The next closest stand-alone one is in Milestone in Germantown, which isn't wildly far away, but they sometimes seem to have supply issues for certain scents.* This new location in Downtown Crown is near Sephora, across from Coastal Flats and next to the old Zagg storefront (which moved over by UPS). There is a strip of 30 minute street parking available in front, or the garage around the bend from Ruth's Chris if you don't want to fight for space in the surface lot by the Harris Teeter haha I checked online to make sure the scents I was interested in would be in stock (assuming the corporate website was accurate) and headed in for the soap and sanitizer sale they had today. It is such a thoughtfully laid out location, and to say they had plentiful supplies of every type of item is an understatement! Everyone was friendly, and helpful, and when there wasn't any of the vanilla sanitizer out, they voluntarily checked their storage in front and back, and made sure to put more out by rearranging the display. This is the kind of location that will get me in the door more often than I should shop for some of these things, but it was such a joy compared to more stressful times I've had in mall locations, etc. [*Germantown tangent: I had been looking for travel sized Warm Vanilla Sugar all last fall/winter there and they never had it despite having tons of like 3 scents. To my surprise it was offered for store pick-up if I ordered ahead, so that's what I did. They actually never had it, and they game me a full size one for the price of travel instead. I initially came in around 2:00 PM to redeem my birthday gift. For some reason, I couldn't access the QR code in the app, even though I was able to add the free gift to my cart online. I simply wanted to see the available options in-store before placing the order, and also asked for help locating my QR code. The associate was dismissive, refused to show me the options, and did not offer any assistance. Since I was already there, I placed an in-store pickup order at 2:10 PM and asked how long it would take. I was told it would take about an hour for the order to appear in the system. However, I received the confirmation that my order was ready just 10 minutes later--after I had already left the store. This made it clear that the wait time I was given was inaccurate and misleading. When I returned around 3:30 PM, I showed my order number and confirmation email. The associate ignored me while she was on her phone texting and only acknowledged me after she finished. This felt unprofessional and disrespectful. Before handing me my order, she asked for my ID, which felt unnecessary given that I had the full order details and confirmation on my phone. In the end, she barely checked it anyway. Overall, the experience felt dismissive, unhelpful, and unprofessional. Customers should not be ignored, misled about wait times, or refused basic assistance when asking simple questions.

First I walked around to see what they had and then I had someone ask me if I needed help, which I did. She pointed me in the direction of what I asked for but then left me. I still didn't find what I wanted and I kept walking around the store. I had two more sales associates help me but both of them quickly disappeared. Nobody seemed like they were trying to make a sale. I noticed the color of eye shadow I wanted was out of stock and someone tried to check and see if they had it in the back but it took over 10 minutes for her to finally come back and tell me they didn't have it. I began to notice that a lot of their inventory was low. They had plenty of sales associates standing around looking pretty but it didn't really seem like customer service was the most important thing on their minds. More of a Plum at best. The foundation and blush comes in tiny plastic baggies that contained enough for maybe two foundation applications and three blush applications (this I was okay with). As far as the foundation was concerned. All of the shades I got were too light (Honeycomb, Rattan, Bamboo) and I think I'm more into their deeper tones (Toasted Almond, Roasted Chestnut, Cashmere), however I do not wish to pay three more dollars per sample and wait another two weeks for delivery. On the good side, the blushes turned out okay. The peach gives me a just tanned sultry summer look, and the Dahlia and Hibiscus make beautiful light pink/red pink looks respectively. The brush set, although expensive I liked very much as it is made from soft vegan fibers, recycled metal, and bamboo, and comes in a natural cotton and hemp cosmetic roll with tie closure. Great for traveling! Although I like the blushes and brushes, I don't know if I will order anything from this company, as they do not allow for returns and I was not impressed with most of there products. I will try Alima Pure as they have $1.50 samples, and 100% Pure which does not offer samples themselves, but has a 30 day return policy. I also may try bellafloria.com which offers custom sample kits you can create for 100% Pure's blushes and eye shadows.
