My review is only for the breakfast here. Batuar is the restaurant/bar located inside the Cotton House. The interior is gorgeous - sunny, tiled rooms with views to the beautiful deck or clubby more private spaces that reflect the past life as the Cotton Exchange. For breakfast it's a buffet, and a mighty one at that. Fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, cold cuts aplenty, freshly made juice blends and a whole table full of desserts. If you need to have eggs or something cooked it's a €5 supplement but we never needed it. I particularly loved their apple/spinach/cucumber juice and their light, moist red velvet cake. And their cafe con leche is wonderful - high praise from someone who normally will not drink coffee. Service is great too - they keep cups refilled and make sure everything is fresh and clean.

Stunning garden deck and terrific service. Underwhelming pulpo main course but veggie sides were wonderful..ie grilled fennel etc.

    Amazing burger and fries!

I had the best burger in my life at Batuar. You must try it. The fries were also excellent. They also have a great bar with good drink selections. Try the passion julep! Staff are fantastic. Very knowledgeable. Great service.

The kimchi croquette with tuna and seaweed is one of the best things I've ever eaten. No joke.

The only thing I can figure is that staff wrote the reviews. Had 5 items off dinner menus. No flavor at all. Staff great. Food is terrible.

Oh my goodness this is so good. If I ever go to Barcelona again I would come here…read more Must get: Steak with foie gras on bread 8/10: sooo decadent and luxurious. It's abt 8 euros a piece. Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! Comfortable ambiance great for date night or casual meals!!!

Wow, this meal was so good I literally made another reservation after we left. This place might be…read moreadvertised as a tapas restaurant, but it's much more than that. The service was excellent, our server spoke English and knew so much about American pop culture. He even sang NSYNC songs to us while serving us dishes. As for the food let's get into it: - Lobster Croquettes (8/10) We've had a lot of croquettes this trip, but these were on another level, get one per person. - Paella (7.5/10) Different style of paella from other places we went. It was almost like a paella curry, which was still rich and delicious. - Squid Sandwich (10/10) This is hands down the best appetizer I've ever had. The squid was packed with flavor and the mayo sauce they used paired perfectly. Order one per person, and be prepared to order another to go. - Garlic Shrimp (8/10) Solid entree paired with sourdough bread. Dip that bread into the sauce and you'll be satisfied. - Aged Beef Steak w/ Foie Gras (9/10) This might be one of the best steak dishes I've had traveling abroad. It was cooked perfectly, and came with a potato crust on the bottom and Foie Gras on top. Definitely a must order. Overall a great experience, from the service and ambiance to the quality of the food, this is a must try when visiting Barcelona. Would I go again? Absolutely!

Delicious variety of tapas in a bright cheery environment! Definitely make a reservation because…read morethe line was piling out the door even for a weekday lunch. The menu has a nice variety of items, and they're all pretty small so you can try a lot. Our favorite was the squid sandwich, a super unique must get! We also really liked the garlic shrimp, which had a nice fragrant flavor from the heads. The tiramisu was also delightful with a nice balance of sweet and bitter flavors. We heard the razor clams were really good, but they didn't have any the day we visited which was a bummer!
