I decided to pop in for the first time last summer, and was pleasantly surprised at how large it is once inside (looks fairly small from the outside). I stop in about once every two to three weeks to pick up the latest craft brew to hit the shelves, but have noticed that they have a very nice selection of liquor and wine. What earns this store an above-average rating are the people and service I've received. One of the gentlemen noticed that I was becoming somewhat regular after a couple months, and introduced himself as the resident Craft Beer Specialist. Ever since then, he pro-actively keeps me in the know when hot releases hit the store on the day of arrival. Another time, I was helped out by multiple people in the store while I was looking for a rare bourbon, including the co-owner, who provided me her personal business card and offered to help me obtain what I was looking for, even though the store did not currently carry it. The store is clean, bright and well-stocked, and pretty easy to navigate. It falls between "small mom-and-pop" size and "liquor-mega-store". Only thing keeping it from a full-pull five stars is the fact that the selection is slightly limited, likely due to size and traffic (or lack thereof) being a bit off the beaten path and, again, not a mega-store. There are a couple of doors on another cooler area that have defective lighting and it has also been this way for at least a year. Displays on countertops are perpetually unpriced. If you want a price on them, you have to take it to the front for them to price it. I have complained about this for over a year, In terms of floor displays,there has been some improvement in product pricing. On my last trip, A worn, curled sign gave a price on small bottles of mixed drinks in a bin and at the register they charged me a higher price. The cashiers said they could not be responsible for the change in pricing. Flooring is dirty and deteriorating in some areas. It should have been replaced many years ago. This used to be a very hip and fun place that felt like it was run by your friends who partied, too. Now at least one of the cashiers does not even drink . From what I can tell there has been little maintenance and no upgrades since a change in ownership and store cleanliness seems to be an after thought. They do have a very good selection of whiskey. Cold beer, a clean store and merchandise that is priced seems like the most basic minimum for operating a retail liquor store. It feels like the ownership is uninvolved and just coasting on whatever momentum the previous ownership developped. I am no longer going to shop there. I have included picures of some no price displays, the floors, an open storeroom that is always visible as you enter, the defective cooler lighting and the big display of warm beer that is in a broken cooler.

Over the past few months though, it seems like everything has changed. Summer *just* ended, so of course the darker beer selection slimmed down, but finding a decent affordable beer is hard here. Anything that looks like it would be good is $20-40 for a 4 pack (no exaggeration). I'd rather give my money directly to the brewery and drink at their bar for those prices. The older staff all of a sudden questions me on the validity of my age and ID, despite how often I come in (I'm 32, have smokers lines, and covered in tattoos - obviously I look over 21). They aren't nearly as friendly anymore. They have one beer that's $8/each for a standard sized can, but for some reason it's more expensive to buy a 4-pack at $40. I brought this up to a woman behind the counter, but she didn't react to it at all and didn't seem to care. I don't know what happened because I really liked this place, but I've had enough weird experiences lately that I'm going to start going elsewhere.
