Went there with my mom a few months ago and the saleswoman who seemed in her 50s almost seemed annoyed at our arrival. Kept pursing her lips whenever we asked for price or if it was available in another shade. She had literally no knowledge on makeup or any product. It seemed as if we were buying those things for free. True those products are at wholesale prices but there the difference isn't poles apart. Maybe a few dollars. Atleast you get a lot more variety and most importantly good bedside manners when you go to another makeup store like Sephora/ulta/Mac. Today I called them to check if they had a certain bbcream shade. she said they didn't have it. I asked her if she could tell me how much it costed. said she couldn't tell me. She claimed I have to come down to her store just to find out the price. What in the world!? Are these people for real? I just hung up. They can keep those low prices which I tell you aren't even ridiculously low. Never again! read more

I have been going to this store for a few years. Never really liked the service but I was trying to save a few bucks.. this past Saturday (1-4-2020) i purchased 7 bobbi brown eyeshadow sticks and a lipstick by tom ford and i paid $120. I was happy knowing i am saving money. When i came home, on a whim i decided to use my macro lens that gets attached to your iphone. I took snapshots of the sticks and realized they have hair-like substances and bacteria all over them - which is not visible to the naked eye. I went back the next day asking if they would refund or exchange and they said no. When i asked to the first salesgirl in the store who was putting her makeup on when i arrived, if there was a manager she said no manager today. Minutes later, Irene, the older woman arrived and I know her to be the manager. Again i explained and wanted to show her the pics, but she refused and when I asked her title, she said she was the assistant and gave me a number to head office to call then turned her back and went to the back of the store. Rude! I called the number and emailed them the receipt and asked that at least three of the most outrageous sticks be refunded or exchanged. To date no response. I will never set foot in that store again and it is only when u have a problem that u know if a store service is good or bad. I had been spending thousands there and they lost me as a customer. I think the products are expired leftovers from stores hence no return policy. read more

I went in there today looking for a gift for a friend, and I was incredibly disappointed. First of all, all the product samples they had out were nastier than usual. I saw one woman trying on lipstick straight from the tube -- EW! I couldn't find the item I was looking for so I asked one of the ladies working, and she nastily informed me they had sold out of it "months ago". So then I asked her if she had a suggestion for a similar product, and she was super snarky and rude. She seemed irritated that I was even asking questions, and rudely informed me that if I was looking for a certain color I should just get her that color and walked away. I won't ever go back. Went in today looking for my MAC foundation, they didnt have it so I went to the Bobbi brown section. I started asking the 2 ladies that was working but they made me feel like i was bothering them. Like, I would say, "excuse me", and one of the ladies there would take a very deep breath and then answer me. Umm, reminder, if you do not hve customers coming in, there wouldn't be anything for you to re-stock. Also, it is a cosmetics company, you would think they would hire peeps that actually look like they know the products they are selling and would wear them. Great deals. BUT. The staff (especially one particular middle-aged, light haired woman) is horrible. She will try to make you feel like shit. Be ready for that and give her as good as you get. It's worth it for the amazing deals. I've often found my discontinued favorites there. read more

The staff is not great or very knowledgeable here but they have a decent selection of high-end makeup that is much cheaper than anywhere else. I come here to get my MAC and since I know what I am looking for would rather pay less and just deal with the customer service. read more

Worst Customer Service. The Manager Mareene at Cosmetic Company Store at Clarksburg MD is Worst manager I have ever come across. I Picked up a wrong shade, missed a number and the very next day I went to EXCHANGE it, with the same priced, same brand product and I was not able to get it done. We requested and waited for at least 10 min to convince her as the shade we accidentally picked up was not good too and I won't be able to use it. This rating is for the customer service of the store manager Silvia Tobar. I would give her a negative star rating if I could. Products are usually in good shape and the prices are good, but all products are older then those in department stores, I've seen some cosmetic items here with batch codes in 2008. Be very careful with this store, if you go there multiples times, you might be regarded as a "reseller" and treated like you are a "thief"!! I have been there 4 times and will never shop there again. I went there recently with my mom. I was interested in the perfumes, so I tested one of the samples on my wrist. The saleswoman who seemed in her 50s was very very rude. When I asked to see the product behind the counter, she seemed very annoyed. Before she let me see the product, she said, "you already tested the sample....." I wanted to buy 3 of the perfumes and she snapped at me saying that she cannot sell me 3.. only 2. So I went to the cashier to buy 2 with my mom and there was a written policy on the side saying that each customer is allowed to buy 3 of the same products. When i mentioned that to her, she took a deep breath and very rudely said, "like I said, when there is a limited amount in stock, I can determine how many I want to sell the customer." That makes no sense and even if that is true, she did not have to say it in that tone. Very rude and upset about my experience here. read more
