Sally online has Wahl clippers at $159.99 available for pick up. Sent my son to get them. He came home with a receipt showing he paid $175.99. Bait and switch. I contacted corporate customer service, I'm not sure if that will get me anywhere. Update; I reached out to customer service as Ryan down there suggested, this is the response I got. Because I bought the clippers in California, the price is different than the price shown online. Let that sink in. If you pick and choose what price you're charging per state, maybe have the 'buy in store' button reflect that? Wouldn't that be fair? I'm missing the service in your customer service. As some have already mentioned, Customer Service was horrible. Was asked if we needed help but with attitude and employee was rude throughout the entire interaction. I tried to be friendly in hopes that it would shift the energy. We should've just left honestly but it was difficult to process in that moment. read more

Super helpful staff, they actually seemed to be happy to work at Sally's. It's a mid-sized store, clean, well stocked for its size and nicely organized. It's exactly what I expected a Sally's to be. Glad they still have a place in the community with all the Sephora's and Ulta's around. They serve a different and great need. read more

Came here tonight about 20 mins before closing. 2 workers, 1 young emo girl and a guy didn't say a word. No hello or welcome. Pretty rude attitudes and not friendly at all especially while paying. I was on a mission today - finding heat resistant gloves to prevent my hands from getting burned when curling my hair, and they have it, yessss!!!! I called them before coming, and the associate answered the phone right away, and I got here as soon as possible - mission completed!!! I also do like that the associates leave me alone to browse and help when I needed it. Last thing I need is a pushy associate following me around. I have the typical dark thick black asian hair. It took me many expensive salon visits to become super blonde. I enjoyed it for a few months and was ready to go back to black, but didn't want to continue paying salon prices. I also know that going from super blonde to black can cause green hair if you don't do it right. I decided to try doing it on my own anyway. I went down to Sally Beauty and decided I should see if anyone there could help me. The staff at Sally Beauty were super helpful! They told me what I needed to buy and how to use it so that it would keep my hair semi-healthy, and it worked exactly as they said it would! Went there this morning looking for hair tape and i walk in and the girl behind the counter ignores me as she's chatting with her friend about phone apps, then I say "hi, I'm looking for hair tape" and she says "Hold on!" and continues chatting to her friend about phone apps. then I said, "excuse me, I'm in a bit of a rush can you please tell me where it is?" She ignores me and screams across the store to the back for another girl to help me and the other girl said "we don't have any" not bothering to at least look around or anything. Then I ask the same girl at the counter who is still chatting about phone apps, "Do you know of anywhere else I could find some or another store?" (because this is the 3rd sally's I've been to that is out of it) and she just ignores me and says "no" and continues to talk about phone apps. I've worked in customer service for years, and I understand people have bad days, etc. but there is no reason for her to treat me like trash and dismiss me like this. Now I will never go back to that store--If she doesn't like her job, she should find another one, it isnt like she was slammed with customers and just really busy. No reason for this! read more

A small chain, but they had the military brush I was looking for and even though I didn't have a Sally's membership card, she gave me a dollar discount, so I can't complain. This branch is more for ladies cosmetics than things like men's pomade and stuff, but their prices are great. read more

They are super incompetent and rude. Horrible service. I bought a few hair care products and noticed that I got charged way more than the prices online (that was where I first saw the products before venturing into the store so I had calculated how much I would be spending on those items). Anyway I was told that the prices in their store should not agree with those that were online. When I asked why, I was told - theres no reason. If you don't like the prices we charge here at this store, then buy your items online, we don't sell them for the online price. (WHAT?) I felt horrible since I overpaid, but they did not give me any form of customer service or "end result" for this. That makes NO sense considering that most companies align their store prices to their online prices. It makes me sick to my stomach to think that any of these ladies are pocketing extra profit because of this. read more

It's been a long time since I've shopped at Sally's, but I came to buy gel nailpolish, as I'm really tired of normal polish coming off in less than a week, and would rather not spend the time or money in the nail salon every few weeks. I had no idea what was required, but the lady at the register was helpful and gave me a couple options for the UV Light and showed me the starter kit. I ended up buying that and two polish colors which cost about $100. Sally's isn't the most inexpensive place, and I'm sure I could find things online for cheaper, but they helped me with what I needed, since I had no idea what to get. Buying the $5 membership helped save me over $10 in that purchase alone which was cool. I'd go here again, but will probably see if I can buy gel nailpolish online. read more

Beauty products aren't really my thing and I typically frequent drug stores for my make up and hair supplies, since I'm so low-maintenance. My aunt requested some specific moisturizer from this place so I obliged and went there to pick it up for her. I was pleasantly surprised by how inexpensive all the stuff here is. I was also pleasantly surprised by how friendly the staff at this location is. I walked in and had no clue where to find what I was looking for and I was greeted warmly by the salesperson who was happy to help. She walked me to the precise area and even carried the heavy container back to the counter while I perused the shelves for some more finds. I might have to check this place out more often for my future beauty needs. read more

I went in today, only having 20 minutes to shop, and not knowing what to look for. I was standing in the hair color aisle for about ten minutes when a very enthusiastic team member approached me and asked me if I needed help. All I had to do was flash her a quick picture of what I wanted, and in less than 10 seconds, she got me everything I needed. When it came time to check out, the cashier (who very politely greeted me upon my arrival) was quick, friendly, and helpful. She gave me great recommendations and made the transaction as smooth and pleasant as possible. read more

They don't have the biggest variety of products but they do have the essentials. I live a few blocks away so it's convenient to go here than up the street to ULTA and it would be more expensive there. Plus I always rather support my local Temple City shop. You just have to ask for what you need and they will show you what they have, which is if not the exact thing then the next best thing. They're pretty good about returns too. I give it a 5 because they usually have what I need, they're helpful, and I've never had a bad experience here. read more

This is my favorite local Sally's. Customer service has always been great (so much better than the Rosemead location seriously!) my favorite goodies are always there and plenty of new things to catch my eye. My only complaint is that the wild colored hair dyes are kind of picked over or just not in stock? whenever I go it's pretty bare bones.. Also would love if they offered the crazy hair colors in demi permanent..Sometimes I want something that doesn't wash out right away but I also don't want to permanently stick with one color especially if it's wild. Feeling jipped from this store. They charged me 2.50 for a beauty rewards membership and promised me $5 off my next purchase. Sounds like a great deal up until I never received an email regarding my discount. when I went into the store the next time around looking to redeem it, they just handed me a customer service phone number to call like as if this happens all the time. Their prices online are completely different from their in store prices, let alone being more expensive from target and other retail stores. When I asked them why, they told me that the prices online makes up for shipping so it evens out??? The sales associates in the store are completely incompetent when it comes to beauty. I asked them multiple questions regarding hair dyes and shower caps and each time they reply with "I don't know", "maybe", or "I think so...". I really regret making a rewards account with them.
