Iced rooh afza matcha with oat milk
    Vi L.

What a beautiful coffee shop, that I never would have found if I hadn't heard about it to check it out. It's down some stairs in an outdoor strip mall type of center. The seating area is spacious with many different types of seating - tables with chairs, booths, couches, counter, and (shoes off) cushions on carpet with low tables (my favorite). As with most coffee shops, you order at the counter and they'll call your name when ready. You can order through a screen or with a staff member. The first time I came here, I got an iced rooh afza matcha with oatmilk, which was a beautiful and delicious matcha and rose cream drink, topped with dried rose petals. I've also tried the iced mango matcha and wished there was more mango cold foam because it was very tasty. The salted mocha latte and baklava latte were also good, though I think the baklava flavor would come through better at regular sweetness (though I always get 25% sweetness). To eat, I've tried the pogaca - a sort of heavy and hearty (could tell it was made with oil) Turkish bread with egg wash and black sesame seeds on top. I got the olive on which had black olive slices inside It was pretty good but I probably wouldn't personally seek it out again. The rasmalai milk cake was very nice, like a very moist tres leches with cardamom, pistachio, and rasmalai style spongy cheese on top. My favorite was the honey cake, just excellent flavor and creamy texture, great dessert for sharing. There is complimentary water available (pitchers and cups) if desired. I enjoyed myself and found the music and atmosphere to be relaxing. Good place to take a break, do some work, or catch up with friends. They have some board games too! Though I think the scrabble is missing some letter tiles.

OK cafe lovers, here is the scoop on Cube Coffee ~ Cube Coffee was eye catching for their set up of different seating options and coffee. I finally made my way to this cafe to see what they have to offer. I went on Saturday morning shortly after opening and found a few people were already sitting down enjoying their morning coffee. The two staff members greeted me so it was a warm welcome from the jump. I decided to use the kiosk to order because I knew I wanted to scroll through the menu. There are many different options of drinks and pastries. I noticed there were options to jazz up your drink. Many flavors of syrups to choose from. I was there for the coffee and didn't even think of pastries; however I did end up with a little bite to pair with my coffee. I ordered the CARDAMON SPANISH LATTE hot adding BAKLAVA syrup. You read that correctly. Baklava syrup, yes please! This latte turned out pretty good. As I scanned the menu I realized there were eye catching pastries so I had to try the BAKLAVA. It was a baklava kind of day. I went with the PISTACHIO BAKLAVA that came in two tiny yet mighty pieces. It was so yummy. Lite crispy and pistachio flavor was apparent. My lovely company ended up getting the CARDAMON SPANISH LATTE cold as is. No added or unique syrup. I tried it and agreed it was tasty. We ordered for dine in so the drinks came in glassware vs take out in to go cups. When you enter the cafe you'll see middle shelves full of items to purchase. Whether you want to add to your kitchenware or grab a gift for a friend; there are options. The cafe has different options for seating for a different vibes. If you're there to hang out with friends there are cozy seating with cushions on chairs, couch, or floor seats. Then you have traditional table and chairs for maybe a meeting with a client or mutual friend. There are booth seats that are what I'd say engraved in the wall type of cubby seating - these would be good for a privacy coffee date or perhaps working remote. I observed different types of gatherings from families (with and without young kids) , young friends, middle age friends, a gentlemen that looked like he was working remotely, a couple enjoying morning coffee. The staff and service were great. Overall, I'd say this is a nice addition to Route 40 in Ellicott City closer to Catonsville. The parking lot is free and the cafe can be found in a business place on the bottom floor.

Iced Rooh Afza Latte Manhattan Soda
    Shafiq A.

A great new coffee shop in Ellicott City. The space is gorgeous and welcoming. People are there hanging out, working, and just relaxing. The ambiance is kinda loud, which can be good for distracting but not noisy where it would be difficult to work. I love the layout because there is something for everyone. Booths, small tables, an area where you can sit on the floor and work/have coffee with others. We ordered the Rooh Afza matcha and the Manhattan soda, which are very well crafted. The Rooh Afza matcha balances the sweetness of the syrup and the flavor of the matcha. The Manhattan was really refreshing and delicious and not overly sweet. Definitely worth checking out and I will be planning on working there from time to time!

So I decided I wanted a little something sweet, and since I'm a coffee lover, I decided to try Cube Coffee. First, the space itself was gorgeous, and I love that they're open until midnight--perfect for late-night coffee runs! That said, there were a few things that could have made the experience smoother:* Taking customer names when ordering would help identify whose drink is whose.* It should be explained that the chai is batched and not made to order, so milk substitutions aren't available.* When swapping out drinks and adjusting charges, the pricing should be double-checked for accuracy. I could tell the employee taking orders was new, so hopefully these are things that improve with time. I also accidentally picked up the wrong drink and held it for over a minute. The barista asked if I drank from it, and after I said no, it was placed back on the pickup counter--which made me a little uneasy. As for the drinks, I ordered the Mango Matcha with oat milk and a cake pop. The matcha was $7 and the cake pop was $4.50. Personally, I wasn't overly impressed for the price point, but the atmosphere was definitely the highlight of the visit. Overall: Beautiful space, great hours, but the service and value could use a little work.

    Madani Latte
    Salma C.

Maybe it was the drink I got, the Madani latte, but I wasn't the biggest fan. I will give this place another shot with either Matcha or another coffee drink. The interior is incredible and I love the vibe and location of this place. Howard County really needed a good, local coffee shop like this and I'm so glad this was made. I expected my latte to have a date flavor due to the date syrup. Even though I asked for less sugar (half of the portion) it was still too sweet and all I tasted was cinnamon if anything ...the coffee also tasted odd to me. I went on a weekend kind of around 6 PM but the service was very slow. It took a long time to get my drink which I did not mind but other customers got irritated. I will give this place another try, but I was a little disappointed unfortunately.

This was such a great surprise of a coffee shop. When you arrive it looks as though it is a small hole in the wall because you walk down some stairs to the door, but it is spacious, bright, variety of seating, and welcoming. The menu was exciting because of such different variety of specialty drinks. They have the standard coffee drinks, but the specialty ones are just very different than your average coffee shop. The Madani latte that I got had date and some other ingredients and it was just fun to drink. I looked forward to every sip. Everyone I was with also loved their drinks. I will definitely be going back.

Sucuk Pogaca and Iced Madani Latte

So glad I took the time to check this place out! I've been seeing great things on social media about this new cafe and it lived up to the hype. The cafe is very large and has a lot of great seating options, from stand alone tables, to floor mats, to cubical style booths. Open, communal, and natural lighting add to the calming ambiance of the cafe. You can either order with a barista or on a tablet, and I got the iced Madani latte (date syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla) and a Sucak Pogaca (beef sausage bread roll). The barista was kind enough to recommend her favorite Pogaca because I was unfamiliar with the pastry. Both were delicious, the pastry was warmed up without me asking and the latte was smooth, sweet, and delicious. I sat inside and did some work on my laptop, and they had the world cup game playing on a large tv inside as well. 10/10 I will be back for the cozy vibes and delectable bites.

    Mango matcha latte
    Jazzy R.

Love this place! Tons of cute, cozy sitting options. Beautiful booths, and cushions for floor tables. The drink options all looked so good we had a hard time choosing! We both ended up getting the Matcha latte with mango cream top ($8) which is a current seasonal option. It was sweetened with a house-made vanilla syrup. It was delicious! The matcha and mango worked so well together and the mango was so fresh. Good sized glasses. The employees were super nice and friendly. Definitely need to go back to try other matcha and drink options!

Clean, spacious environment with a variety of drinks and bakery items to choose from. There's a cute little couch area and a sunny window spot to sit and enjoy your beverages at. Staff is respectful and quick.

I got the mandani date iced latte and would highly recommend! It was so good, perfect level of sweetness for me. Service was great, they even brought out the drink to where I was sitting. Lots of available seating and outlets as well. I like that they're open late.

Charming little (well, larger space than you'd think!) cafe, tucked out of the way behind a large shopping center. They opened very recently and there's perhaps a little chaos in the ordering while staff and customers find their footing, but the cardamom latte and slice of honey cake I got were really lovely; quite sweet for sure, but a nice change from more common coffee shop fare. Not to mention the interior is gorgeous! Lots of seating options, from tables to high tops to soft floor seating around a few low tables on a raised platform. Definitely worth seeking out! I can't wait to come back again and see how they grow.

Wonderful service, delicious latte and zen vibes. Cube coffee was the perfect spot for my break after a local business meeting. I'll be back!

I was really disappointed with my experience here. The only positive thing I can say is that the café is aesthetically pleasing and has a nice atmosphere for studying or working. Unfortunately, that's where the good things end. The coffee and matcha were both extremely watered down. The espresso tasted like milk, ice, and a hint of coffee color rather than an actual espresso-based drink. The matcha was just as bad--mostly ice, milk, and color, with almost no real matcha flavor. For the prices they charge, the quality was honestly unacceptable. The service was equally disappointing. The staff came across as rude and uninterested. When I politely asked if they could add a little more sweetener to my drink, I was met with attitude and told, "You could have done that when you were ordering." It felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Overall, the café looks great, but the drinks and customer service do not match the prices. If you're looking for a quiet, aesthetic place to sit and study, it might work for that. But I would recommend skipping the food and drinks and spending your money elsewhere.

It took a while for the flight to be prepared because I think they're a little bit shortstaffed on a Monday morning, but they had a lot of comfortable places to sit and wait. The corn beef sandwich came out good and I mentioned it was simple because it's literally just corn beef with some white bread and some cheese, but it was actually pretty tasty for breakfast. The coffee flight came out and it's on a large paddle and it looked really delicious. I have to say the regular flavored lattes and the croissant weren't my favorite choices, but as I started moving down the paddleboard towards flavored lattes and the Blondi bar, it was pretty good. My favorite latte was the butter beer and my favorite pastry actually turned out to be the Blondie brownie bar. The inside has enough seating for about 50 people and it's really cutely decorated. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the mood for a coffee after a day of shopping in Ellicott city.

There were 6 of us, and they were able to put two tables together to accommodate us. I was overall disappointed with the food. The waffle which I paid $5 for was super small and there were just chunks of sugar in it. I also ordered scrambled eggs with spinach and cheese. The spinach came out on the side of the eggs and was uncooked. The cheese was not melted, and the eggs were burnt (dark brown and dry). The waitress was kind enough to take the eggs back for the cheese and spinach to be mixed/melted. They were still burnt and flavorless. I picked around and ate what I could. I also ordered some kind of spinach and feta pastry from the front case, which was good. We also all enjoyed the homefries which were crispy with a unique seasoning. We ordered the stuffed french toast which had a great flavor, but it wasn't really stuffed, there were just toppings on it. My nephew ordered the chicken and waffles. He's 15. I'm guessing that waitress assumed he was a kid and gave him the kids portion. Either way, the fried chicken looked like two pieces of frozen chicken schnitzel. My mother ordered the Reuben and did not like it at all because it lacked flavor.
