I wanted to try San Lorenzo since it's owned by the same team and follows a similar concept as Cotoletta. They offer a set menu that changes daily/weekly so you can only order from the options available rather than a full menu. The location is really nice, especially if you sit outside. Being right by the river makes for a great atmosphere, and the service was great. I was a little underwhelmed by the food. It was good, but not memorable enough to make me want to come back, especially for the price. I personally prefer Cotoletta, which I think delivers better value and overall food quality.

I came here due to a few videos on instagram and I feel such a let down. First let me start off with the positive , the service was great , very attentive described every course. Now with my experience first, what was this appetizer-- beet carpaccio, potatoes salad, tomatoes , and some weird tuna that tasted canned with some sauce and o don't know what else ? Ohhh, and let's not forget the eggplant with chocolate-- does any of that combination sound appetizing to you? Yes, very disappointed, and I am not a picky eater, but I think something simpler yet appetizing will be better received . Now let's get into the main course, the lobster pasta-- for two people, they gave us half a lobster. It was half of a tail for two people and one claw. The lobster wasn't fresh it was flaking as we tried to take it off the shell and so hard to get the little meet that we received. It was literally ridiculous for a bill that was over $300. It's absurd and subpar . Now the dessert-- the tiramisù. Where are the cookies ? It was just crème . I am so dissatisfied and will not be back . It's so unfortunate . However, the ambiance outside is nice, and so is the bathroom, but as an avid restaurant goer, I can emphasize enough how it was simply just not worth it for me . I would rather spend $300 on a party for 2 somewhere else. .

We're here on opening night and there aren't words to describe how amazing this restaurant was !!! The food and service were outstanding don't hesitate to come if you're looking for a good italian restaurant - no menu just the specials of the day !!!

When we got out of the car, it was drizzling a bit and the waiters met us outside with umbrellas and walked us into the restaurant. It felt so nice! The waiters were so nice and friendly. The concept is a rotating menu of fish courses paired with pastas or meat. There is no physical menu, they just list off the options. It's per couple $120/$140 depending on the options available. They have a gorgeous bar and our drinks were DELICIOUS. I had a gin gimlet that was so delicious. The meal included a set of appetizers for the table and dessert options. The experience was different, beautiful. Definitely somewhere to take someone you're trying to impress!

I would suggest ordering the lobster pasta, and finishing off with the tiramisu for dessert.

Unfortunately, the illusion fades rather quickly. The first sign of trouble arrives with the server sporting a rather impressive lip piercing, followed closely by a colleague whose diamond nose stud could probably be seen from space. Not exactly the ambiance one expects when aiming for "elegant." Despite the abundance of servers floating around the dining room, none seem to notice when your knife dramatically dives off the table and lands on the floor -- where it enjoys a long, lonely stay. Water service is also quite innovative: they simply leave the entire bottle at the table, which seems less about generosity and more about avoiding the inconvenience of returning to refill your glass. The food? Sadly just as uninspired. From the octopus to the $68 Milanese, every dish managed the impressive feat of being completely flavorless. The Milanese arrived with a beautiful crust, which raised hopes... until you realized there was no sauce, no garnish, and nothing to rescue what turned out to be a remarkably bland plate. Meanwhile, the staff appears deeply committed to minimizing effort -- though not shy about judging you directly when the tip doesn't meet their expectations. All in all, this place feels like fine dining in costume. Perhaps a return to the basics of hospitality and service would be a good start... followed by a serious conversation with whoever is currently in the kitchen. Good luck to anyone brave enough to give it a try.

We choose the indoor seating this time around, but I think I prefer the outdoor seating. Indoors was lovely. It was dark, sexy, no bugs, and the perfect temperature. We ordered: Faust wine 5/5 All the usual free apps 5/5 Grilled Octopus 5/5 Spicy Rigatoni 5/5 Veal Parmesan 5/5 The service was great! They had amazing team work to provide the perfect high class dinning for guest. I never had to think about water being refilled, wine glass being refilled, or crumbs on the table. They checked in with us just enough. Price: If you have drinks, apps, entree, and dessert expect to spend around $300 or more. Portions: Not the largest portions for "family size" but if it's just two it may be filling enough because they give you bread, cheese, cured meats, and pickled cauliflower for the appetizers. Overall, this is one of our favorite spots and it's truly worth the hype. For it being F1 weekend it was not as hectic as expected.

I had high expectations for Carbone, especially given its reputation, but unfortunately, my…read moreexperience left me feeling disappointed. THE FOOD The food itself wasn't the problem- the value was. Charging nearly $200 for a 2.5-pound lobster and serving what appeared to be no more than 10 ounces of meat is unacceptable. I've ordered lobster countless times, and this was nowhere close to what should come from a lobster of that size. It honestly felt like a bait-and-switch. At Carbone's prices and reputation, I expected transparency and quality, not to leave wondering if I had just paid hundreds of dollars for an empty shell. It completely overshadowed the rest of the meal and left a terrible impression. THE SERVICE Our wait staff was excellent- friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. When I raised my concern about the lobster, however, there wasn't a meaningful solution offered. The manager did bring out complimentary meatballs and two slices of cake, which was appreciated, but it didn't address the actual issue. I requested the veal entrée (about $125) as a gesture of goodwill, but that request was denied. I left feeling that my concerns were acknowledged but not truly resolved. THE VIBE The ambiance is everything you'd expect from Carbone- stylish, energetic, and full of old-school charm. It's a beautiful restaurant with a lively atmosphere, making it a great place for a special occasion. Ultimately, the atmosphere and attentive wait staff weren't enough to make up for what felt like poor value and an unsatisfactory resolution to a legitimate concern. At this level of dining, guests should leave feeling impressed--not questioning whether they received what they paid for. Our total bill was close to $1000. UNACCEPTABLE.

We ordered the Valentina and King Bee cocktails to start and they came out delicious! Highly recommend. For entrees we ordered the fettuccine bolognese and the short rib tortellini. We joined the clean plate club with both of these dishes and didn't leave a crumb. For desert we had the espresso martinis tiramisu and once again cleaned the plate. Safe to say the dishwashers were fans of us. The service was impeccable. Food and drinks came out quick, waters were refilled promptly, and our server Alessandro made sure we were taken care of. This is a great date night spot and I would definitely put this place on your radar when in the Brickell area.

Very disappointing experience…read more I ordered the seafood pasta, priced at $34, and was shocked by how small the portion was. The dish felt more like an appetizer than an entrée. For the price, the value was simply not there. The tiny table made the experience even worse, leaving almost no room for plates, drinks, or personal items. Instead of enjoying the meal, I felt cramped and uncomfortable the entire time. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely disappointing. Charging premium prices while serving such small portions is embarrassing. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning. Shame on them!!!! Please don't go.
