The two staff members were polite and friendly. They replaced our iPhone batteries and even fixed something on my husband's phone were didn't know was wrong! The price was as fair as prices are these days. I will go back as I need a new key/fob combo for my hubby's truck. The only reason this is not 5 stars is I would have liked to have been warned that my phone would complain about the cheaper than an Apple brand one. Otherwise good job, guys! read more

Warning ! DO NOT purchase "Big Larry" flashlights made by NEBO from this store or anywhere else. They sell them with NEBO-brand batteries installed which leak and corrode internally which destroys this $30+ flashlight. Corroded batteries are IMPOSSIBLE to remove from the "Big Larry" and both the Batteries Plus store manager and the liars at NEBO refuse to honor the advertised lifetime warranty and replace or even discount a replacement flashlight. Lack of after-sale responsibility and horrlble customer service is good warning to stay away from the store and the manufacturer ! read more

I've been going here for years and they have yet to fail me. Not many people know that if you need something that basically doesn't exist they can build you a battery for whatever it is. This may not be correct in all cases but I've seen them do it. The good part is they don't mind a bit. I think they kind of enjoy their work. I've gone in there a thousand times with stuff that shouldn't exist anymore and they've had it. I do know of one battery I use that they no longer carry but it wasn't made for a while and I don't think they make it at all anymore. You've got to give these guys credit. This was my first time in a Batteries Plus. I have been around Springfield my entire life and this was also the first time I paid any attention to this location. I knew there are Batteries Plus locations in OK, but I didn't realize this is a franchise - which it is. I needed a watch battery - although I was there right before Christmas and busy, I was immediately assisted. The guy replaced my battery, set my watch and offered me a lifetime plan. Hmm..it was $9.99 for just the battery, but $19.99 if I bought the replacement plan. If I end up needing an additional battery, the replacement plan will be worth its cost already. Since this is my "dress" watch and RARELY worn, I decided it was worth the extra $10. The location was very clean, well organized and all of the associates were very friendly. First time in the S. Campbell location, but we visit the Kearney St. store regularly and always are treated well. So this evening my car fob was telling me it needed a new battery, and at the same time, my Android phone seemed to have gone into lockdown and/or just shot craps. So we go into the store (my husband and I are in our early 70s) and I immediately notice that one of the young men looks JUST like Ruzik on Chicago PD, so I announce that (much to my husband's chagrin). I then notice that the young man working on my phone closely resembles my nephew! We all chatted and had a good laugh over my observations. They were personable, efficient, and knowledgeable. I brought a key fob that had 1 battery a 2032 and was charged 14.04 for it the sales person Installed it without asking I guess I paid him approximately 10$ for 30 seconds labor to install it. On there website they are listed for 2 -2032 batteries for $9.99. I was in Kansas City 4 weeks ago and had batteries plus install batteries in my other car fob was charged $10 for installation. I've bought several batteries over the years From batteries plus and never been overcharge until today. 5/11/2022 your miss informed there was not any discussion of a price before battery was installed. I ask your clerk did I just pay you 10 dollars for installing a 2032 battery in my key fob he turns and walks away. read more

Its not too often you have someone give you good advice when it means they will miss a sale. That is what happened to me and I appreciate Batteries Plus because of it. I went in looking for a small battery for a digital thermometer and they only had a two pack. Well I could have bought the two pack and had the extra lay around for years till I would have forgotten about it. But, the good man working there told me that unless the thermometer was an expensive one, I would be better off buying a new thermometer instead of buying the battery. They do iPhone repair!!! I cracked my iPhone screen, did a Google search for local repairs. Batteries Plus popped up, I made an appointment online and got it fixed the same day. They even had curbside service to protect me and them. I've had it replaced once before somewhere else and the phone never did work very well, the tech said he would check it out for me while he had it apart. This one has worked perfectly and comes with a warranty. They fixed it when they said they would and it was done when they said it would be done. I highly recommend the team at this location, I felt they went above and beyond what is expected. read more

Contacted this store to replace the backside of my iPhone x. They had to order the part, after 10 days I hadn't heard anything. Called the store, the part came in "just now." Took the phone in immediately and was told it would be 1.5 hours to fix. I said I will be back in 2 hours if that works. Okay they said. Came back in tow hours and my phone hadn't been fixed. Given back my broken phone. Their reason..."we got busy and the girl that told you that clocked out and went home. If you want it fixed you will need to leave it overnight." What person in 2019 can go without a phone especially when it is a business phone and lifeline to all business needs. Who has a secondary phone for this reason? Luckily they refunded my advance payment in full. The team was apologetic and seemed sorry. The store was extremely busy so I somewhat understand their challenge. My question is why doesn't management better manage the staff resources, workload, or schedule appointments for repairs. Don't promise someone 1.5 hours and not fulfill the promise. The battery on my iPhone 5 was going on the fritz so I went to this battery plus and for 59.99 they replaced the battery, within two days of the replacement my phone was going wacko....called the store and they told me they wouldn't get any more batteries for my phone for 8 days... They would call me when they came in....without a phone..... Had to go to Kansas City and while there visited a battery plus that replaced the battery and phone has been working great....never got a call back from original battery plus...won't go there again. This franchisee replaced the battery in my Timex Expedition watch. The charge was $10.80. I paid using my American Express account. When I got home, I decided to update the time using my computer linked to the World Clock and discovered that none of the watch's buttons worked. Somehow, the franchisee broke my watch's connection with the buttons. I contacted the franchisee via eMail (I wanted everything in writing), but got no response. He utterly stonewalled me. I charged the transaction back and, in my discussion with the American Express Customer Service folks, learned that such charge-backs for incorrect battery installation were quite common for Batteries Plus Bulbs; however, insofar as the watch itself is concerned, there was no remedy to get the watch working properly short of taking this franchisee to small-claims court. In other words, if and when you're foolish enough to let this franchisee replace the battery in your watch, the BEST you can hope for if, as is likely, he screws it up, is to get your battery+installation charge back, but then have a damaged watch on your hands and, at Timex's prices to repair the watch, you're better off tossing it and buying a new one. I went to this location to get my phone screen replaced after falling on it at work, and it was in definite need of attention. After nearly 2 hours, they told me that the cable to my home button had broke in the process and they would be ordering a new button but I would lose the Touch ID on my iPhone 8+. I honestly use Touch ID for everything but having a home button was far better than using the assistive touch. Well they never called me about the home button because one of the techs royally screwed up entering my contact number on the initial day. I called the shop after it had been 5 days to see what the status of the button being delivered was, only to find out they can't replace them on the 8's and claimed they had been calling me everyday on the random number the tech had entered. They offered to reimburse me the $172 (that includes tax) or replace my phone, or give me cash that day for the value of it if I wanted to upgrade it. I looked at upgrading it, or even buying it outright from Verizon. I'd have to pay $30 just to buy it outright on top of $100+ in taxes. So I told them to replace my phone. It took a week to get it, and I noticed the screen already had some wear on it. It has scratches. Whether that be from employees touching it and playing with it before I finally picked it up a few after they called me letting me know it was in, or it being refurbished. I asked what seemed like the manager I was dealing with if it was refurbished and he simply said "no". Those scratches don't come on a NEW device. I'm rather irritated. The whole reason i replaced my screen and went through this 2 week ordeal and process was to not have scratches or cracks and here I am with a few scratches. I've already told all my friends the BS I've gone through with what seems like a simple replacement as they do several a day. I will no longer be going to them, and neither will they. I do appreciate them making it right and replacing my phone which gave it the 2 stars. But possibly lying to my face and it coming with scratches on it already is pretty aggravating. I'm a manager and having to use that touch assist thing was absolutely awful and my employees could only talk to me when I was on speaker phone or in my car. It was a VERY long two weeks. read more

They fixed my phone screen for the lowest quote in town and they did so in 30 minutes. Everyone I dealt with was super kind and efficient. However, I literally brought my otter box into the store and put it on as soon as they handed it to me. My screen was cracked from being out of the case for a day when I cleaned it. I have had the same otter box for all models of my iPhone (4,5s,6) and NEVER had an issue with the glass breaking while the screen is on. It has a raised edge so it's never dropped facedown. Since getting my phone and putting it in my usual otter box, I have dropped it a few times with regular use. In the few months that I've had this new screen it has cracked across, and in two spots it didn't crack across but it totally wrecked my screen. They told me they used a few different screens for replacement depending on touch but whatever one they put on my phone is pure garbage. I was really disappointed because I had posted on my Facebook about the great prices and service but now have a broken screen all over again, which I feel comfortable saying would not have happened with a quality replacement screen. Prices are great and staff was amazing, but I am disappointed I did not get a quality repair. read more

My dad took my phone in yesterday to get a new screen as a Christmas present. We set an appointment for 10:30 and online it said it would only take an hour. It didn't get finished until 3pm. I was going to let that slide since it was 2 days before Christmas and they were busy. But then I had to go back in an hour later because the home button, which worked fine before I took it in, kept getting stuck. They were kind and fixed it for me right there so I was willing to let that slide. The very next day I go to get a screen protector just to find out the brand new screen is coming off of my phone. I called the store to ask if I could come back in and the gentleman was a little rude. So I go back into the store and not only were the two guys in there extremely rude and snarky, they talked to me like I was stupid and then tried to say it was my fault, because invent my phone. Except my phone was not bent yesterday when I took it in. They finally fixed it, only for me to get home and my button has now started sticking again. What started out as a nice Christmas present turned into an awful ordeal, with rude people and now a phone that is more broken than it was before. I took my phone here to have the front glass replaced. They said it would take a few hours. No big deal. I dropped it off that evening and would just pick it up the next day. I got a call from a woman who was repairing it. She asked if I knew about the very small unnoticeable crack on the back. Also, no bid deal. When I arrived to pick it up the next day. The whole bottom corner on the back was shattered and VERY noticeable. No way anyone could ever miss that. They broke the phone and blamed it on me! Also my phone had no service and the bottom soft keys no longer worked. What??! So I had to leave my phone longer. Arrived the next day and now the phone had service and the buttons were working. They then decided the phone was broken in their possession ( duh! ) and would replace it. Great! Now I have to leave my phone longer! I also had to pay full price for the front screen after all this. Ugh! $300! Finally got my phone yesterday in great working order. FINALLY! The man who helped me throughout was awesome, he is the only reason i didn't completely throw a fit. Waited 15 minutes after walking in the door for assistance - apparently the little old lady in front of me wanted the War and Peace version of why she can't get incandescent bulbs anymore...Told the guy I needed a bulb for a Maglite, but instead of saying "hey, you need to give me the model number, there are MANY bulbs to choose from", he pulled one off the rack and gave it to me. I put it in the flashlight, hit the switch, and POOF...blew the bulb. Ordered one online from amazon (with my Maglite model number verified) and got two bulbs for what I paid for the blown bulb at this place. Avoid them if you have time to order online. read more
