My darling baby enjoying her last carrot fresh from the garden.
    Matthew S.

This last November we found out very suddenly that our 13 year old dog we'd have for 10 years had cancer and had to be put down that same day. I live in Reno and called every single vet I could to see if anyone would do a house visit on such short notice. With an aching heart and tons of tears I was turned down by every single place. "Not enough notice, to late in the day, sorry." Was all I got. Until Dr.Matt agreed to come out to us even though we're on the far north side of Reno. Thoes precious few hours we had with our girl before she was put down meant everything to me. Dr.Matt was kind and gentle and amazing throughout the entire process. Genuinely can't thank him enough for letting my baby's last moments be at home surrounded by her family instead of on a cold table in a clinic. Thank you Dr.Matt

I would highly recommend Battle Born Veterinary. Very professional and compassionate. our dog is alive today because of him.

Dr Matt was so gentle and the passing of my dog of 18 years was a peaceful and painless experience thanks to him.

Our tiny Princess Leia ("The Iron Lady") made a terrible life choice involving razor blade pieces,…read moreand this incredible vet team saved her life. After losing our previous tiny Yorkie during a routine dental procedure, we were absolutely terrified -- but from the first moment, the doctors and staff treated Leia like family. The level of skill, compassion, communication, and care we received was extraordinary. A huge thank you to Cameron Ross and Nick Mannan for their incredible work, kindness, and dedication during one of the scariest moments of our lives. Today Leia is back to doing zoomies, giving kisses, and running the household like nothing ever happened. We will never forget what this team did for our family.

I am extremely disappointed and heartbroken over our experience here. We brought our cat, Bandit,…read morein because he was very sick, weak, losing weight, and clearly not himself. I was already extremely emotional and scared, and instead of feeling like we had a team trying to help us, I felt like the first priority was how much money we could pay. Before even running tests to determine what was wrong with him, we were being asked about the cost. I understand that veterinary care costs money and that businesses have to charge for their services, but when someone is sitting there crying and desperately trying to help their pet, there should be compassion and some effort to explain the options clearly not make them feel like they are being forced into an impossible financial decision. We ultimately had to make the heartbreaking decision to put Bandit to sleep. I will always wonder whether something could have been done for him if we had been given a real opportunity to find out what was wrong and discuss treatment options before being pushed toward the cost of everything. We were charged around $500 for the euthanasia and cremation. I understand cremation is an additional service, but being charged that much after feeling like there wasn't much effort made to actually help save him has left me feeling devastated and taken advantage of. The most painful part is that I didn't feel like Bandit was being treated as a life that mattered. I felt like I was being treated as a customer and a dollar amount during one of the worst moments of my life. I held Bandit's hand while he received his final shot. He was a cat we found and rescued and became part of our family. We loved him, and we wanted to help him. I just wish I had felt that the people caring for him wanted the same thing. I hope this experience is taken seriously and that other families in a similar situation are given more compassion, transparency about costs, and genuine options before being put in the position we were in.
