When I showed up to my appointment, I checked in and filled out some basic, new client information. I was then taken to my room with my waxer promptly after. They use hard wax here which many people prefer, but for me hurts the most. But I don't really care what is used as long as they're hygienic, quick, effective and will not spawn in-grown hairs. My waxer was quick, thorough and one week out...things are still looking good! As a bonus, first time clients got a significant discount which made me even happier about my experience. It was during this visit that I REALLY learned why it is important to stick to what you know.    I got three services: a chocolate bikini wax, eyebrow threading and upper lip wax. The only one that went right was the upper lip wax.    Eyebrow threading - I woke up with little scabs underneath one of the brows. This has never happened to me before. I don't have a lot of eyebrow, let's get that clear, but I do know they could have been shaped better. Other places I've been too may take an extra minute or two to make sure the shape is perfect. This was super quick and you can tell.    Bikini Wax - I get this type of wax all the time, I've got a wax lady and god do I regret cheating on her. The lady literally left me bleeding. I have NEVER bled before. And she had the audacity to tell me that my skin is sensitive and that this is normal. Maybe it is, but I have definitely never bled before. Like... what the hell?! The wax wasn't even super clean so I had to go back in a day or two later to fix it up a little.    Safe to say I will not be going back and I genuinely couldn't even try to pretend to recommend it. There are other places with similar prices that I'm sure will do a better job.

I always do them myself because everyone thins them out too much, but she assured me she'd just lightly clean them up a little. She did a bit more than I would have preferred but not a huge deal. I go to check out and I'm told the total will be $30! Lip threading is $7 so I question it and she tells me that I'm being charged the eyebrow fee of $22. I question this again as not much was done and was told there isn't a reduced fee for a clean up. She won't budge so I show her their website quotes $25, but refused to honor it. Something to keep in mind if you go. I'll only be doing my lip from now on with my preferred person.

I declined and asked how much longer the wait would be. She told me it would be another 10-12 minutes. What made the situation even more frustrating was being told that my waxer had just come out and taken another client at 10:30. If my appointment was scheduled for that time and I had already checked in, I don't understand why another client was seen first. I value punctuality and respect for my time, and I found this experience to be unprofessional and disappointing.

In addition, ended up with a parking ticket from this visit, so be careful if you're parking on the streets when coming here. The actual waxing was quick and painless. My esthetician was great. I think I overheard that they double booked, but hope they ensure mistakes like that don't happen where I would need to wait half an hour for my appointment.
