The tuna tartare was composed of salt cured chopped up tuna. The thin crust pizza which was described as crispy, was soggy & mushy. Service was lackluster. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I go out to dinner to enjoy myself. Not to have the host look down his nose at me and pretty much insinuate I was an liar. I called to make a reservation I was told no reservations needed. So when we got there, the host told us no reservation , no seat. The place was 95% empty. This is a great restaurant. The outdoor seating is very nice and very comfortable. The tables were appropriately spaced. We ordered the bruschetta to share. Fresh tomatoes on crusty bread. Delicious. My husband ordered the pizza. This will definitely be the place to order a pizza to go. Three choices for the crust and many choices for toppings. Reasonably priced as well. I ordered the tuna with pistachios; this was outstanding. Perfectly cooked and seasoned with an arugula side salad. Two reasons for four instead of five stars. The service did not match the food, meaning we had very intermittent service, had to ask for a paper menu, and there were different servers and it took a long time to place the order. This might sound picky but the mozzarella cheese in the bruschetta was "store bought", not what I would have thought to be used in otherwise authentic Italian food. Picked this restaurant due to great reviews on yelp. Organized a birthday dinner for 10 of my friends. Starting out, accommodating 10 chairs on the long table meant that if one person needed to get out, everyone had to get out on that side. The chairs were literally stuck to each other. The food was OK. I ordered the pomegranate martini and was not a fan. For dinner I ordered the Branzino with ratatouille. The fish was OK but the ratatouille was actually pretty darn good probably the best part of the meal. My brother ordered the chicken Parmesan, which was also pretty average. The most disappointing part though was the service or lack there of. We had to wait long periods of time before we could flag someone down to even get us water, or to clear the table or to take our drink orders. Maybe they were short staffed but they knew we had a large table and looked like they just couldn't keep up for simple service items. They had a DJ, whose music was a tad too loud so conversation was difficult - some of the design elements in the outdoor patio also need to be redone. The plants were literally on top of people and servers and had to be moved. The birthday sparkler in a pot of tiramisu at the end, with a nice touch. Overall, however, not what we were looking for for my birthday dinner. read more

One of the most amazing restaurants I've ever been to. Spent Valentine's Day, my birthday and go consecutively here for date nights. From the moment you walk in, everyone is extremely kind and welcoming. The BEST and most authentic Italian food you will ever have. Their homemade lasagna is my favorite. The setting is stunning, I love their outside patio but inside is beautifully set up as well. The owners/managers are always checking in to see how the customers are enjoying their food and for my bday they prepared the most amazing desserts. I love this place! Everything is great there. Nice big and cozy terrace, good cocktails, there is a full bar what is not usual for Italian restaurants. Service is always very good in Battubelin. And food. I liked almost everything I've tried (pasta with pesto is exemption). So it's one of our favorite places in Miami. Hope they will add some more courses for vegans :) read more

This place is super cute. Great covered out door area. We ordered takeout and portions were small and not very fancy. I am hoping that eating in will be better. I would have given a 3 star rate if but service was very friendly and they have the prettiest waitress I've ever seen. I hope they step up their takeout game. We love this place! Real Italians cooking real Italian food... First time we only had appetizers but the Bruschetta was amazing with awesome fresh tomatoes and the pesto pasta was perfect. Today we're doing Veal Milanese and Chicken Parm. And they were awesome! The parm was cheesy and moist the Veal was great with a nice tomato and mozzarella topping. A great limoncello ended the meal. Had to make a rush decision on a dinner on a Friday night in Miami; never a good situation to be in! Luckily Battubelin was able to accommodate our large group in a short amount of time. I have actually been to this location before when it was known as Mina's Mediterranean. Although the building remains largely unchanged, the food is now Italian. Luckily the quality of food and service is just as good as the predecessor. The highlight of our meal were the appetizers / antipasta which were the bocconcini and the buratta. The bocconcini in particular was my highlight as both the veggie and meat portions were drizzled with some olive oil and arugula that pushed it over the top. We weren't very adventurous with the pasta dishes however, but they were quite tasty. I personally had the fettuccini al tocco which was pretty good. Will return and recommend! read more

Battubelin, in Genoese dialect (VERY sanitized) means "I don't give a damn. So, as an Italian from Genoa, I expected the typical Genoese fare: focaccias (the real thing) either simple, with onions or cheese, several pesto dishes, in addition to the usual Italian fare. Well, I got there at 7:00 pm and "the focaccia was finished." I mean, you have a Genovese restaurant and have no focaccia? OK, what about pesto? "Yes but our pesto has no pine nuts or garlic." It's like asking for Bolognese and all you get is the Brooklyn version of it. As for the wine, I ordered a Supertuscan. It may have been Tuscan allright, but was no "Super." One of those Spanish wines sold in boxes would be much better. Then I ordered a Milanese. Any Italian expects it to be thin and crunchy. It was fat and mushy. All in all, a disappointment. But I saw plenty of Americans having a good time. Which indicates that, if you're an American happy with whatever they put in front of you, you won't be disappointed. But if you expect a normal Genoese or Italian good food. Stay clear of this place. read more

What I most liked about the place is the ambiance and vibe. Its super romantic and cute. I ordered the Pomodoro pasta as I always do at Italian spots. I thought it was good but not amazing. I tried the eggplant parmesan which was average. The waiter recommended focaccia al formaggio and said it was in of the best dishes however I was not a fan because its too much dough would rather order a burrata or a regular pizza. We arrived as a party of 6 and were told that she had a table, if we left within the hour, as the table was reserved, we looked at each other not understanding what she meant. Then, she found us a table. They brought us 3 slices of bread for six people. The servers were unpolished and not accommodating. Authentic Italian cuisine from Genoa. We reserved a week in advance for a very large party, maybe 35-45 of us, 7 families for our kids 8th grade graduation. They were super accommodating all the waiters, tables, even checks were ready and separated when we arrived. As soon as we sat the served every table scrumchous onion garlicky bread which is typical from Genoa, as per the owner. The owner kept watch as the waiters attended and would provide any help if needed. We ordered the eggplant parmigiana, margarita pizza, calamari, and the veal parmigiana. Everything was fresh and tasty. We had a great time, the food prep did not take long considering the size of our group, we stayed long as the kids took pictures and families socialized, Batubelin staff were awesome they never hurried us even long after we were all done. This is good and bad lol because it's so good you end up getting full on bread before you even dive into the pastas, cheeses, meats etc. everyone seemed to speak Italian in there so I felt like I was sitting in a local restaurant in Florence or something. Which rings authentic to me so I like that. It's right on the causeway and has parking for free. Also indoor and outdoor seating. I had a friend's Birthday to celebrate and I wanted a special place that I could eat outside due to the current pandemic/Corona Virus situation. I remembered my favorite Birthday celebration place, Battubelin, and was so happy that I took my friend here. It was her first time here and she loved it. We started with a delicious Bresaola salad of Bresaola(cured meat), Arugula,Cherry Tomato and Parmigiano. We shared two wonderful homemade pastas. Bucatini Al Pesto and another Pasta with Black Truffle. Both were fantastic. We finished with a nice Tiramisu that was perfect. Our waiter was great and had a mask so I felt safe there. It was better than the gnocchi I've had in Amalfi Italy. It was like little pillows of perfection. My wife and I stopped in to try the pizza on a Saturday afternoon about three. The menu had a great selection but we just were hoping for a great pizza close to home. Sorry but they did not deliver. All pizzas are for one person and are 16$. Kind of high but real buffalo mozzarella and good sauce and toppings. The middle of the pizza was soggy wet. It was cooked but didn't look like it. Tasted fine but I didn't care for the was the center looked or texture. I will give their pasta a try. I hope it is as good as other reviews say it is. read more

Had dinner last night and it was amazing . We had the Gnocchis with their signature bolognese sauce , so fresh and the taste was incredible. Their burger is on a focaccia bun and stuffed with mozzarella and cooked to perfection ! Service was impeccable and felt like royalty.
