We came here for a large event. I wasn't drinking so I got an iced tea. And eventually I ordered food. They have a large upstairs and a patio that was nice for the most part. Service was a bit chaotic. We ordered our drinks and food at the station upstairs. And then when the food and drinks were ready, the person with the food was often not the person taking the order and had a hard time finding where the recipient was. Not sure if there was supposed to be a different delivery system. I paid $3 for a rather small, plain iced tea. And because I wanted more tea with my salad, I ended up paying another $3. Mediocre food, mediocre service. Have visited here several times before and it was always decent pub food, so we decided to go again. Food was okay, but unfortunately half of our drink orders were wrong. No big deal, and we knew they were short staffed so we didn't say anything. However, when someone in our party ordered a Moscow mule and was given some sort of ginger beer drink in a margarita glass with a salt rim on it - we had to politely let our server know that was not what she ordered. Our server was quite rude and unkind about it, even after we said we would still drink it, just please could you bring us a Moscow mule because the drink she brought us was clearly wrong (had a SALT rim on it!). She told us "just so you know, this is a Moscow mule." I will say that after being in the service industry for 6 years - if a customer is politely telling you that you messed their drink order up (which our server did), reciprocate the kind energy instead of acting unprofessionally. We visited Bath Brewing a few weeks back and it was a great experience. Our server, I believe her name was Brighid, was a rockstar. She was covering the whole main floor and the bar and was moving the entire time we were there. At the same time she was attentive and friendly. Most of our table got beer flights and really enjoyed all the beers. The favorites were the Traverse, the Bath Pale ale and the Special, Momotaro, blended farmhouse ale w/ peaches. YUM! We ordered the House Made Beer Bread which came with soda bread. The Beer cheese was one of the best beer cheese I've ever had and I'm a beer cheese fan! Even after we were out of bread we were dipping other things in the last bits of beer cheeses, french fries, putting some on the sliders etc. . . 10 out of 10. As I mentioned we got a bunch of other items, all which were very yummy and recommended; fish tacos, sundry sliders, fish and chips (with a huge piece of fish), wings and the cajun fried cauliflower. Wonderful spot in Bath! Staff is so friendly and accommodated all my food asks. There was live music on the second floor that we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was delicious and beer was enjoyable. The buffalo fries were such a treat and I enjoyed my banh mi burger! Not a ton of banh mi flavor but it was still good. Stopped in yesterday after a short hike. It was a beautiful day so I chose to sit at a window facing the street. Not a good idea on a really sunny afternoon. It was hot even when I turned toward the bar and out of the direct sun. I'll pick a different seat next time. (100% on me, obviously) Nice local beer selections but I picked a Pinot instead. HUGE disappointment. I called in an order and wasn't even sure that I was calling the restaurant because when the phone was answered, it was answered with Simply a gruff "hello ". I had to ask the person answering the phone if I was calling the restaurant. After I placed my order, I asked how long before it would be done and the person told me "soon ". I had to ask her to actually define what soon means. Not acceptable. I'm staying at the hotel across the street and arrived at the door to the restaurant at the exact moment they had told me the food would be ready. It was sitting on the counter. GREAT! But, no ...It took over 10 minutes before somebody came and helped the girl, learn how to use the cash register So that she could cash me out. I walked back to my hotel with the food. When I opened it, it looked like it had been dropped on the floor and jumbled around the container. The corn bread was burned and the cheese on the poutine had cooled to the point of solid cheese. AND they gave me no utensils. So now I have cold food and no way to eat it. I will not recommend this place to anybody unless they want cold food that isn't necessarily the tastiest. Took great care of their customer. Food - Can not describe how bad the brisket plate was. Brisket needs to be cooked slowly and cut across the grain to be tender. This is just a slab of brisket that was difficult to cut even with a metal knife. once it was cut you can not chew through it. Colleen, our server made a few suggestions for beer & when we couldn't decide - literally ran downstairs to get us small samples to try to help us. We shared the never seen before stuffed onion rings - really nice heat kick from the jalapeño cream cheese and the mango habanero sauce. The shredded pork sliders were also tasty- liked the addition of some diced pickles for crunch. It was my first try here on Friday night in December when the whole town seemed to be walking around after work engaged in local Christmas events. Inside, the brewery decor was fresh, clean and modern- in a very old brick building along the pedestrian friendly main street. High ceiling and big street side windows give it an open feel. To their great credit, the beer selection was not exclusively IPA s and sours. I especially liked the What the ..Helles, a light German style beer that hit the style right on. Flavorful and interesting. The pale ale was also great. I ordered fish and chips except with salad instead of fries, which they accommodated happily. Beer batter style fried fish, which is not my favorite, was still tasty. The starter sauce had dill - not so traditional! Salad was fresh and the greens were great, but in classic NE style you get lettuce cucumbers shredded carrots and truly flavorless tomatos:-) - if I had one suggestion it would be to invest in some decent tomatos, and the second to tone down the super sweet vinaigrette. The Cole slaw tho was excellent. And the burger that went by will be my next order. One TV at the end of the bar had the world cup on with the sound off, and didn't overwhelm the vibe. Lots of locals at the bar after work, a long high table in the middle and another across the windows, a few booths, and upstairs tables. All on all, great beer and well executed pub fare. I don't have a lot to say except that I enjoyed my meal here very much. I came here with my husband and 3 friends and they were all satisfied with their meals as well. One friend got the fish and chips and the fish was HUGE! I don't drink beer so I can't comment on that. Honestly, the thing that stood out for me was our waitress, Marie. She was fantastic! I didn't have any interaction with her as I didn't try any of the beer but I was so impressed how she brought the rest of our party samples and knew exactly what was what. She was knowledgeable about all the beer and could recommend items based on what you liked. I thought my husband was annoying as he had already been drinking before we got there but she was very tolerant of him. One friend actually stole one of the little glasses and when Marie came back to take the glasses, I could tell she knew one was missing. I almost wished she would have said something because it made me mad that this friend did that. I did voice my feeling to this friend but it had no effect on her. My "medium" burger was burned and had cheese on it, even though I had asked for no cheese. About 10 minutes later, I swear I got the same burger with the cheese mostly scraped off and even more burned; yet it was cold. (look at the photo) I could not believe the poor treatment. In desperation, I asked a different server for help, and she took my burned burger away. I finally got a different non-burned burger, but it was clearly well-done. From the outside, Bath Brewing Company looked like a perfect fit for this quaint town. We visited it purely from its street appeal. We were seated at a bar facing the street - perfect for people watching. Although service started a bit slow, so far so good. That's pretty much where the appeal ended. We chose to share the fish and chips. We've learned that restaurant meals are usually so large that sharing is the way to go. This was one meal that really wasn't big enough to have been shared. It was served with two smallish pieces of fried haddock, some nondescript fries and a small bowl of bland slaw. We didn't see our server again until she handed us the bill. This was going to be a three star review but then the check came. The plastic holder was covered in dirty, greasy fingerprints. Inside, there was food stuck to our check. It was so dirty, disgusting, really, that I really wasn't happy even having to handle it. We paid the bill and were just glad to be on to the rest of our day in Bath. read more

I think the menu now is better than it was last year--more aligned to pub food rather than fine dining entrees. We went for dinner tonight. The fries were great, my friend liked her fish, the kids chicken tenders were delicious. But the burger disappointed--not much flavor and the bun choice was weird. The beer is decent and the atmosphere is cool. They also have a nice selection of beers on tap from other breweries too. I loved the IPA I had, which was called the Thirsty Botanist. The food is edible, but otherwise pretty bland and unmemorable. It doesn't taste a lot of thought or care was put in to the flavors. Ambiance is nice, clean, and spacious, and we've had good customer service there. I hope the food improves, we are willing to give it another try based on the beer and the nice river views from the back deck, which is an enjoyable place to be on a pleasant, summer evening! read more

I came here by myself at the recommendation of my Airbnb host. I planned to sit by myself at the bar while eating, drinking, and reading my book but everyone was so friendly I spent two hours talking with the bartender and two guys I sat next two. Which isn't to say other places wouldn't be friendly as well, but I find both breweries and small towns to have a charm and friendliness that make it easy to have dinner or just a drink by myself without feeling awkward or intimidated. I had a flight of their own brews which were delicious. Four 4oz pours for $12 but the bartender was so nice she gave me the 5th home brew for free since it was my first time here. Their Bath Pale Ale was my favorite. Very crisp and clean but their darker beers were delicious as well. They have something for everyone. They also had a few "guest" breweries represented as well. For food, I started with their shrimp skewers which I have to say, I was a bit disappointed with as they were just so small. I'd much prefer to have one skewer with jumbo shrimp than two skewers of the tiniest shrimp. The cocktail sauce was ok, but not as tasty as I like. Because the skewers just didn't cut it for my appetite, I also had two pulled pork sliders. You can beat $2 each! They were very tasty! All in all, this was a great brewery to visit, have a bite to eat and converse with the locals. The place is incredibly spacious as they have an upstairs dining are as well as the downstairs bar with tables as well. I highly recommend if you're in the area! read more

My wife and I stopped at Bath Brewing for a meal as we've enjoyed the location before. However there must've been a management change. We had to seat ourselves and order from the bar area which was very loud. We had to take a number sign to our table to show where the food should be delivered. The young server who could have been taking orders looked very bored. The bar was extra loud with a couple of guys into their cups so to speak. Went to pay my tab at the bar with the few patrons there and it took awhile for the barmaid to disengage from conversation with them. Food was average with no service. Big time MEH! read more

My family and I had dinner here last night and they've recently implemented a new "service model" and it was honestly terrible. we had to wait in line to order at the bar then walk our drinks up with us to the table then we waited an extended period of time for our food, the appetizer came out with the entree and other than 1 poor server upstairs who was basically just bussing tables we had to keep going downstairs for anything we needed. then after all that we had to wait in line again to pay before we left at the bar again. I don't know why they've made these changes but we left frustrated and won't be returning, it's disappointing as a local but it feels they're alienating families w/younger kids and any people with mobile challenges. on top of all that my burger was the wrong temperature. please do better by your customers Bath brewing this gimmick is terrible! read more
