I was so excited to visit a stand alone BBw and my candles were on sale! I walked ready to spy their normal prices but in I walked and BAM! They were on sale! This store like most was extremely clean and organized perfectly. I'm not sure why this one is keeping a mask mandate in place, when it's no longer a thing in Maryland. For some shoppers I would be careful. I have some friends who won't go into stores with this mandate in place. I contemplated this. In the end I decided to just go buy my candles. The ladies in the store were very friendly and happy to help me spend money:) they were very gracious with a coupon I had as well. Girl at front of store tried to be helpful, looking for a scented candle- but when I ask about car fresheners that explode ( I had just gotten one last week and was made aware of this debating on returning mine) she knew nothing about it. At cashier- extremely rude. Ask if aI wanted a bag, I reluctantly said I did- and she repeated herself acting rude. I will try the other store in Downtown crown- miss the one that had been at Rio, never an issue. Another negative experience- the one Clarksburg outlets. All nice in the beginning- I didn't want to carry 4 jars of candles walking, asked if I would pay and pick up on way back. I was advised she would put in basket to hold. Ok. When I came back it was noted for next time they couldn't do that. Lady you suggested it. Long time for a next time. Where is today's customer service???????????????????? read more

This is my favorite bath and body works because most people forget it's here. I go super early whenever they have a sale and stock up on everything lol. The staff is super friendly and attentive. What did I get myself into? I was following a friend. She loves this place. I assumed (as a guy would) that it's lotions, potions, and other things I'd have no interest in. I was wrong. I enjoy candles, and they don't have an excessive amount which is great! After smelling all of them, I found about 5 that I really liked. To top it off, they were on sale. I would have spent almost $100 on candles, but ended up spending $40. LOOK AT GAWD!!!! He will save you money if you let Him!!! I also enjoy a plug in. However, I can't be bothered with the fancy styles. I just want to plug it in and create an atmosphere. I don't require fish, snowflakes, etc. Fragrance only, PLEASE! 5 star service!! I spontaneously passed here after work to replace a beautifully scented candle given to me by mom that I accidentally shattered a few weeks ago. Im not too familiar with B&BW's products by name, so I winged it when I entered the store hoping to recall the scent by memory. Long story short, Elizabeth was helpful in attending to me and pointing me in the right direction. Unfortunately, they were out of the candle I assumed was the scent I was looking for, but she made some excellent alternative recommendations. Also, she was kind enough to give me her 20% off coupon to use. Customers truly appreciate that extra effort, and now this store has earned a regular shopper!! Pro tip: The store is clean with tons of light and particularly well organized. Its not a huge space, so I can imagine it getting crowded on a busy weekend, so plan accordingly. read more

I usually do not write reviews like this, but I came during the holiday buy three get three free sale. I entered asking for a scent that would match a oil I purchased. One worker in particular by the name of Catherine stood out to me. She was very kind and put her best effort into finding the perfect scent. I came here on a weekend because there was a BOGO deal on 3-wick candles. I generally find that prices here are more on the expensive side unless there is a sale or deal (ex. candles are $22.50 for one). Some of the fragrances offered have a strong scent so it is a matter of personal preference. There is a good selection of candle scents ranging from limited holiday ones to more unique ones such as mahogany coconut, tobacco flower, and japanese cherry blossom to name a few. Hand soaps were 6 for $24 and there was a similar deal for hand sanitizers. The foaming soaps do not last as long as the liquid soaps, but they are both offered at the same price. It was quite busy in the store, and I noticed that there were only two associates who were both on cash registers. A customer had to actually approach one of them at the register since no one was available on the floor. The lack of staff can deter customers from making a purchase if they have questions about a product. I had a mobile coupon to use at checkout, and they were very receptive to it. Definitely did not plan to find a Bath and Body Works in this shopping center, but what a relief that I am no longer obligated to navigate a crowded mall to get my scent fix. The store is always bright and neat and organized. The staff is pleasant and helpful without being pushy and I can usually find what I need here. The selection is a bit limited though... during my last visit, I came in looking for the nourishing hand cream. While some stores carry as many as 15+ different varieties, they had only five. Every time I visit, it seems like they are always debuting new scents. Their displays change often, so I'm always finding something new there. read more

I went in here last week. Saleswoman was African American, attractive, heavy set. I asked about spray in front and thought perhaps it was air fragrance. She laughed so loud and inappropriately and said heavens no. That was an easy mistake and she made such a scene. I went around looking at sales and only one other couple in store and they left. She never came over to assist me. I had to come to her to ask questions and she seemed annoyed each time like I was bothering her. I said I was ready to check out and she came up and was in such a hurry. I asked for a smaller bag and again she was annoyed. The system asks for your email to track your account and she kept reaching over the counter pushing the buttons I was supposed to do for MY account. I said, "I wanted an email receipt and my phone number to be put in to give me points and you pushed the buttons for me." she said it was no big deal and she would add my email later. Always have issues at this location. Went there last week to take advantage of my free rewards. I asked 2 different associates if they took the rewards program and both told me yes. I made sure to ask both of them because (in the past) I've asked only one person and they were wrong. Bought my purchase, went to check out and presented my barcode to only be told they don't accept rewards. I explained that both associates told me they did and was questioned who specifically I asked. I pointed out the 2 people I spoke to and she radioed to ask if I was actually told that. I was told that the 2 people I asked thought it was a screenshot of a mail coupon. First, they have told me in the past that they don't accept screenshots and secondly, the rewards card was shown to both on my phone. Regardless, they refused to allow me to use my free rewards. My daughter (who was with me) had a mail coupon for a free item with a $10 purchase. She presented her 2 items and was told the 1 item she chose to be free couldn't be because she could only get what they specified. It's always a hassle at this location. read more

As soon as I walk in I was greeted by an associate asking me how I was doing and was i looking for anything in particular. When I needed help finding a certain product the sale associate made it easy for me and also at check out she asked if I had any coupons and also advised me that I'm able to use the coupons I receive by email in the store. read more

Although I've been to this location many times I had never encountered the appalling type of customer service I did today. I was in the store to purchase gifts for the upcoming Mother's Day holiday. Shelly who claimed to be a manger literally huffed and puffed about my son knocking 3 items down that did not break. I even told her that, that wasn't what my sister was laughing about and told her I would have paid for them had he broken anything. When I asked to speak to a manager she told me it was her and when I asked for her name she told me "Shelly, report me I don't care." She basically yelled it. I really wish someone beside us had been in the store to witness this. Never going back there again! I gave it one star because no stars isn't an option. read more
