This is the fourth time I have been to Batteries Plus on Moreland. The first three times was to get another fob before my last one malfunctioned and it took them over three months to finally fill my order and get me another Fob. They took the price down a little but it didn't replace the time and energy it took for me to keep badgering them to complete this task. Today's annoyance was when I went to pick up a spark plug that was supposed to be left on the front desk for me. Mind you, I called to c if they had it and the sales person said they had one in stock. When I got there 2 hours later to purchase to spark plug, the person on duty admitted that he was the one I spoke to and that's when he said that Batteries Plus doesn't sell spark plugs. You can imagine how angry I was because I had promised myself that I would never patronize this establishment again. I'll give a 4 since this is the ONLy Batteries Plus I go to. Parking is ok. Kind of weird. All I can say is that I come here so rarely (like once every 2 years) that no one is ever here when I arrive. But the parking lot is not very good for spacing haha. When my car fob, ecobee4 follower, or watch batteries die, I come here. It takes me 10 seconds to get what I need. The guys here are nice and usually know what I need. Price wise, normal? I'm sure it's cheaper on Amazon but I usually need my batteries quick and don't mind paying a little extra for convenience. read more

I have been to this Batteries Plus store twice for the plus, not the batteries, and each visit has been met with some great customer service. Both times I visited was for vehicle light bulbs and they were great at helping me locate the correct bulbs for my car. The prices were just a tad higher than other chains, but the customer service and location to my house made up for that. On my last visit I had just left the Toyota dealership that was changing my oil and they wanted over $50 to replace 3 bulbs that had burned out. After telling them where they could go I made a beeline to Batteries Plus where I found the bulbs I needed and walked out paying only $14. Sure I had to go through the painful task of changing my own bulbs. Ha! I'll be a loyal customer of Batteries Plus location for as long as they have such great customer service. read more

For the fourth time in six years, my car battery was dead. It seemed excessive, and considering the previous three batteries all came from Advanced Auto Parts (who were pushy and not good at the whole customer service bit), I was ready to call foul play. Enter Batteries Plus, who was closer and had my battery in stock plus a coupon for $10 off. They were going to charge $20 to install the battery, so my fiance and I packed up our tools so we could do the work ourselves. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who quickly got us the battery. We'd even left our coupon printout at home but they allowed me to find it on my phone so we could still use it. My fiance asked for a couple tips and the mechanic (I'm not sure what else to call him) was incredibly helpful and said to ask him questions before getting electrocuted. He came out to check on us a couple times and right at the end he came out and finished up the job for us free of charge. We'd missed the awkward lip attachment that a select few older Hyundais have because AAP sells an oversized battery that doesn't need the lip. Turns out my alternator was fine and the culprit was probably an oversized battery that also jostled a couple other things in the car because it was too big to be secured. Needless to say, I know where to go if something happens again. These guys did an impressive job, went above and beyond to be helpful, and sold the RIGHT battery for my car, size and all. First review for the "New Year" is on a positive note. I have come here a few times needing batteries for two different watches($14.00 each), a car alarm($10.00) and for a remote to an apartment I used to live down the street "so why did it take so long to write about it," I thought I had. A couple of days ago a neighbor let me know (while giving me a jump) that Batteries Plus also will check your car battery which was great as there seemed to be a problem starting the car. So tonight stopped by and sure enough it was the battery which was still under warranty at Pep Boys. I called this location to make sure they had my car battery in stock and I also asked if they charged for installation- the employee (woman) I talked with said there was no charge. One hour later I arrive and they say it'll be an extra $30 for installation! They insist I never asked, which I did- because being fairly handy, I would have brought my tools to switch out the batteries myself at the store (plus once I got back home, my wife said she heard me ask them on the phone before I left!) . So being frugal, I attempted to remove my old battery myself (I always keep a few tools in my VW) which was I wasn't able to do because of extreme oxidation on the battery terminals. Annoyed after working on it for 20 minutes on my own, right next to their front door, I had to go back inside the store and say I wanted them to install it in order for the other employee (man) to come out and help. He came out and together we worked on it for another 20 minutes before we were able to remove my old battery, the new battery attached in a few seconds. In the end, the employee who helped me install the battery didn't charge me the $30 for installation which I absolutely appreciate ( I assume he was a manager). Had he still charged me the fee, this would be a 1 star review, but he helped make it right, monetarily at least. I'm still only giving this store 2 stars though as the experience sucked and both employees were not friendly and never cracked a smile. I'll be heading to the Decatur location next time. read more

Worst customer experience ever... Today is October 25, 2019. I have purchased 5 or more batteries for my automobiles from this location over the past years so clearly we are a loyal customer. We live in the Heart of Buckhead and pass by several auto repair / battery dealers to trade with this location... that is until now! We purchased a new battery 2 years ago for our 2010 VW Routan Van that is our only transportation for our daughter in a Wheelchair. A few months ago, we started have slow start-ups with the battery and on a Saturday morning after my disabled daughter participated in a Wheelchair Assist Road Race in Downtown Sandy Springs, our Van would not start at all and had to be jumped off. I drove directly to this Batteries Plus location and described the problem. They opened the hood and the Positive Post was very corroded. They cleaned the corrosion and tested the battery and said all is good. Accepting their professional guidance we drove off confident in their service Today, 2 months later, my wife calls and tells me the Car won't start and there is no power to anything in the car. I leave work to rescue my wife and daughter and confirm there is now power in the car at all. As I raise the hood, there is lots of corrosion around the Positive Post like before. I use my car to jumpstart her Van and after a few minutes of charging, the Van starts and all power is restored to the car... which means the Van's charging system is working fine. My wife goes to the Batteries Plus location and explains to the clerk all that you have read and states that since the Van is the sole transportation for our disabled daughter, we can't have a battery issue like this. The clerk calls the owner of the store and he has her test the battery and it tested 89%. She noted the corrosion to the owner and he said that since the battery tested at 89% at that time and regardless of the chronic corrosion issue he was not willing to do anything to work with us. My wife asked the clerk and the owner to replace the battery and prorate for the months we have used the battery to date. She was not asking for a free replacement battery, just one that is new and not corroding and placing my wife and daughter is a possible situation of being stranded in a 350lb power wheelchair. The owner refused to do anything. So our message to everyone in Buckhead and Sandy Springs... Choose wisely... we will never to do business with Batteries Plus every again! read more

Don't buy a car battery from these people. I bought one two years and one week ago that had a two year warranty. I called and asked about replacing it and was told that it was "out of warranty" and that it did not matter for how long, as the replacement warranty could not be overridden. read more

Went to BPP 3 weeks ago. Liked the idea of supporting a small chain. Very helpful. I bought lots of batteries for smoke detectors and my alarm system before leaving town. Back in town now and just drove to BPB to return a few of the batteries. (Bought way to many!). Also needed to buy replacement bulbs for a chandelier. At the store, I was told there was a 14-day return policy, which I'd exceeded by 6 days, so the batteries were mine. (No return-policy notice shown on the receipt, btw.). in the last week-Edit I would give zero stars but I'm required to give 1. Here goes....I was in their store today to have the battery replaced on my iPhone6. I went through the inspection process and left the phone for them to replace the battery. Upon returning and inspecting the phone there was a dead spot on the screen. It was instantly noticeable and when I pointed it out the customer service person denied responsibility - saying they don't touch the screen on a battery repair. I spoke to the manager who in turn called the owner and they would not do anything about it. I still had to pay the full cost of the repair even though they damaged the screen. What he failed to tell me was the that they would be no guarantee that my water resistant watch would be water resistant. Had the rep told me that, I would have gone to a jeweler to have battery replaced. I find that to be deceptive. They won't get my business anymore. Then when he went to replace it, told me not only that I likely didn't NEED a new battery, but also, that my battery was under warranty with them. I just discovered Batteries Plus online through a google search and originally thought it was car batteries only--but they have all types of batteries and according to Brent, can either make one to fit your needs or special order ANY battery. On this day I took in a computer APC backup unit for replacement battery. Brent checked the power of the existing battery and said it seemed fine and did not need replacing. He could have sold me a new battery anyway but said they were here to serve the customer and glad to help. WOW! Loved the service. Patrick who originally answered the phone was polite and friendly on two separate calls. The only comment on improvement: More of a greeting when you walk in. Something like "Welcome to Batteries Plus!" not just "do you need some help"...but overall, great experience! read more

The other 2 employees were in the back and one came out only after another customer went back there and asked for help. My car battery died and I was in need of a replacement. Mike at Batteries Plus not only sold me an appropriate battery for my car he provided additional service. First, he gave me tips on how to remove corrosion from my connectors (baking soda in water worked better than my sandpaper). Later, when I returned to the shop, he tested my old battery to make certain it was truly dead and he tested my new battery and connections. If the problem had not been my old battery, or if the new battery wasn't functioning properly, he would have refunded my purchase. Finally, his customer service was outstanding. My battery was in bad shape, corrosion everywhere. In fact, it wouldn't even come out. I bought a battery from Batteries Plus and for $20 they do install. Sam worked his tail off (in the rain!) to get my old battery off. When he couldn't on the first try, he sprayed some stuff and said he was not giving up. Sure enough, after a bit, he was able to switch out my battery. This place is convenient (large stock of car batteries) and reasonably priced. The service was above and beyond. read more

Oh, what an awful experience! It was 6pm and on my way home I wanted to quickly get a new battery for my keyfob. Victor took my key and 15min later came back with it installed. I was asking the other guy what was taking so long and he couldn't tell me. When Victor handed it back to me, I noticed that it was not closed back completely. On questioning this, Victor said that that's the way that it was. I said, no it wasn't. He said, 'yes it was', I said, 'no' again and he again said, 'Yes it was'. You can't believe this, but it went back and forth this way 4 times! I said that I didn't appreciate his attitude and lack of customer service and asked for the manager. No 'manager' was there, so I asked for the manager's card, which he handed me. In trying to figure out a solution for my key, which I expected might pop open when tossing them onto a counter, I became frustrated at the lack of concern that I was being given, which is when the 'other' guy finally came over. He said, well, I can refund your money, but that's all I can do. Upon further pressing on how to make the key 'fit' back together properly, Victor then states, 'well, it's an older keyfob and therefore it wears out and just won't go back together properly. It probably needs a new o-ring.' So now, it's not how I brought it in, but the fault of the age of the keyfob? I went ahead with the refund from the 'other' guy who I then proceed to find out is the 'Owner'. You are the Owner, I said? He timidly said, yes, to which I stated, then why did Victor tell me that no 'manager' is here and you didn't come over earlier? Well, that's what we tell him to say. WHAT? The owner then says, we want the manager to handle all of the problems, not me. I was so dumbstruck, frustrated, and tired, that after 45min (to get a simple keyfob battery), I left and will never return. So if you don't mind bad customer service, inept workers, and an owner that doesn't take responsibility, go there. Otherwise, go anywhere else. read more
