my birthday from my mom . Bought the extended warranty that you buy in 30 days of your purchas. so now I'm 1440$ into this thing. It broke within 6 months they tell me there's nothing they can do I've been there 4 time. I got the gear guard warranty well that does nothing horrible customer service. So I did a live chat and asked again what they could do and when I asked where I could write a review the lady hung up on me so now I have a 1500$ paperweight. Worst thing is I probably spent 500 hours learning how to use it and watching channels and videos. SMH ‍ sad they are so horrible now. I'll never spend a dime again. I paid in cash for the warranty so I guess the person took my money and never put the information in. May possibly start a lawsuit cause with my cataracts I couldn't see if the receipt was stapled to the warranty sheet and it wasn'y. Called bas pro shop to get info for having my daughters birthday party in the bowling alley. Whom ever i spoke with was completely rude and treated me like i was stulid. I will not give this place any of my future business and would not recommend anyone here. We only go here if we need to pick up something and can't find it at Academy. The store is cramped and much smaller than the SA location, parking is ridiculous and the customer service at the restaurant is laughable. Not to mention, you cannot maneuver a basket or a stroller through any of their clothing sections, home decor or shoes. It's not worth the hassle when you have kids and there are other outdoor stores nearby that cater to families. read more

Love this store!! They have everything outdoors you could possibly think of. They also have fun activities for the kids on the weekends. I saw them filling up a hug pool and the stocked it with fish so the kids could go fishing right in the store. Even if you don't like the outdoors it is a fun place to visit. read more

We had so much fun bowling last Friday. The prices are reasonable and the service was excellent. However, the tables in the lane were dirty and no one cleaned them. My only complaint and why I'm not giving 5 stars. We will be back next time we visit Austin. read more

Poor service. Worst bowling experience we have had in a long time. You push the button for "service" and no one answers or comes. So you have to go up to the counter and place an order for drinks. The bowling balls get stuck and again, you have to go up to the counter to let someone know because no one answers the service button. Then, on the 10th frame when you need to reset to allow the next bowler up, there is no reset button or option on the digital screen for reset. My nephew loves bass pro shop. I don't mean he's just fascinated by the place...he LOVES it. So my husband and I took him to give my sister a break for a bit. He was so excited to show us the store, I mean the entire store. We spent about 45 minutes by the fish tank before tracking the animals on the floor. He then showed us the display racks and where santa was. None the less we were obvious outsiders in the store with our Seahawks hats and our triple crown surf sweatshirts. Two nice ladies, stopped to talk to us about the football game and where we were from. We talked about my husband serving in the military and they were very grateful and thanked hom for his service. Everyone was so helpful and nice. We ended up letting my nephew pick out anything he wanted in the store (I love spoiling my nieces and nephews), after looking at the toys and books, he decided in a candy bar and drink lol. Oh well. We purchased the items and left but I will never forget just how polite and sweet all of the workers were. He loved spending the afternoon showing us around. read more

So after calling Gander Mountain to get my compound bow draw length adjusted they said they would charge me $50.00!!! Thought that waz crazy charging me that while most places do those lil adjustments for free! I was told by a friend to go to Bass Pro Shops. So I called them and talked to Steve a Bow Tech. I told him about my call to Gander Mountain and he told me to bring my bow and bow settings chart and he wont charge me $50.00 and he will adjust it at no charge. He got it done in less than 10 minutes!!! It was a pleasure meeting Steve! He was very helpful, full of helpful information and a super nice guy! If im in need of any archery supplies or needing work done to my bow I will come to Bass Pro Shops Round Rock for now on! read more

As my husband gets lost in this store like a kid in a toy store, I was actually okay roaming around looking at all the cool stuff in the store. Then I got the stupid idea to buy a snack. The cashier (Guzman, O) rolled her eyes as if she didn't want to be bothered, pressed "no" on the enter your email option on the card swiper for me (didn't ask or anything) then slapped the receipt into my hand and said "here". This is AFTER spending 12 minutes in line at a different register only to be moved for a price check or something. I'm sure I'll be back because my husband loves this place. The older gentleman working behind the gun counter during the 4th of July weekend was extremely obnoxious and condescending. We like the store and this rating is based on the Blue Green Vacations that they offer. DON'T believe what they tell you, this is a bait and switch. We knew there would be a presentation; however, they promised amenities but when you get there you find out that you had to either upgrade greatly prior and stay in the resort or purchase a time share. Be ready to purchase a share at the moment of the presentation, because there is no second chances and no time for discussion with the family. Do not buy a Tracker Boat from these people. The maintenance department has had my boat more than I have the last year. Every time I take it in they screw something else up. Lied about all kinds of stuff. Made promises they won't keep. Just got it back again and again they killed the battery and left the main wires to the motor unplugged. Probably unplugged that one on purpose. Second time I received it with a dead battery. First time when I charged the battery the radio was on full blast and a beer can was left in the cup holder. They told me it was mine. I don't drink any alcoholic beverage. No beer has been on my boat. I will not do business with Bass Pro again. read more

I took my 11 month old daughter here last week to meet Santa and he was absolutely amazing! Santa (real name is Guy) was so patient with her while she wailed and never got bothered by her screaming. I ended up taking some photos of her by his feet and then he walked around the other side of her and got on the floor with her so she wouldn't be so scared. I appreciate him getting on her level and taking the extra time with us, He was the true St. Nick! read more

So I'm not really your ideal customer for any store that caters to those who think enjoying nature includes killing it and hanging it on a wall. But I recently joined my dad in a trip to Bass Pro Shop, and it was a pretty great experience. He, of course, wanted to look at all the guns, various knives, boats, fishing equipment, and flannel shirts. I kept commenting on the massive number of dead animals that serve as decor. However, I did need to get a case for a recently inherited shotgun that I keep strictly for defense, and the guy at the gun counter was super helpful in finding me something inexpensive that perfectly serves the purpose. He was appropriately friendly and caught on pretty quickly that I wasn't a gun buff, but he didn't make me feel the least bit out of place compared to the more traditional Bass customers that were all around. Frankly, I'd be comfortable asking him all kinds of dumb questions. I also found a small box of ammo and some safety glasses for the shooting range, and when I walked out, I realized I'd spent less on all that than when I priced it on Amazon -- which is kind of a miracle these days. My favorite part, though, was the dogs. I didn't realize it was a dog-friendly store, but I was thrilled to see several dogs on leashes, including the prettiest little red-nosed pit bull shopping with her family. I love that Bass Pro Shops has no problem with the *whole* family shopping together and doesn't even blink at so-called "aggressive breeds," as long as the individual dog is well-behaved. Bass Pro Shop is not a store I ever would have thought I'd visit, but I know if I need anything else for the gun I hope I'll never have to use, I'll be headed up to Round Rock in a heartbeat. read more

Stopped in today because we had an hour to blow before a movie. I had 3 things on my list to check out I stopped by the archery "shop" to see if they would order and replace the cams on one of my bows. I asked the guy at the counter if they work on bows there he responded by asking another guy. He replied I think so, I asked if I could bring a bow in that wasn't purchased there or do they just work on the brands they sell. He responded "brains? I don't think we work on brains" like a snot nose little punk. I just told him forget it, I am not going to leave any of my bows here to get worked on with that incompetence. Never even got to the reloading powder, dies or the kayaks. Guess I will keep taking my bows to Nocked and Loaded and drive past this to Cabelas on anything else. read more

Went earlier in the day on a Saturday to avoid crowds and traffic and had no problems with either. I also had no problems finding an employee to help locate what I was looking for. I would not go during mid-afternoon/early evening times or certain holiday sale times because of its location near the outlet mall. read more

I have gone to this Bass Pro location a lot since it opened. There have been some really great employees there that have helped me. Brett in boating and Doug at the gun counter are my go to people when I want something in either section. Dave in fishing is my fishing guy. I would give the store 5 stars, but the same employee ignored me for the third time since the store opened up. I finally got her name this last time - Christi with really long dark hair, and she's only about 5 feet tall. I have had three bad experiences with her and no good ones. The first time I thought she may have been just busy, but after the last two times I realize that she just doesn't care to help or she doesn't know anything about the store. One time, she pretended she didn't hear me when I asked a question, even though I was right next to her. The next time she said "I think they are in fishing, when I asked where primer caps were. The most recent occasion last month, she was so busy talking to another employee, I had to wait until she finished talking even though she was looking right at me while talking seeming to hope I'd go away. I purposely sought her out this time to see if she would help, and I wanted to get her name if she wouldn't so I could let everyone know to stay away from her. I was in to look at purchasing two kayaks today, but after my experience with her, I changed my mind and went elsewhere to purchase them. She is around customer service everytime I have dealt with her, so I assume that's where she works. Definitely the wrong spot for her. Maybe she'd be better cleaning the aquarium? read more

I came in to buy a shotgun for my friend's birthday (who can legally own a shotgun) and so I went and talked to one of the older salesmen behind the gun counter. He immediately started talking down to me and judging everything I would say. I told him the one I wanted which was a little bit cheaper and had synthetic parts as opposed to wood and he said he didn't have it without even looking. I told him I talked to a woman on the phone earlier and she said they did have it in stock. He degradingly stated that woman don't work behind "this counter" and "those girls don't know what they're talking about". I then pointed to the one he had just told me they didn't have, which was right behind him. He then asked me why I would choose the synthetic over wood and I told him I was just going to replace the parts with aftermarket ones anyways and he accused me of going all "tacticool" with it. I told him thats how my friend wanted it because I was getting it for a surprise for his birthday and he immediately put everything away. He accused me of committing a felony of a straw purchase which would be true if I was buying it for someone unable to legally own a firearm using their money but I told him I had no intent of doing that. Getting it for someone as a gift is completely legal. I just don't understand how working in sales, why it was necessary for a salesman to be so belittling to a customer. I then went to another local store where they were much more professional and made my purchase there. read more
