We have only been seeing Dr. Schneider here at Timberline for a few months, but right away we knew that we had made a wonderful choice. A few days ago, we had to make the very difficult decision to help our sweet little Tinker to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Debbie at the front desk, was so kind and caring when I spoke with her that morning and we were able to come in that afternoon. Dr. Schneider and Cole, her assistant, showed such love and concern for our sweet Tinkie, and very gently helped her to leave this earth for her new Heavenly Home. What was a very difficult situation , became much, much easier with all of the loving care Tinker, my husband, and I received that afternoon. My family has been with Timberline from the very beginning, back when the old location was still Silver Hills. Recently, my father had to be put on a waiting list for our 13 year old pup who has not been doing well, no problem. However, his condition worsened and we had no choice but to get him in with another vet to be seen sooner. After multiple tests and scans, diagnosed him with liver cancer and we learned he doesn't have much longer left. This news has been devastating to our family. Today, my father called Timberline to share the news and be taken off of the waiting list since we had to make an emergency decision to take our pup elsewhere. The girl who took the call was extremely rude, essentially ridiculed my dad, and made it out to be that we have inconvenienced them because they had to "call for backup". WE HAD NO CHOICE, IT WAS AN EMERGENCY!!!! There are several choice words I could say about this interaction and the chick working the desk, but I'll keep it professional.... In a time when we are expecting to say goodbye to our beloved pup soon, Timberline's front desk staff showed no consideration and were rude, unprofessional, and ill-hearted. After many wonderful years with Timberline and formerly Silver Hills, I am disgusted with this lack of compassion displayed by their worker and will be putting our trust and loyalty towards a different vet office from now on. read more

Friendly and professional staff. Dr. Snyder is incredible. She answers all my questions (with patience, I have a lot of them) and is very informative. I definitely felt like I was a part of the decision-making process. And she never made me feel bad for choosing specific lower-cost options. Making timely appointments is easy. I love the staff here. Upon walking in, my dogs are always greeted by name and they get us into a room as soon as it's available. The rooms are spacious, rather than the tiny little boxes that you're shoved into in most other vet practices. The vet techs are always gentle and try to make my pups as comfortable as possible. Dr. Pulver is always extremely patient and answers any and all questions/concerns I have. He's never rushed and always takes his time explaining anything you'd like to know about. After being brushed off at so many other places, this will always be my go-to. It's nice to feel welcomed! read more

I just walked in to see about changing my vet from Lake Tahoe CA to Carson City. I was told by the receptionist that they are not taking any new patients as they are "crazy busy". I have been a client of Dr. Pulver for many years. Dr. Pulver is a wonderful, kind and caring vet. He was our vet when he was working at another vet hospital in town and I was very sad when he left to open a practice in Reno. Now that he is practicing in Carson City again, I returned to him with my girl that suffers from Addison's Disease. He was very caring and took the time to let her warm up to him before handling her. He was very patient and addressed my concerns about care for my girl if he was on vacation or at any time his office was closed. I highly recommend this practice. read more

This place is great. We made an appointment the same day I called. Everyone is very courteous and respectful. Dr. Pulver was patient and very informative. We wanted and anti-anxiety medication to calm down our dog for long drives back to the bay area. Dr. Pulver informed us of all of our options to reduce our dog's anxiety and told us the side effects of the medication we wanted unsolicited. He and his assistant made their best efforts to make our little barky dog happy and comfortable. The doctor even sat down on the floor so my dog could thoroughly check him out. His friendly, open personality and the fact that he received his doctorate from Cornell made us very comfortable entrusting our dogs' health with him. We brought our very old black lab in for a humane end of life. She had a very large tumor that other vets insisted had a surgery-only course of action & made us feel guilty that the financial side of it played into our difficult decision. Thanks to great reviews here we went to Timberline for one more consultation. He was the first of the 3 we'd visited to not only suggest letting go, but to make us feel like it was the more responsible decision than a risky $1,000+ surgery. There were many tears shed, but he & his staff were remarkably patient as our children all said goodbye & snuggled her as she took her last breaths. Lying, conspiring staff. I simply called to ask about the cost of my puppy's 2nd already scheduled vaccine appt. and was rudely told I didn't have an appt. on that day by someone who did not first check the clinic appointment schedule to confirm. She aggressively argued that I was wrong, insisting it was too soon for the 2nd vaccine. I asked her to please check their schedule and when she saw I was right she hung up on me. I called back to ask who I last spoke to and was rudely lied to with... "We don't know who you spoke to" and then a moment later "It was me" from the same person. Okay... sure. I had to ask twice "Who is me?" before being given the wrong name. Their office manager calls the next day to tell me they excused me from their practice, since the two girls conspired together and made up lies that I yelled and cursed at them... It's concerning, the lies they will fabricate and the lengths they will go, to protect each other, wow! As it turns out, I spoke to Alicia initially, Lisa the 2nd time when she lied saying "it was me," lastly, Sharon colluded with them and lied too.
