This location is pretty small but the ambiance in there feels like a classic New York City pizza shop. Haven't eaten pizza here in years but after all the great reviews decided to go there! Well...what a HUGE disappointment I decided to have the veggie pizza. I hate to say it but it was HORRIBLE!!! And you can ask my husband..I eat just about anything!! The crust was mushy. it was hard to even cut with a knife and the broccoli was olive green and the tomatoes were mushy also...as though the ingredients had been sitting on the pizza already and then reheated!! I forced myself to eat a second slice to see if I was wrong but ended up throwing the rest of the pizza away! My husband had the meatball sub and he said the meatballs had absolutely no taste so after 2 bites he gave me the rest of it! Yall I love this place. You don't come here for fine dining, fabulous service, or ig aesthetics. This is a casual spot for some good pizza, plain and simple. It's been a favorite spot of mine and my husband for years and our recent visit kept it right up at the top of our list. Pizza shops either have a family vibe or a punk rock kind of vibe, it's obvious which was Steve's leans. Ordering is simple and I'm always surprised by their variety in the menu, though we only ever come for fresh hot pizza. Pepperoni with fresh garlic is our favorite and I am in love with their sweet sauce so we always get a side bowl to dip the pizza in. I had left a review before and yes, this place used to be my go to place for pizza. However, lately it has gotten so expensive that it's not really worth the money for pizza. It doesn't need to be sixty dollars for 2 basic cheese and pepperoni pies. Additionally, there's never anywhere to sit and the staff is horrendous. One staff member was totally drunk, screaming out obscenities to other patrons, laughing and singing extremely loudly and the other 2 employees said nothing. It was difficult to eat there with that gross, drunk man there. Initially, I thought he was homeless until I saw him making pizza boxes. That environment is crude. The culture at Steve's is mostly takeout and single slices but my husband and I always like a pie each for leftovers. Not sure when I'll be back. Good pizza. Definitely overpriced. read more

Great local spot. Been coming here for years, always busy when I'm here. The interior is chill and quirky, with a bunch of random stickers and graffiti on the wall. Times can take a bit long for dine-in or take out...but it's just cause it's a small spot and they have a lot of traffic. Prices are great and the pizzas are big. This is my favorite spot for a pizza with SWEET sauce, it's so yummy. I always get my pizza with pepperoni, onion, extra sauce, and WELL done. I love it and it's a great easy eat with the family :). The pepperoni is solid great crust, really flavorful pepperoni, and a light sauce that doesn't overpower. The garlic rolls are tasty, though they come heavy on the garlic, so I usually scrape some off but they're still a favorite. This time, I decided to branch out and try the buffalo chicken pizza and the meat lovers. As you can see in the pictures, neither looked very appetizing, and unfortunately, they tasted just as bad. The buffalo chicken pizza had cold chunks of what tasted like cheap frozen chicken tenders honestly inedible. The meat lovers was also disappointing; I ended up picking the meat off and just eating the crust. Lesson learned I'll stick with the tried-and-true pepperoni. read more

The pizza itself is really good but the ambiance of the restaurant can be a bit stressful when it is a busy night. We got two slices of pizza and they were around $4 and huge! They were super delicious, we wanted to get another slice but didn't want to wait around again. It isn't a very big place so seating is super limited on a busy day and you are expected to clean the table yourself if it becomes open. A good wipe down and sweep would make you feel more comfortable eating in a very cluttered place. The bathrooms are pretty disgusting and not cleaned regularly, the smell is just too much to bear. It also is behind the business and can be a bit sketchy. This is a once in a blue moon experience as I just can't justify the uncleanliness. We tried Steve's Pizza and ordered Buffalo wings, garlic rolls, a chicken Parmesan hoagie, and a large pizza (half pepperoni, half cheese). The Buffalo wings were just OK--some had decent flavor, but most lacked seasoning beyond the sauce. They also came out lukewarm. The garlic rolls were probably the best thing we ordered, but that's not saying much. They were good, just not anything special. The chicken Parmesan hoagie had good flavor but was also not hot, which made it less enjoyable. The pizza suffered the same issue--not hot when we got it. We waited outside, expecting to hear our name called over the mic, but we never did. By the time we realized our order was ready, the pizza had already cooled off. The best part of the meal was the tiramisu--solid flavor and well-balanced. We have driven past Steve's Pizza many times, and each time, it is packed with people, so we promised ourselves we would stop by there the next time. Today was it for lunch! Parking is right out front with wheelchair accessiblability. Easy walk to their door. It is a very small place with a high ceiling, so there was no feel of claustrophobia. Be ready to see written graffiti all over the walls and furniture. It reminded me of the 70s or some small pizza joint on a country road in Wyoming. But they are definitely big on tasty pizzas! We got there before the lunch crowd appeared and got a good booth. It was hot outside, so we stayed indoors where it was cool. We ordered a large half Hawaiian pizza and a half sausage & mushrooms. ($37) It was really good! Big slices, crust was perfect, fresh toppings, good marinara sauce. I see why there is always a crowd here. We want to thank Anthony for his helpfulness, friendliness, and great smile. You can tell he enjoys working there. In case you don't see it inside, the restroom is outside, like some gas stations. I would like to start this review with saying Steve's Pizza was my go to Pizza spot in Miami for many years. It was as close to what I felt NY Pizza slice was in Miami even though yes it was a little sweet with the sauce but they had the dough down right. It still is a great slice and a great place. But I have to not give it 5 stars simply based on price going up and certain things like no refills on fountain drinks. I also feel the quality has gone down just a little bit. But don't let this fool you into thinking Steve's isn't still great. I would still choose Steve's Pizza 8 out of 10 times. The slices are huge! I always grab a couple of cheese slices along with a fountain drink and I'm totally good. If in the area definitely give Steve's a try. read more

Be hyperstoned and megalate and you'll love the pizza out of this place. Is it late at night? Add one star. Are you sober? Deduct TWO stars. Steve definitely capitalizes off of these two factors because the pizza itself is honestly just not flipping good. The dough is way sweet and the sauce is super super sweet.
