I had a coupon and called Macy's in MB 5 times. The first 3 times I was transferred to wrong counters. #4 no answer . I have no idea why MAC associates are the most prude people out of all makeup retailers. I especially do not enjoy coming to this store because of the customer or lack of. I usually frequent the MAC store in downtown LA because It's convenient near work, but I had to make a quick trip to this mall to pick up a gift and killed two birds with one stone. I went into the Del Amo store recently for a exchange and had one woman help me then had another associate finish the exchange. There were a few girls who kept going in the back of the store rolling eyes, snickering back and forth and laughing for some odd reason. Also when asking questions they act as if they are completely bothered. So if you plan on shopping here do your research before to avoid major attitude! I'm also a professional MUA and I do not whatsoever announce that I am or act pretentious when I shop for my professional products. Tonight my friend and I wandered in to the MAC store in Del Amo mall and were immediately greeted by the nicest guy, Ronald. He was helping someone else at the moment but checked in on us a few times. When he was free he helped my friend find the right foundation and concealer. He demonstrated two shades on either side of her cheeks and showed her how to blend the prettiest blush as well. We were in shock at how perfect it was. Ronald knows his stuff! He's fun, professional and loves what he does. And here's the kicker. It was a few min before closing when we showed up. We had lost track of time and were only coming in for me to get a tube of lipstick! I've worked retail before and I know what it's like to get that last customer at closing time...it's so tempting to rush them out so you can get home on time. He was not like that at all. He was just plain awesome. Thanks Ron! We will be back for more very soon and will make sure you're there when we do! Oh and PS, they were out of the foundation that my friend wanted to buy, so Ronald made her a little sample to take home with her till they get another shipment in soon! I was a frequent customer of this store until recently. I have gotten tired of dealing with the snotty attitudes of their employees. I received an email from Mac letting me know that it was time to pick up my "birthday gift" for my membership in the rewards/loyalty program. Because this apparently needs to be redeemed in store, I went to this location one last time. The sales associate looked up my account and could not find the reward information, so she asked me to pull up the email. Fine no problem except the WiFi sucks in your store. Plus you know me as a past regular customer, and this should be easy to verify in your system. So I struggled with opening the email for about ten minutes while the manager explained that they couldn't just take my word for it. Finally I was able to get the email to open, and guess what. They had no gifts/rewards in stock to hand out. Couldn't you check on this before you insinuated that I was trying to cheat the system and had me struggle to open the email? BYE! read more

I have shopped here before and have not yet come across an employee even close to Stenisha's customer service! I must say Stenisha was just awesome! I visited this store last month and was so confused as to what colors I should wear for a concert that evening. Stenisha approached me and i gave her my dilemma. BOY was I glad I came in! She heard my ideas and went to town. She hit the nail right on target. She even showed me how to apply the darker colors of eyeshadows, because I mentioned I was not comfortable with applying it. She was so warm and sweet, to say the least. SHE MADE ME FEEL SO COMFORTABLE. I loved how she listened to my concerns and my goals and was able to vision exactly what I was going for. This review is for Jessica. I went to MAC last weekend in hopes of finding a nice neutral color long lasting lipstick for work. I told Jessica that I really don't wear lipstick because my lip have crease lines and I don't like how it looks (my lips are naturally full and beautiful though). Well, Jessica gave me a whole little pep talk about how my lips are beautiful and no one even notices that. I was convinced. I didn't go into MAC to get anything other than lipstick, but she was so helpful and patient that I ended up trying on other products. I ended up getting 3 lipsticks, a lip pencil, concealer, foundation, an eyebrow pencil and the new mascara (which I love!). Thank you, Jessica! read more

I was frantically looking for a makeup artist for a wedding I was going to after mine flaked out on me. After stopping in a couple stores looking for the MAC counter, they told me to go to the store because they were both booked. Thank god Ronald was able to fit me in!! He did an AMAZING job. I have never seen my makeup look this way. He explained everything he was doing and what he was using but didn't try to sell it like a used car salesman. The products simply sold themselves after seeing how my makeup looked after. He made the whole experience so enjoyable and I will definitely be coming to him EVERY time I have a event. He killed it! Buy $50 worth of make up & get a free makeover, that's pretty standard in all the MAC stores right? Well just know that these chicks work pretty hard at fixing ugly so if you're in a hurry come in with a smile and stop looking at your watch. This is place is cool if u know what you want & you can just toot it & boot it, but like I said don't come here with time constrains. It may take up to 30 min just to get a question answered about colors in between shades or if a certain product is available. This place is popping and if u seriously look around the other Macy's makeup counters they look like a ghost town. This means these chickies may be doing something right. So why the three stars u ask? I do believe the manager here should have a plan of action. It's notable that you have a lot of business and maybe even staff accordingly, but maybe you should consider the following? 1. Get a sign in sheet 2. Call people in by times 3. Take appointments over walk ins 4. Have a floor manager readily available to delegate task and charge clients who are ready to go and or take the easy consults to speed up the flow of traffic. Maybe then your turn around ratio could be more successful and I can give u more stars. BTW ask for "KARINA" she knows drag queen free make up art (not that there's anything wrong with that)! I recommend "SHELLY" I was deeply dissapointed not to find my favorite artist Shelly working at the MAC Store however to my suprise she just so happened to switch to the MACY's department and congrats to them because she is fantastic! Shelly's makeup skills and appliance are both exceptionally great! She always informs me on the latest new trends or new products out. She also always makes time for any of her clients she is helping out, talk about GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! If you want your makeup done she is the go-to-girl for any occasion. I tend to shop at this MAC store in Del Amo because it's the nearest one to me and I don't like going to make up counters in Macy's or Nordstrom BUT I'm not a fan of this location. It serves my needs because I usually know what I want so I'm in and out in a flash. The sales girls aren't that friendly, in my experience. Place stays fairly busy and is small so good luck getting someone's attention. If you're in the mall and need to go to MAC then go ahead and walk in but if you want help with a smile I say find another location. This is, quite possibly, the worst MAC store ever. The service is absolutely terrible here. I am a MAC pro member and usually come here on my days off in sweats with no makeup on. The girls look me over like I am some sort of peasant. On multiple occasions they have even given me attitude. I once when in there to pick up some translucent powder and the lady had the nerve to say "what do YOU need this for?". Her comment oozed that negative overly rude attitude. I didn't deserve that and I hate to see how she treats other customers. I wanted to give her a verbal beating but there was children in the room at the time. On a separate occasion I went in to inquire if they had velvetone browliner. They didn't. The sales girl was so desperate to make a sale that she told me that I don't need black because it looks funny. Well yes I do need black because I use it to fill in the part of my left brow that is missing. I don't use it to draw huge McDonalds arches on my brow. I have very dark black Asian hair and it does not look 'funny'. When a makeup artist tells you not to do something then you should always run the other way. This store and it's staff offends me professionally. I would never have treated my customers the way that they treated me. It is just mean. If you are looking to avoid overly negative comments and attitude then either go to this store completely dolled up or don't go to this sore at all. read more

BACK TO M·A·C Just recycled some old M*A*C containers at the *M*A*C Store* for some new goodies #BackToMAC #Recycle #MacMakeup Amber lights eye shadow Heroine lipstick Diva Lipstick #ComeUp #NewNew it seem like a slow day only one other customer in the store besides me so the staff was quick to help ke out. I had saved enough containers for three items! This is an excellent recycling program so dont throw out those empty containers because it could get you a free lipstick, eyeshadow or lip gloss at the Mac store. At the counter you can only get a lip stick. So you have a few more options if you recycle at the store. I also notice there was a security guard posted up in the store and to my surprise he was just as friendly and helpful at the people who actually work there. Although I'm sure his job is just protecting the store from any makeup stealing trolls lol All n all a good experience at this location. The mac store inside da amo mall. I like MAC eyeshadows and lip glosses, but what I cannot stand the most is HORRIBLE customer service. I went there a few weeks ago to return some stuff, and I was standing at the counter alone for a good 15-20 minutes before someone finally acknowledged me. Even when one of the make-up artists was ringing up a customer while I was standing there ...she clearly saw me, but still ignored me. I work in a customer service environment so I understand that it can get really busy..but ALWAYS greet your customers and let them know that someone will be to their assistance ...and not ignore them. read more

visited this particular location a handful of times.. and each time I've walked in, I never felt welcomed.. ALL the employees there (I'm sure I've seen about all that work there cause every time I visit there's always someone different) SEEM as if they HAVE TO help you.,.. It never seems as if they want too.. THIS is the type of place where the MAC boys think they are too pretty and the MAC girls constantly check you out from head to toe.. For instance today, I came in looking to buy a few new items that only the SOLO MAC stores carry.. I walk in and the chick comes up to me after several minutes of staring at different artists just talking or bunched up together in a corner somewhere... the first thing she looks at is MY purse... then MY PURSE again.. AT that point,, i was at the verge of telling her My LV WAS Genuine so back off!!!! I drove 20 minutes to buy that particular item and they didn't have it in stock.. she didn't care that they didn't have it either.. then I just walked over to MAC in Macy's and bought some liners and paint pots I originally was gonna purchase at the other MAC BUT after the lousy c. service.. I didn't want to give them my business.. although the MAC MACY'S isn't that much better when it comes to c. service.. the girls there actually want to sell you make-up not check you out. read more

I don't normally write review but the horrible experience here made me want to warn others. I know it's going to be busy on a weekend, I'm very patient when I know there's going to be a wait, but how the employees treated us was beyond anything I can stand. We were greeted when we came in and told someone would help us when they had a moment. After a while an employee asked us and another lady who needed help, and decided to help here even though we were there first. Ok fine, mistakes happen, it sucks but oh well right? After that we had another employee straight up look at as and smile while we just stood there, I figured she must have been busy so I didn't wont to bother her. Apparently not because another woman came up to her and the employee asked if she needed anything. At that point my friend and I had enough so we got out of there, but not before letting some other employees know how poorly we were treat and that we would not be shopping there again. Since I had such great service at the mac in Nordstrom's before, we went there after our disastrous experience and were acknowledged and helped very quickly despite the fact that they were even busier than the store we just left. So I got my make up done for a wedding. I told her that I wanted something to match my red bridesmaid dress & I even showed her a sample. She did such an amazing job. I received a lot of compliments & what I LOVED the most was that my make up lasted alllll night...I got it done around 11:45p (my appt was initially @ 12p but she was able to take me in early) & my make up still looked good when I came home late @ night (2am). This MAC is either a hit or a miss in terms of customer service. Sometimes, you will get outstanding service and help, and other times no one will assist you even though the store is empty. However, I will give them 5 stars for their skilled makeup artists. I've gotten my makeup done here three times, twice by Karmisha (who is absolutely AMAZING) and once by Kira. I have no idea if those girls still work there, but if they do, you MUST request them to do your makeup. These two girls seriously have magic hands. I told them I wanted bronzy makeup like Kim Kardashian, and I kid you not, they gave me exactly what I wanted. They listened to what I wanted, described step-by-step what they were doing and what products they were using, and even taught me how to do my own makeup. I love those girls! I had a bad experience at the MAC counter inside Macy's. Some guy gave me the worst makeup job I have ever gotten, it looked like I had no makeup on, and he messed up my eyebrows. When I went home, I took all the makeup off and redid it myself. So, if you want your makeup done, go to the MAC store, don't go to the Macy's counter. Also, this MAC store is always fully stocked, and they always have everything I'm looking for. read more

So, I checked this Mac out in the Macy's shopping center and my experience was horrible. I gave it a 1 star because: 1. I was there for 15 mins the first time and no one asked if I needed any help, so I left. 2. I came back the 2nd time and finally got some help after requesting it, girl was sweet. 3. The relationship with the workers are horrible, one of the girls there were so rude to the lady that was helping me. While assisting me she interrupted us and made sure the lady helping me heard her say, "make sure you clean your mess up after!" I was shocked. 4. They were out of everything. All the colors I wanted, they were out. (Captive was the one I really wanted,nbut ended up having to go to another location for it.) 5. The girls just starred, no one said hello.. Ended up buying a couple of colors and when I got home, I wasn't happy with it so I check out the galleria Mac in Macy's and traded it for the color I wanted. read more

The first time I shopped this MAC store, was in July 2015. I chose this MAC store because the MAC counter at Macy's was rude and ignored customers. A pregnant associate was extremely helpful and patient in helping me with foundation and pressed powder. I was happy with my purchase. I went into the (moved) MAC store last week and purchased a base/primer which I was not pleased with, so last night I attempted to return it in an EVEN exchange for the base/primer that the first associate put on me. I had left the receipt in my desk at work so I started to tell the associate my situation and she tried to sound nice but really came off flip (maybe because she was having a conversation with another associate and I guess I interrupted it) when she did not allow me to explain that I wished an even exchange. She told me no a return could not be done without a receipt. I didn't even have chance to tell her I wanted the other primer, which was same price. Both MAC products, different primers, same price. I walked out and told her i would be back with receipt from my desk. I ended up going to a department store's MAC counter, which took the MAC product and exchanged it gladly, without complaint, no questions asked, and gave me the MAC base/primer I needed. Not going to return to the MAC store at DelAmo. 5 stars for the first associate's service in July. Minus 2 for last night's non-service. read more

As a Mac Pro member I can only shop at the pro stores so I've been into many MAC shops from Las Vegas to LA to the valley. I can say that MAC del amo has always been and always will be my favorite. All the artists in there are so nice and welcoming every single time I go in. Sometimes I just go in to browse and sometimes I have a list of things and I need and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. For those who say you need to go in all dressed up or full face of make up I can genuinely say that this is probably the only store I've been in that isn't judgemental like that. I've been in there a couple of weeks after having a baby with no make up and messy hair and I got just as good service as the times I've gone in looking decent. Most MAC stores do have those bitchy artists who think they know it all because they work for MAC but not this store. Kudos MAC del amo! read more

This store is hit or miss for me. SOmetimes they are really helpful & sometimes not. I went here on my lunch break just to pick up some bronzer one day & they were SLOW but it took me forever to get someone to ring me up! A few months later, I waltz in on a busy friday night. THinking no one will help me, I start swatching eyeshadow. Then out of nowhere, a makeup artist, Belinda, comes to help me out! She was so helpful, helped me with everything from primer to eyeshadow! She even gave me a card with her name & told me to ask for her the next time I shop. I went back to MAC last Friday, busy day & again no one acknowledged me. THEN I went back today just to pick up a palette & the man helped me with that right away. While he was getting the palette, Belinda sees me & remembers me. She asked how all the products I had were working & I told her it was all great except for the foundation & I explain that its over 30 days but she says no problem & I am able to switch out the foundation for something else. Nice! So I go to this store knowing it will be hit or miss. I may try the El Segundo one, I hear they are consistently nicer over there! read more

First let's start with the Customer Service!! I went into the Macy's MAC and the customer service was HORRIBLE! I stood around waiting to see if anyone helped me and they unfortunately didn't, I had to physically tap one of the girls just so she would help me. I simply had a question about getting my make-up done, nothing that required much effort. Anyway, When I did get her attention she had an ATTITUDE. I went to the independent MAC store at the same location, mind you this is maybe 30 minutes before closing and I must say that RINA WAS AWESOME. I wanted my make-up done and she explained to me why every place was over-booked and what I should do. She went out of her way to call other MAC stores and see if there were any available appointments. Her customer Service was EXTRAORDINARY, even the other employee that was working with her came out and greeted us as well. She even went out of her way to help me get my make-up done for my birthday and I will say I was VERY impressed by the work. I will be coming back to this particular MAC store just to go see Rina! read more

Horrible customer service! You would think that after spending so much money on their products you would be treated with respect. I bought 3 lipsticks here and when I got home I realized that one of them was severely used. I went in 2 days later to exchange it receipt and all. Instead of getting a new lipstick and an apology I got accused of trying to return a used lipstick that was apparently from 2015. If I have a used lipstick it's because your employee gave me a used one. Why would a person that bought 3 expensive lipsticks 2 days ago be the same person who would hold on to a lipstick from 3 years ago and try to return it? She said "this time I'll make an exception" This time? You should be willing to exchange a defective item EVERY TIME. She then scanned it and said that "taxes had changed" and that I owed them 9 cents. I told them they could keep their dirty old lipstick and left It wasn't about the 9 cents it was about the fact that they had given me a used product and instead of giving me an apology and exchanging the product they gave me attitude and wanted to charge me for their mistake. Never shopping at any MAC ever again. If you want MAC products and good customer service please visit the Nordstrom in the same mall instead. I've had to return products there before and have been treated with the upmost kindness. Sometimes they don't even ask me for the receipt. Same at Sephora. MAC is a terrible company and for the price they are selling their products for this is inexcusable. Don't shop there. Don't continue to give them your business and let them think they can continue to disrespect their customers. read more

Today I came in and Erika helped me; I'm so glad that she did because she really went above and beyond to help! She color matched me and helped conceal a problem area I have. She gave me two different samples of both the items she used on me and taught me how to use them at home. Erika made me feel comfortable, at ease and I really enjoyed my trip to MAC because of her today. Having a knowledgeable and helpful makeup artist really makes me want to return and continue to shop here because not everyone is as friendly at other stores. read more

I am going to write 2 reviews for both MACs at the del amo mall. for the one inside the macys dept (on the 2nd floor by the shoe dept): -POOR customer service..they only had 3 employees working...all working on other people/doing their make-up...only ONE noticed me and another customer...she told me to wait and she would help....i waited 15 mins politely and i just left. im sure they saw me leave too because i would think if i just wanted to buy some primer...you would ring me up...no she didnt...neither did the other two. i hate using this excuse but i work at the del amo mall as well + deal with customers/provide customer service...and its like seriously...something like that couldve been quick and finished. SO i walked over to the MAC store by American Eagle and across from beachworks: -much better customer service -gave me some great tips -apologized for the other mac's poor customer service in macys -provided a speedy transaction. i usually do go to the MAC by amerian eagle but i went into macys locations first just because i had to buy sthing at the chanel counter. so if anything the MAC by A.E. is much better...also at SO. I walked in her on a whim after perusing other nearby stores and counters. I was super impressed by the knowledge, skill, and passion of the staff here. They were attentive and fun but not at all overwhelming. Ronald helped me pick out some eyeshadows to start a pro eyeshadow palette.
