Bought a reconditioned battery from Roberto and Juan and couldn't be more than happy with their service. I called before I showed up and Roberto and he even told me to make a right on Joy Street coming from Riverside and an immediate left at first driveway because they are behind the animal hospital. I had no problems following his directions and was absolutely happy with him even installing the battery in my little toy. Thank you Roberto and Juan, you will now have a new customer for life. A couple things: Bring your own tools for installing (car) battery. (They were great loaning me tools. It'd be better, faster to bring your own.) Bring a fit friend possibly to help carry 7 batteries. Because: this is a 1 or 2-person-at-a-time operation-- they may be too busy to carry batteries with you--& golf cart batteries are heavy. Like most if not all businesses like this, liability does not allow them to do connections of batteries, etc. Carrying them would have been helpful 'tho'. There IS a reasonable WARRANTY on the USED / reconditioned batteries I bought. I did not necessarily expect that. SUGGESTION: Highlight WARRANTY with texting, etc.; it's a selling point for me, especially 'cause I didn't expect it & always bought brand new batteries previous to this 7-battery purchase. Likewise: again like all businesses, CASH is better all around--they will give details. Note: I DID return OLD BATTERIES but there was an unexpected, approx. $20 ("recycle"?) fee. STILL, the total was a good CASH price vs using my cr. card. Nice little business FRONTING STREET, ENTRANCE on BACK OF BUILDING --finding it the first time, driving through Corona was a little difficult because older? / former? business name SIGNS are not completely clear-- that is, "Battery EXPRESS" is different (?) from signs on street. I SHALL give them all my reconditioned-battery business. PS there's, on this page, a single 1-star YELP review from a YEAR AGO... it is obviously NOT valid-- if you have your own voltmeter at least and/or realize you have to have a good CHARGING system (volts around 13-15 on a running engine and 12.2-12.6 volts for not-running engine), then that person's 1-star problem would have been completely explained--as Roberto did in his reply. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: The below was written before going to pick up 6 golf card plus 1 Mercedes batteries. I needed to get, texted to me, messages covering lots of info. (Regarding buying a total of 7 used batteries. Roberto (I assume it was owner, him?) was EXCELLENT patiently answering my several text-messaged questions. COMMUNICATING WELL with customers--in my 78 years of living experience-- is an indication of MUCH else good or bad about a business...in this case, to the BENEFIT of this business. I'm heading to make a major 7-battery purchase ASAP and shall do my other battery needs with him (for an old Mercedes). Batteries are junk. Spend the extra $$ and go to Costco, WalMart, anywhere else. You will spend the same amount with a new battery anywhere else versus buying another one from here because they are crap. read more
