My samsung galaxy battery "expanded" in november. Ive had the new battery since then....& afraid to attempt the replacement. Early Wednesday morning the battery gave up....ugh. i went to the store & asked if Tou could replace it? They said they could, give them two hours. About 90 minutes later i returned. The battery was replaced! After over nine months im still getting used to handling a slim phone....without scotch tape around the corners! The expanded battery had popped the back cover off. Update - I took the phone to Bestbuy and was told that Batteries Plus ruined my phone. I don't fault the untrained staff as much as the ownership of the store, who apparently doesn't educate staff on the job at hand. Your staff needs better training and your store needs better leadership. (I see Frank suggests taking my phone back to the location that ruined it. Laughable suggestion!) I'm awaiting a refund and will file a visa dispute if the promise to reimburse me, isn't honored promptly. read more

Only 1 out 5 things went right. The person who took my order was friendly; that is good. But he was the first in a string of mistakes. He took my order but made the false promise that the bulb would be in within 10 days. I called back after two weeks only to be told that the order should actually take three weeks but "I will look into it and try to get it sooner... I will call you back." No call back, I wait another week (now four weeks after the order) and call back only to be told that they will have to talk to a manager and call back. Again, no call back so I make another call and am told again that someone will call back. Here is the last straw: someone finally called back with the bad news that they can't get the bulb to me within three months. These folks are unorganized, some of them are incompetent and others are filled with excuses. read more

i took my phone to replace screen and battery. Once received the home button was elevated above the surface of the screen changing its sensitivity With a complete white screen there was a spot even brighter as if there was pressure from behind the screen, plus the touchscreen was intermittent with reduced responsiveness. I took the phone back for re-repair and was told they replaced the (new) battery because it was swelling. I was told there was nothing they could do about the elevated home button as the technician had over tightened some screws. The phone works, but the positional sensitivity is off as buttons can be activated from the black area below the screen. I was told there was nothing they could do to fix the home button and that the phone works end of story. I would not recommend this service. read more

Not a very helpful bunch. Stopped in on a Sunday at 5:30 and found 2 employees waiting behind the counter. No greeting. Instead a look that said "oh come on, we close in 30 minutes, do you have to bother us?". So I walked to the counter and told them what I needed. They both said they had never heard of the battery. I showed them the page on their website that indicated they had the batteries in stock. "hmmm...that must be wrong". So they looked on their computer and, sure enough, they had them in stock. And they were hanging on the wall rack directly behind them. Also needed some bulbs but they were both too busy trying to get their loud, obnoxious music playing on the store speakers. A No-Value Purchase, and Manager's Blame-Deflecting Response Less than three years ago, I bought two batteries for scooter and heeded employee's advice to preserve its life, which he said would be about 5 years. After using scooter only a handful of times, batteries inexplicably died - and technician at Handi Medical, where I sought repair, informed me that cables in battery pack were loosely installed (by Batteries Plus Bulbs), which likely shortened the life of the batteries. I informed BPB manager Summer of tech's finding and of my vigilant preservation effort - and requested a sizable credit on new batteries. She refused, citing a handful of self-protective explanations while prioritizing profit over a truly satisfied customer. Consumer Beware! read more

The manager of the white bear ave store was great. She tested my battery and determined that it was bad. She checked and it was under warranty. She took out the old one and put in the new one (no easy task in a GMC). She then tested my alternator and all was good. Truck started right up. No charge! Amazing. Great place to go! read more

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon (7/16/17), having made an appointment to have the battery on my phone replaced. Still had to wait in line for twenty minutes, without being acknowledged. There were three parties ahead of me in line. The first two left visibly frustrated and angry that their specific item was not in stock. Then I sat there for fifteen minutes while the only clerk struggled to find a car battery in the back that ended up being on the shelf. Finally, I presented my phone. He told me that "today would not be the best day, as we do not have our phone technician on duty today. I'm sure you have an appointment, but...." That was enough for me. I just laughed and left the store, extremely frustrated that I was able to make an "appointment" with nobody. Determined, I headed over to the Roseville location. No appointment, and they had my phone done in twenty minutes. Customers also seemed to be leaving satisfied here. My advice? Ignore the Maplewood store and check out Roseville or Woodbury. Worst experience went to buy a battery after calling and making sure they had one on hand that would fit, get there am given the battery pay for it with cash get it home and find out it doesn't fit. Go back to store they do not have one that will fit, so I ask for a refund so I can find one at another store. They tell me that since the purchase was for more than fifty dollars they would have to send me a check for the money! Could not explain the reasoning for this "policy". Said they could order a battery that would get there in about five days, your they could have one sent from another store in about three days, or I could drive to another store to pick one up! No where is there any signage that I saw saying that there is no refunds on purchases of more than fifty dollars. Totally unacceptable! Especially when we are talking about a cash transaction, in a timespan of less than an hour and a half.When I asked where this policy/directive comes from they said they don't know. When I asked about contacting someone in higher authority I was told they are independently owned franchises, so the corporate doesn't mean anything. I am sitting in their parking lot right now writing this. That is how frustrated I am. I called two hours prior to coming in so they could have a Subaru Outback low beam ready to go when I arrived. Instead of if taking 5 minutes, it took over 30. The woman I spoke to never pulled out the lightbulb, which would have solved most of the issue. When I walked in I was next, but she started helping someone else that came in after me. You could tell the young man that helped me was new because he took forever finding the right bulb (or so I thought). It was almost $40.00, which I thought was a bit steep to begin with. He started talking to the lady about who lives on the east side and who lives on the west before following me outside. To make things worse it wasn't even the right bulb! We had to go back inside and search for another one. You would think the second time would be the correct one.. You guessed it, it didn't work. As I waited inside for him to put a couple pieces back under my hood the line was about 7 people deep. The "lady" was holding a cigarette and getting ready to go outside. The young guy comes in with a little plastic bolt he couldn't get back in. He hands it to me with my hood closed. He literally left a wobbly piece of plastic under my hood because of that bolt. I made him go back outside and put it in the right way. This has probably taken me another 10 minutes to write, but who cares they already wasted over a half hour. This WHOLE thing could have been solved if this woman would have just taken two minutes to look for the bulb before I came in. Just what I want to do when I get off work on Friday....
