Had dinner here last night... this place is in a very inconspicuous location, but when you get on the property you come into another world. Very nice setting over all. We were greeted by our server, very nice Italian young man.. who knew everything about what he was serving. I asked what was the house speciality cocktail, vodka sour, of course I had one. So glad I did, so delicious. As for the food he informed us there was "no" menu, and offered verbally the options. Apps were a series of 5-6 different dishes, all were amazing, and not just the typical Italian apps, they were somewhat unique for the most part.... I don't eat gluten, they not only accommodated, they were prepared and all the apps were made gluten free, and even had gluten free bread served. We cleaned up the apps. Main dish was pasta, also gluten free.. I don't get pasta often but glad I did. All the food was outstanding... made my top 5 list. To finish it off the value of the meal was outstanding... what we paid for what we ate was probably one of the most outstanding values I've seen in a while in Miami. We will definitely be back with friends. And!!! They have an outside private are you can use for parties. Very impressed with the overall experience. I had been to this lo before when it was something else... but don't remember our experience.. the setting is definitely magical as it's on the little river water way.. can't wait to be back.

I wanted to try San Lorenzo since it's owned by the same team and follows a similar concept as Cotoletta. They offer a set menu that changes daily/weekly so you can only order from the options available rather than a full menu. The location is really nice, especially if you sit outside. Being right by the river makes for a great atmosphere, and the service was great. I was a little underwhelmed by the food. It was good, but not memorable enough to make me want to come back, especially for the price. I personally prefer Cotoletta, which I think delivers better value and overall food quality.

I came here due to a few videos on instagram and I feel such a let down. First let me start off with the positive , the service was great , very attentive described every course. Now with my experience first, what was this appetizer-- beet carpaccio, potatoes salad, tomatoes , and some weird tuna that tasted canned with some sauce and o don't know what else ? Ohhh, and let's not forget the eggplant with chocolate-- does any of that combination sound appetizing to you? Yes, very disappointed, and I am not a picky eater, but I think something simpler yet appetizing will be better received . Now let's get into the main course, the lobster pasta-- for two people, they gave us half a lobster. It was half of a tail for two people and one claw. The lobster wasn't fresh it was flaking as we tried to take it off the shell and so hard to get the little meet that we received. It was literally ridiculous for a bill that was over $300. It's absurd and subpar . Now the dessert-- the tiramisù. Where are the cookies ? It was just crème . I am so dissatisfied and will not be back . It's so unfortunate . However, the ambiance outside is nice, and so is the bathroom, but as an avid restaurant goer, I can emphasize enough how it was simply just not worth it for me . I would rather spend $300 on a party for 2 somewhere else. .

We're here on opening night and there aren't words to describe how amazing this restaurant was !!! The food and service were outstanding don't hesitate to come if you're looking for a good italian restaurant - no menu just the specials of the day !!!

When we got out of the car, it was drizzling a bit and the waiters met us outside with umbrellas and walked us into the restaurant. It felt so nice! The waiters were so nice and friendly. The concept is a rotating menu of fish courses paired with pastas or meat. There is no physical menu, they just list off the options. It's per couple $120/$140 depending on the options available. They have a gorgeous bar and our drinks were DELICIOUS. I had a gin gimlet that was so delicious. The meal included a set of appetizers for the table and dessert options. The experience was different, beautiful. Definitely somewhere to take someone you're trying to impress!

I would suggest ordering the lobster pasta, and finishing off with the tiramisu for dessert.

One always think "if they have good ingredients they're going to be good" but apparently, Pane e Vino misses this notion: they have the best ingredients for sure but also the master hand of incredible chefs that make every dish unique. My mum had the Cannelloni di la Nonna, smooth, and delicious. My dad had the Maltagliatti, and he didn't talk after he finished. I was celebrating my birthday. And I asked for the Alla Ruotta, but with Pappardelle. Made Al dente, this pasta was smooth, with a a sauce that merged the best Italian tomatoes, and the best Parmigiano Reggiano. I added cheese on top of it, but that's because I'm an absolute fan. Then after they sang Happy Birthday to me - something I didn't ordered - they provided the table with THE ABSOLUTE BEST TIRAMISÙ I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY EXISTENCE. Don't ask the ingredients, enjoy. You're absolutely welcome. Creamy, soft, fresh, all done at the very moment. It makes you question why this restaurant doesn't have a Michelin star... While the concept is the classic "Italian Hole-in-the-wall" and the ambiance is quiet, ideal for a romantic date, with dim lighting and soft music, there's always an artist making pasta at the window, and there's always time for the chiacchiere with Angelo. His stories of life and recipes are great, but also some Juventus talk, and how football evolves... amazing... amazing. Amazing food. Amazing people. Grazie mile, Marco e Angelo! Divina cuccina, divina famiglia! Un grande abbraccio argentino.

Btw if you want your pasta to be served alongside your main protein choice tell your server and make sure he understands. Otherwise you will be eating it separately. That being said, over all the food & portions were good. We were a group of 8 and ordered many dishes. Some worth mentioning were the prawns in green sauce, the Branzino and the steak. Yes.... Will go back again.

This was short lived and after a little while we were invisible. Our server was nice enough but she was definitely not friendly, did not make any recommendations and barely smiled (not even at our 6 year old!). When she brought our dishes, she dropped off and literally ran away. We had to flag her down for parmesan and then didn't see her again throughout our whole meal until we asked the busboy (who we saw more than her) for dessert menus. No one bothered to clean our table full of crumbs in between. She did not ask us not once if we needed anything. However, she was quite able to chat and smile up a storm with a large party next to us who ordered tons of wine and food. This did not feel like fine dining The food was actually pretty good. It was nice that they allowed us to have Miami Spice entrees if we wanted to since they weren't on the menu. The Pear ravioli with goat cheese was delicious. My husband got the pasta with black squid and said it was ok... The pistacchio cake for dessert was just OK. And fyi they charge $10 to park in their lot, Might as well park in the street. I really I really wanted to like it but the service left a bad taste in my mouth sadly.

The hostesses (2) told us 45', we agreed. I asked to go to the bar to have drinks, we were told we couldn't (the bar had some open seats). I said OK, I'll order the drink and we wait outside, hostess was annoyed at that suggestion. She said if we wanted a drink, we'd have to go to their sister restaurant (which was packed). After 1hr 15' (we stayed outside waiting, no drinks), we checked in and the hostess rudely told us that she can't foresee when people will leave. So we took our $350 check to Hillstones, where they value regulars. We have dined at Luca before and love their food, but seems like success has gotten to the hostess' heads. Restaurants, especially in Miami, succeed and survive from the loyal locals, not from tourists nor fads. Seems that Luca has forgotten that. We're happy to take our business elsewhere, even a chain restaurant who values repeat customers.
