I would give this location a zero if I could. I think the manager helping me was a new manager too because he didn't know their own exchange policy. I came it to exchange some candles my mom had bought on sale and they didn't honor the price adjustment. It was also way before the 30 day deadline and they told me I couldn't exchange them since they were bought on sale. Their exchange policy clearly states that an item can be returned for an even exchange for product for product (the candle for a candle) and the price would be adjusted. I ended up just going to a different location and they helped me and even gave me money back since the candles that my mom bought were more expensive than the ones I was exchanging with. They also told me that they were basically trying to scam me to get their sales higher. read more

I've been double charged twice at this location. First time the card reader wasn't working because it would turn on and off. (Understandable inconveniences happen) 2nd time on 26th, the card reader wasn't working working fine but I got double charged? I lost my receipt and called to see if there anything or if I can personally show bank statements. The male manager just had a sassy attitude saying there's nothing he can do. This place is incredibly inviting during the holidays! They have lots of new scents and fragrances and also the old school ones too. This place is on the pricier side but has great deals during the holidays. The only reason why I am giving Bath and Body 3 stars is because although they have great scents and a wide array of products-- their customer service needs some work. When you walk inside maybe 1-2 people are incredibly polite and the rest are only nice to you if you "look like" you will buy something. I came in today and was greeted by really nice people that work there and was excited for their buy three get three free deal. I was looking at the sanitizer holders and there was a drawer of sanitizers open that I was right next to. And one staff person told me to not take stuff from the drawers. I told her I did not open that drawer and she still assumed I did and walked off and pretended to help another person after closing it. Went in to buy some soaps and candles for my wife's birthday. I have no idea of what she likes, so I asked an associate "Grace" for help. She immediately stopped what she was doing and asked me which kinds of scents my wife likes. After a few minutes she helped me find some lotions, candles and body creams that my wife would like. Customer service has always been below mediocre during a visit. Also, I've tried three times in different months since the last time my "BOPIS" Buy Online, Pick Up In Store was canceled due to "Out of Stock", and again every attempt was canceled. I haven't had any other rejected/canceled orders from other Bath and Body locations except Serramonte, so I just finally have up on them today. Waste of time putting in the order, and having the unsure feeling whether or not they're going to cancel you again because for some reason their POS can't keep up with online orders. I always tag along with the better half when i walk into here. It's located in Serramonte mall so parking is not a problem. They always seem to have deals going on. Workers were helpful and polite. I wander around smelling the different scents and try different testers. Clearance bins always seem to be a mess but that's not the workers fault. I went in Yesterday morning 10-12-21 right when they opened to return a candle that I had bought online with my receipt. Deborah was nervous because it was her first day in charge and Deborah could not do a return with my receipt because the system had changed and asked another employee for help. Deborah did a return without receipt and wanted to give me store credit and I told Deborah now we have a problem I have a receipt and want my refund returned to my card. Deborah told me to go to the bath and body work in Colma for my refund and gave me the customer service number just in case I needed it. When you are having your employees tell paying customers that you are out of reusable bags but one employee puts a huge (not 1 Or 2 bags) stack of reusable bags in an "employees' purchase " right in front of everybody, there's an issue. Justifying it with telling the customer that the employee purchased 120 candles earlier when there is an 18 candle limit but you okayed it, shows that you are not doing your job as a manager. read more

I went to Serramonte store 12-7-21 at 8pm and the cashier, Aiisilinn was very rude and naïve. She treated the customer with an attitude and she gave misleading information. Even though she knew what she said was wrong and wasted my time, she did not apologize. I asked for manager, the manager seems to be weak and couldn't handle the transaction either. I came in here today and was greeted by summer! She was amazing and helped me all the way through my whole experience. I walk and had coupons which were buy something for 10 and get a free purchase for 14. They had a sale today with small candles being 5 each so I use that for my purchase and got a 14 spray. Summer made sure I was able to get all of the things that I walked in and needed. When you walk to the front they had hand sanitizers. I traded my candle in for the hand sanitizer. Very good deal! So I was back in Daly City this past weekend and a bunch of us ended up heading to the mall (wow, just like old times). I went into B&B to get some of my favorite Sweet Pea lotion. Since I'm always in a rush, I don't peruse....I ask where the product is, pick it up, pay and leave. I walked up to one of the ladies working - Angelique - and asked her where my lotion was. Then I asked her where the Pomegranite was. Then she told me about the SALE. Sigh. So I bought my set and headed to the counter where I asked her about the Wallflower sale. This place is pricey if there isn't a sale. BUT if there's a sale... it's a steal! The candles, wallflowers and handwashes are the best here. Yeah the candles are a little on the expensive side, but they make my house smell so good. Works better than regular air fresheners you get at target. I like coming in here because the sales team are always so friendly and helpful. One time the lady told me to come back when the sale comes in a few days so I could save some money. I received horrible customer service at the cash register by a girl named ALMA. She refused to honor the candle sale price for me in such a disrespectful way, and even got interrupted during my transaction to speak with another coworker about how she would honor another customer the sale price literally right in front of my face. I ended up leaving everything I had at the register and walked out. AND as soon as I was walking out of the store she yelled at me that oh now she would do it for me. I never went back in and kept walking and I will NEVER go to bath and body works again or recommend this place to anyone I know. Customer service could use some improvement. I was not greeted when I entered the store, even though a sales associate was standing right near the entrance and she wasn't busy. She did not offer any assistance, and it took several minutes until another employee approached me to see if I needed anything. While that sales associate did answer my question, she was quick to walk away right after, and when I asked a follow up question, she didn't come off as all that knowledable and gave off the vibe that she too didn't want to help me, that she'd rather go off and do other things. I don't mean to be a negative nancy, but I don't think the people who work here will ever get the, "Oh, I'm just looking" reply. The people who work here are super sweet, don't get me wrong, but the vibe they give off is, DESPERATE. And it's not just this Bath and Body Works, but most of them that I've been to. Maybe that's how they train their employees. BE AGGRESSIVE. I don't even shop at this particular one anymore. Every time I would go in I would be bombarded by the employees telling me about all the new "deals" they have, and by the time they are done explaining everything my birthday would already pass. Then I would proceed to look around and another employee would try and tell me what the other girl just told me. They would constantly offer me a huge shopping bag when I literally only wanted to buy a small thing of lotion, but whatev. Then as I check out, the woman behind the counter would ask me, "Oh this is all? We have buy one get one free of this, and BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH." My advice: Don't make eye contact when you first walk in. That seems to work. On another note, A+ for their products. Ok I've been a customer for years, but never in my life have I had to go next door to the adjoining candle place to pay for my items. I came in, shopped and took my time since there was their big sale going on. Yes, I was greeted, and the girls were nice. They were clearly setting up shop for whatever new items were coming, and their counter was covered in bags and other items. When I went to pay (roughly $30 worth of product) I had these girls giggle and tell me I have to pay next door. No big deal, I can walk. I went over, and there's one poor girl manning the register and there's a huge line! Also there was a clearly irritated customer giving the poor girl a hard time with a return or mistake, whatever. What angered me was the conduct of the other girls who were too busy decorating to help their coworker (I guess, they were wearing different aprons but the stores adjoin??) and to make sure their customers didn't have to wait. I waited roughly 10 minutes and the line hadn't moved. I looked around and the other girls didn't care, and just kept clowning around on the other side. I set my bag down and left. Hopefully they cleaned it up and not the other girl who deserves a raise. I experienced unexpected rudeness/service from sales associate, Seth. My friends and I was standing in line waiting to pay for our merchandise. There was a lady in front of me. When one of the cashier became available, she called the next customer in line. The lady in front of me didn't respond. The cashier and we thought she was with the lady in front of her. Therefore, she gave me an eye contact and I proceed to pay for my items. The moment I pulled out my wallet, Seth(the other cashier) said we cut off the lady behind the counter loud and rude. I went back to the line and waited for my turn. I would not go to Seth to make my transaction. Both the female cashier and my party thought Seth was very unprofessional and the behavior was not necessary. The girl whose name is "Carolina" really discriminate male. A female use the same coupon has been honor and I wasn't honor with the same coupon. Such service is not acceptable. I would consider this as false advertisement as well. If they only honor this to ladies, they should only say apply to "Females".
