I had a situation that occurred under the previous ownership. It stemmed from a botched job by a major retailer. These guys were able to get me in super fast, we're very polite and didn't try to tell me a bunch of extra things were wrong with my car (which is hard to find as a woman. if you are a woman then you understand), and I was satisfied with the price I paid. Took my car in for a brake fluid flush in March and have been meaning to write about my positive experience here. I had been looking for a new shop to take care of my m240i and was willing to make the drive out from Napa to give this place a try based on its positive reviews. I called to make an appointment and got quoted a very fair price for the work. The shop is actually located just down the street from the Santa Rosa BMW dealership and I can't believe that I had not been taking my car here all this time - I would have saved money on service and wouldn't have had to worry about my car not being taken care of properly. Bringing the car in felt like it was friend's garage and I knew that it was in good hands. I'm very particular about my car and didn't mind that they took it on a road test after the fluid flush to make sure everything was okay. I always, always deny the normal BMW dealership's "road test" when I used to take it to them because I didn't know if it would end up just being an unsupervised joy ride. So, upon getting my BMW 02 330i two years ago, I asked a good friend of mine who works in the automotive industry (who happens to be a BMW fanatic) where I should go to get my car fixed up. He immediately suggested Bavarian Performance. He told me it's where he takes his car whenever he needs anything, and even gave me a little bit of a background of the guys who run it (info privy to being in the trade). Long story short, as long as I have my BMW and live in the area I won't be going anywhere else. My list of work done goes: Maaaaany oil changes, brake sensors replaced, broken lock tumbler replaced, new electronic key ordered and coded, both kidneys replaced, air boot filter and water pump replaced, and brake pads replaced. For BMW, their charge rate and labor costs seem to be cheaper then when I used to get my old Pontiac worked on! They're flexible with my schedule, they get done with the job in the exact time frame given every time. They give me complete diagnostics lists of the status of the rest of the car and let me know what to watch in the future. The kicker for me was when I came in expecting to pay $500+ for a bunch of stuff I wanted done at once because that was the estimate. First thing Dave (owner) says to me is "Well, it took less time than we initially estimated so the price is $50 lower than estimated." He didn't have to tell me that at all, I had already agreed to the estimate. Point being I've done business elsewhere where I know they wouldn't have been that honest with me. read more

Replacing parts and clearing codes is something anyone can do. This procedure didn't repair my car after multiple times being left there to my inconvenience. Time and money were spent without results and they'll ignore you in hopes of you going away. The job is still unfinished and David went as far as disconnecting my head light blaming a wire on the emissions system. Well i fixed it my self and reconnected the wire. I wouldn't recommend this place for ANY troubleshooting. Maybe an oil change bur even then they were a qrt too low after being given the proper amount. A brand new part was replaced and upon request of it...somehow it disappeared and was never returned to me. Good place for gullible people to take their bmw. read more
