Like: Both Dr. Pashley & Dr. Baum are extremely friendly and great orthodontists. Dr. Pashley has been in the business a while- he even did my mom's braces back in the 70s. Dr. Baum is newer to the practice but is a former Navy dentist (which I can relate to as a veteran). The office staff is super nice and not pushy at all about what treatments you decide to go with. I wish I could give Baum Orthodontics in Irvine more than 5 stars!! The staff is amazing, friendly, professional and refreshingly pleasant. Today was our first visit. One of the brackets on my son's braces needed to be replaced, even though Dr. Baum did not initial install the braces, they were able to assist. Anthony took images of my son and when he returned he raved about how nice Anthony was. As I waited for our services I observed one tech. (female, I don't know her name) work on a young girl. Her "bed side manor" was simple yet amazing. She explained everything she was doing, keeping the patient very comfortable and at ease. She complemented the young lady on how well she had been maintaining her oral hygiene and encouraged her to keep "working on her points". Our tech was equally accommodating and friendly. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and just down right pleasant. Dr. Baum was friendly, professional and very kind. My family and I will definitely patronize Baum Orthodontics in the future!! Was referred here for an expander for my now 6 year old son. Have had nothing but a good experience so far. We are at the very beginning of the process. The staff is extremely friendly and so far very helpful when I come in with my 3 kids, which can be a handful. Thee treatment was fairly priced and everything has been a smooth process so far. 2/14/18: New Office in Tustin = sooooo cool! I've never seen anything like it, I love it! ================= My oldest daughter and I are former patients of Dr. Baum and my youngest daughter is a current patient. I am very happy with the results of our orthodontic treatments and Dr. Baum is very kind and friendly. On occasion my daughters would have a problem with an uncomfortable wire and I have never had a problem getting in for a last minute appointment. Our regular appointments are always timely and efficient with the assembly line of patient chairs. But Dr. Baum, the technicians and front office staff don't skimp on making you feel welcome and comfortable with a friendly chat. At my daughter's last visit she mentioned an upcoming summer trip and soon after she received the cutest drawing and note in the mail wishing her a bon voyage (attaching picture of note). Can you think of ANY office who has done something this adorable? Dr. Baum and the administration are very nice. Most of the work is done by techs. Although I'm sure they are competent, it would be nicer if my child saw the doctor more. My biggest complaint is that this practice is too successful, to the point that appointments must be made far in advance and patients need to rotate between school hours and non school hours. They have another location in Tustin, which is more heavily used. It seems to me that because orthodontic treatment follows a standard procedure which techs can do, it would be better to find another less busy practice which is more flexible about appointments, because there will be a lot of appts, especially for multiple kids. Overall, a friendly staff but a hassle for to set appts for regular visits. read more
