I was able to pick up a bottle & afterwards was trying on perfume samples. It's nice because they have paper tabs you can just spray on to test the scent. There were lots of new scents I've never seen before. I'm in a change-of-season mode looking for a lighter, less musky scent esp. since the weather's been in the 80°s. I didn't find anything that suited me but at least was able to smell some. I like how they have the perfume bottles anchored with an extendable wire to prevent thefts. Attendants were helpful from the time I entered til the time I left. After I checked out, I was asked if I needed any help & remembered I wanted to check out a Kosas concealer. I was brought to the Kosas area & attended by Joe. He said he'd color-match me to avoid the guesswork. It's a hand-held device that is set to your forehead & cheek to get closer to the color tones of your skin. Joe chose a couple of shades & tested it on my hand then on my face after he sanitized the tester. I checked it by the window & settled for one mini-sized concealer. I also asked about a pressed foundation product as my Shiseido had been discontinued. He showed me a Dior balm type of product so he did the same test w/a couple of shades, sanitized again & tried it above my chin. I told him I'd wear it while walking around Whole Foods & see how it wears in the day before buying. I asked him for some tips to set makeup under the eyes & he gave some suggestions. I addressed some skincare concerns and he was limited in knowledge but that's fine. In time I'm sure he'll gain more experience. I'd say the associates I've worked with in the Nordstrom Beauty counters have more experience, IMO. Nevertheless, there are a ton of product lines including the Sephora brand which has its own merits. Brands evolve & I like to see the new products offered, new technologies incorporated, new colors & formulations. I like the convenience of buying online & pickup except for the locations at Kohl's. There are a lot of Sephoras in the area which is nice & their rewards program is an extra perk. They always have new sample sizes for 100 point rewards redemptions every month which is fun to look forward to. I've even redeemed La Mer skincare sets for 500 points! They also offer various makeup application classes & have certain product line events where they're launching new products. You can sign up online & check their calendar of events.

Can't rave enough about her! I first learned about Wax Fx and Lupe while searching on Groupon. She is easily reachable through her phone number listed, but if it goes to voicemail, you can text her. She offers a online link to schedule and manage your reservation. I think it's so convenient this way which is a huge plus in my book. It was a bit confusing trying to find the place as the mall area is already confusing enough with all the stores and the random streets. It's located right across from the Target. Her unit is located inside Salon & Spa Suites @ Park North. I believe it's Unit 39 -- there's a map upon entering the building; just look for Lupe's name. Lupe took her time getting all the hairs and also used tweezers for the hard to reach spots and tiny hairs. She was patient with me with all the questions I had and taught me a few new tricks. It is the most painless wax I have ever gotten as she would give you a warning before each wax strip. I usually laugh awkwardly in pain during waxes, but I didn't at all during this wax session with Lupe. That's how you know she's good. The entire session lasted about 30 minutes. She was very clean with the procedure and cleaning up. I also have really bad ingrown hairs and she gave me pointers. She also suggested a scrub ($18.50) that she sold and also gave me a few samples of other items. I was in the market for a new scrub as I just ran out. She wasn't pushy on the sale of the scrub which I liked. Overall, I finally found someone I trust with my waxes since moving here a year ago. Now I'm going to suggest her to all my friends.

Overrated and overhyped…read more Stopped in the other day while I was at the mall and while the visit was short and sweet, I was reminded of why I rarely shop at Lush. Starting with the good, the store itself was clean and fully stocked, the mixture of smells from all the tester products being used or on display was intense but still pleasant, and we weren't hounded by an associate. Well, we would have been had we not been ready to check out by the time the single associate present was finished with the customer ahead of us. I add the last point because it is a HUGE reason why I stopped going to Lush. Per an ex-employee I went to university with, employees are forced to give long spiels every collaboration or special event the store has to each customer that enters, otherwise they face consequences. Having learned this, I can't blame them when they follow me around the store until the obligatory sales pitch is over because I wouldn't want my pay docked either. That being said, it's still a hassle, and it already costs a small fortune to buy anything. For the Mario Movie Rosalina lip scrub and body spray I dared to venture into the store for it was over $70. If it wasn't for the fact that it was a gift, I quite frankly would have left without them. I could expect these prices from higher end brands, but I can't say these products lived up to their price tags. The lip scrub was the better of the two, though I've tried better lip scrubs, and the 'grape scented' body spray just didn't smell like grape. I'd say if you're really into a certain collaboration they have to offer, it might be worth it. Otherwise, I'd say do your research on skin care and body cosmetics because you can find better ones out there for similar prices and less hassle.

Upon entry, the floating aroma of various herbs and natural perfumes greeted me. The employees were kind and helpful as usual. I purchased the foaming milk bar and went away from my usuals and decided to try a couple of new bath bombs. I bought the Surprised Patrick bath Bonn and a Barbie bath Bomb. I have since used them both and they were not bad but I will stick to my usuals in the future. The Surprised Patrick turned the water the same color as the bath bomb. It left a residue in my bath tub (probably the coconut oil) and after dissolving, Patrick's pants were floating in the water! That was a hilarious surprise!!! I had the same experience with the Barbie bomb...pink residue. I also decided to try their organic deodorant, Aromaco, which I have fallen in love with. I have been using this deodorant and it lasts all day long with no irritation. It smells of fresh linen-clean and patchouli spice. I LOVE It! It was $80 for a mani-pedi and additional $15 for gel (mani) and $10 for French tips (pedi). They do not do acrylic. So this alone was crazy expensive to polish my real nails. Less than 4 hours later the top layer of my gel nails peeled off and 2 of my nails' gel came completely off. I called the next day and told Rachel what happened and she told me to come in so she could fix it but I couldn't come right away and she was booked, so I had to celebrate my birthday with incomplete polish on my nails. I haven't heard back from her and this was just on Friday (2/07). I don't know if I want to get my massage there but I hate to see my sisters' $200 go to waste especially since I already wasted $105 on a mani-pedi.
