This place used to be a lot better, now all you get are batteries with the long warranty that you have to keep replacing. Came here needing a new battery for my Honda Accord 2012. Asked them what they offered...here are the options.... $40 trade in with a warranty for 40 months. If anything happens within the 40 months you can bring your car back with the receipt for a free replacement any time. $110 new battery that has a 5 year warranty, within the first 18 months, if anything happens than its a free replacement. After 18 months you'll have to buy a pro rate, so essentially the longer you have the battery the more you'll have to pay. What i decided on...I went with the 40 months warranty because that seems more ideal and a better deal in my opinion! Service: James was the mechanic that helped me put in my battery! He was super friendly and gave me the run down of both the warranties and what he thought was the best deal. He was fast, efficient and did a great job. These guys are awesome. I had three cars dead in the water with weak/dead batteries. My daily driver, my pick up truck that pulls my car trailer with my race car, and my race car battery was dead. I pulled up in my daily after a jump start. Got three batteries - two to go home with and one installed in the daily. Everything still works great. Big shout outs to Jesse (tall dude with a long beard) and also to Lloyd (older guy with grey-ish blonde hair). This business ruined my day. My starter went out so my dad clutch started my car so I could take it here to get repaired (a friend suggested it because he said they'd charge less then my mechanic). I arrived at 1:49 pm and was told that it'd take 2 to 2.5 hours to install the starter I'd pre-purchased. They then put it up on the rack and took a peek underneath. I was turned to face the TV in the waiting area and assumed they were starting to work on my car. By 3 pm, the mechanic informed me that he hadn't even begun working on my car, claiming my engine was still "too hot". 70 minutes seems an awfully long time to cool a car down, but I trusted his word. Another 30 minutes later, I asked them to check to see if it'd cooled down enough to start working on. The guy just blew me off saying "Last time I checked, I burned my finger. Don't worry, we'll be done by 5 pm, because that's when we close". Mad, I thought "Okay...but that was 90 minutes ago". I didn't argue though, afraid they would service my car last and I had a birthday party to get to at 4 pm - which I knew I'd be late for since it was now 3:30 and they hadn't begun their 2 to 2.5 hour repair. In the interim, they must have helped 20 different people, selling, trading in and installing batteries. By 4 pm I was seething and asked if they could please check my car to see if they could begin the installation. The man said "Yeah. I've already gotten one bolt off your old starter...just need to get the other one off". I have no idea when he allegedly took one bolt off - since they kept saying the engine was too hot to work on...but 15 minutes later he walks over and says "I can't get the other bolt off and we close in 45 minutes so you'll have to come back tomorrow. It'll take at least 3 hours". Furious, I bit my tongue - because I needed them to clutch start my car, so I could get it the hell out of there and to a real mechanic!! Like I was going to have my dad drive back to my house the next day to clutch start my car, so I could drive back to the Battery Specialists and sit in that shabby waiting area another 3 hours!! And if I did, it didn't guarantee the mechanics would do anything more than blow me off again. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for - so even though the charge less than my mechanic, I got a big fat nothing out of my wasted 3 hours. read more

When I called they didn't have my battery but said to call back the next day. Called back and sure enough they had it. Price was a lil more then quoted but it was a better battery and well worth the extra $10. You will not find better service or quality of parts (battery) for the price. Stop shopping around and jus go buy a battery from the specialists : ) read more

battery specialists inc saved my day!! so for the past few days it seemed like my truck was a little reluctant to start in the morning. I was hoping it was just the battery and not something more expensive like the starter or solenoid. after having to get a jump at work in order to drive home I made a quick stop into battery specialists since it was on my way home. I have to tell you: the service here is amazing. as soon as I entered the building an older gentleman named Lloyd asked how he could help me. I told him my issue and he followed me to the truck with the battery tester. totally completely dead battery. well crap... its the last few days before payday and cash is a little tight and i don't really have the $100 for a new battery. he suggests a reconditioned one, at the low, low price of $25. i hesitate... i NEED to get back and forth to work. he said it has a one year warranty. oh hell yeah - sold!!! after i checked around and found out that there is absolutely no better deal to be found in all of Portland i told him to throw it in. the moral of the story... i was in, out, and completely satisfied with everything about this business in less than 15 minutes. i challenge you to find a better deal than a car battery for 25 American dollars with a one year warranty. fyi... the new batteries here have a 5 YEAR WARRANTY..... check around and find a better deal than that. thank you Lloyd for making sure i can get back and forth to work. thank you battery specialists for offering affordable options to your customers!! we will be back and recommending all of our friends and family to your business. read more
