Only 2 out of 5.....they started out good when the restaurant was opened but the quality and service as dropped very quickly in just 1 months time. Biryani quality and taste has dropped, not enough spices are added and the spice level is only mild all the time, no matter what you request for. One of our go to places in Fort Collins. Tonight we had a bit of an issue and when we brought it to the servers attention, they were very helpful. The manager, I suppose, came and talked with us expressing her apology and compensated us accordingly. They handled it well and were very kind. The food was okay, but the service was quite slow. We got it as a carryout meal but it still took well over an hour. It wasnt a weekend or anything so I dont know why it took that long. We ordered takeout from Bawarchi thru GrubHub. We got the Tandori mixed platter, Dal Tadka, Butter chicken, garlic naan, and vegetable samosas. We had some issues (ordered 2 servings of butter chicken and received 1), but the issue was with the GrubHub driver and not the restaurant. The restaurant was very kind when we called and went above and beyond to try to make it right. I tried every dish listed above and all were delicious. The butter chicken and dal tadka are spicy and great. The garlic naan was delicious and orders are large! The samosas I didn't think I'd like, but we're crunchy and flaky. The tandoori meats were very tender and flavorful. I am holding back one star for the amount of chicken in the butter chicken. There were two pieces. Two BITE SIZED pieces. The sauce is terrific and over rice is very filling, but when ordering a dish with chicken in the name I kind of wanted more than two bites. Coming from a person who literally never has Indian food in my wheelhouse, I felt like I needed to bite the bullet, and at least try it from somewhere I hear rave reviews about (only experience has been samosa and a chicken masala that I did not enjoy,) so I have to say Indian food, while expertly executed and clearly these guys/gals know what they are doing, it is still something I just don't enjoy as much as pretty much everyone else in the world does. I wish I did, but it's ok, I'm satisfied with that, and I did enjoy what I had, but I digress. First off, the staff was out of this world accommodating, answered any questions I had, pointed me in the right direction, and were prompt and kind. My boyfriend and I shared the Manchurian baby corn appetizer and it was PHENOMENAL. Lightly battered, fried, and served in a sweet/spicy chili sauce topped with spring onions. I could seriously eat an entire bucket of this it was THAT good. For my entree I got the paneer tikka masala. Wow....perfect little cubes of mild, almost like mozzarella in a spicy tomato and cream sauce. The sauce was velvety and full of cardamom, ginger, cinnamon (I think?) and other delicious spices. This was served with white steamed rice and was very filling. I had a little bit of palate confusion as these spices are generally used in sweet applications in my world so it was a bit of a surprise at first, but I throughly enjoyed this and ate every last bite. We also got a side of buttered naan, and it was quite literally perfect. Soft and pillowy with little spots of crispy black char. Absolute perfection On that one. All in all, if you're a newbie like me, or if your a seasoned Indian food expert, this place is not to be missed. Of the limited items I had, they were all pretty delicious so I'm sure folks who know more about the cuisine than I do would adore this place. Seriously the best Indian food I've ever eaten. If not the best food I've ever eaten. I just asked the waitress to order me whatever and I can absolutely amazing food. They ask you what heat level you like so if you don't like really spicy can go down if you like spicy you can go up in the heat level. We got an appetizer that was some sort of a fish that was absolutely amazing and you got one of those dishes that was also have solutely anything and a chicken dish that was like they said it was like an Indian. My favorite Indian restaurant in Fort Collins! Everything is tasty. The food is spicier than many Indian restaurants around, which is fine with me! They have plenty of vegetarian options for me, and great meat options as well for my husband. The biryanis are what they are known for and are really flavorful. You also get A LOT when you order a biryani dish. I usually get the ulavacharu veg biryani or channa masala. My husband normally gets the lamb korma, but has also enjoyed the chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, and butter chicken. We also often get either the samosa or one of the gobi appetizers (usually gobi Manchurian but sometimes chili gobi), and both are also great!! And, while they're not our usual, we've also enjoyed the dal tadka, guthi vankaya, and the paneer tikka masala. It's our favorite take-out option in Fort Collins for a quick and awesome meal! read more

This is excellent Indian. Rare to find a place that makes good Masalla Dosas and these are as good as it gets. Tandoori chicken delicious and goat curry very good. went here twice, in space of 3 days, first time i ordered idly vada , and dosa, vada and dosa were not properly cooked, but they replaced the dosa with the new cooked one. Next trip ordered Paneer Chilli which was very bad and then they replaced it with another item we chose, which was ok.
