I wish I had a better experience, but this was honestly one of the worst spray tans I've ever received. Instead of a natural bronze glow, my tan developed into a horrible green tint and looked disgusting. I was embarrassed to even leave my hotel room. It was so bad that I ended up having the Four Seasons Spa scrub it off during my massage because of how bad it looked. I have never had to remove a spray tan immediately after getting one. I have had plenty of spray tans over the years, so I understand they can vary, but this was on a whole other level. I genuinely never felt or looked worse after a beauty appointment. Hands down the best tan I've ever gotten and I've been doing spray tans for 20 years. The salon is nice and cool so you don't come out sweating you don't go in sweating and the technician is extremely agile and efficient at what she does. She knows what she's doing. Instructions are clear and the solution clearly works really well because I just showered after seven hours and it's perfect, but you can shower sooner, which is even better in some cases. Britteny was great!! I've done Brazilian waxing before, but never sugaring. It definitely feels different than waxing, the each pull hurts less but there's more of them than the woman who normally waxes me uses. So pain levels I'd say are about the same but I did feel less sensitive/sore after. Went in for my spray tan today ‍ it's tanned pretty good except on the inside of my calves you can tell where the tan ends . The girl that did my tan was very informative and nice except it felt like she was feeling a type of way when l was trying to tell her where l needed the tan the most . Clean, great quality, speedy, I'm never kept waiting, can count on genial conversation while I get it over with, all major plus-es for me. Recently reinstated my S&B membership with summer on the horizon, couldn't be more happy with the results. I used to go to a regular waxer and always dealt with ingrown hairs, irritation, you name it. I thought it was because I had sensitive skin, but after visiting Sugared and Bronzed it's clear I was going to the wrong place beforehand. They wanted 18% tip which was fine, but I later discovered it was over 22% of the original price. This is fine to tip off the original price, however I really felt manipulated and pressured. S+B is a total rip off! I have been a member for a few years & was very happy with the membership until the policy change recently. I have been trying to absorb my credits accumulated in order to close my account since e I am going through a financial hardship. Before the new policy, I was able to freeze my account to avoid being charged the membership fee, & then unfreeze it to pay for service then refreeze it again. However, I did this yesterday & unfortunately received an error message that I now have to keep the account active for a month after unfreezing AND was charged $51.21 for the membership fee! What a SCAM & I am LIVID! I have now totally cancelled out of the membership & have a credit for $98 in which the service I get has increased from $49 to $69 so I will lose even more money. Went here yesterday for a tan. Pricing is really reasonable and first-timers get a second free. The experience was totally seamless; I had a 3 o'clock appointment and didn't have to wait at all to be tanned. Check-in was smooth and all I needed to do was sign a waiver on an iPad. The girl who tanned me was super nice and really professional. I had only done booths before for spray tans and so the experience can be a little awkward having someone do it manually - would definitely issue a warning to anyone that isn't extremely comfortable being stark naked in front of a stranger. They have thongs, flip flops, shower caps, and hair ties available for purchase. I opted for the express tan because I wanted to shower the same night. I was told that I should let it develop between 1-4 hours and the longer I let it go, the darker I would be. I wanted to be pretty dark so waited the full time. It looked pretty splotchy and weird before I showered so I was a little worried that's how it would look, but all of the extra color washed off. The end result is even and natural. My only complaint is that it's not as dark as I wanted it to be; in fact, I don't even really look "tan", just a little less of the winter pale that I was beforehand. The express was $60 plus tax, but again, you get a second one free that never expires. Ultimately I think the pricing is great for NYC, compared to most other establishments that do airbrush tanning for $80+. read more

Never in my 27 years of life had I considered a spray tan, mostly because of the Jersey Shore affiliation. But after committing to a crash diet to make myself look skinty before a trip to Puerto Rico, I booked an appointment at S+B to maximize the skinti-ness. From beginning to end, it was a great experience. I booked an appointment and got the 2-for-1 for $59. I went with the second level tan, which is the equivalent of a weekend on the beach. As a spray tan virgin, a couple things to keep in mind: - seems obvious, but bring the bathing suit/underwear you want to have as your tan line. It'll leave temporary stains that come out in the wash. - you can purchase flip flops, underwear, etc. if you forget. - you will look MUCH darker than your desired color right after you get your tan. Like Jersey dark. - you should shower a couple hours after, and the dark color will stream off you. - you will still come out of the shower looking beautiful and naturally bronze. - expect to leave a 15-20% tip for the person who does your spray tan The young lady who did my spray, Jade, was super friendly and left a great impression. I'll definitely be back for my second session before an upcoming wedding. read more

This was my first time getting sugared at this location. I usually go to Sugaring NYC, however after my experience today I will definitely be a regular here! The rooms are super clean and even though they are small, they are cutely decorated. I was seen 10 minutes before my scheduled time. I was happy that I was early and that they were able to get me in right away. The woman who did my sugaring was super sweet, easy to talk to, and great with informing me about the process. They also put tea tree oil on the area sugared after the treatment which was soothing and a nice addition. I really loved my experience here and will definitely be back. **Update*** By far the best customer service I have ever had. I was contacted by the owner almost immediately to apologize and rectify my issue. This establishment seems to be a thriving business so for the owner herself to reach out shows they really do care about customer satisfaction. I made a second appointment, this time I tried the standard tan #3. Thee technician that took care of me this so sweet all the women there are. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. The bronzer got really dark as the day progresses but once I washed it off after the 10 hours my perfectly applied tan appeared.Im very happy with the outcome and will be going back really wanted to love this place after all the amazing reviews. They are great in regards to scheduling I even had to reschedule at last minute and the staff was very accommodating. I arrived and was taken in for my express tan within 10 minutes. I don't remember the employee who did my spray tan but she was a sweetheart very professional and personable. I showered three hours after my tan as instructed. This morning I noticed once the color had set in there are many spots on my hands and legs are hat look discolored. I'm very pale naturally so the discoloration make the entire tan look unnatural. I've been here twice and love my experience here both times! I've had the same sugarista and I believe her name is Amanda. I forgot, sorry! But she was great and friendly. Getting a wax in general hurts and it did not get any better for me ever since (maybe because I drink caffeine and always PMSing during those times) but totally worth it! It helps when the person waxing me would make small talk to keep my mind off things. Just remember to breathe. The rooms are clean and they definitely do not double dip! They give you privacy to strip off clothes and they provide a towel to cover the lady parts. The process is fast & efficient.. just breathe! I like their ingredients as well because they are natural (sugar, lemon, and water). The services I get here is a brazillian and my underarms. Totally worth it! The pain and all. I wait for a month to get a brazillian and maybe 2.5 -3 weeks for my underarms. The staff here is nice and the location is clean. Will definitely come back! read more
