I have ordered here before and enjoyed the food. However this time, I ordered the Mutton Mughlai for pick up and when I got home, I found that more than half of my meal was bones and cartilage. I understand these meals usually have bone-in cooking and if there was a couple pieces of bone I would have no problem. However I barely got 3 chunks of meat and the rest was bone chunks, bone shards, and cartilage. I don't understand how they could serve this without at least checking. I really try to be positive in bad meal experiences but it's hard when you are afraid of choking on a bone shard with every bite. They have good food in general but I doubt I will go back again due to this experience. read more

Ok. First of all, this is BY FAR the best indian in Fort Collins.... Hands down (hence the 4 star review). However, the portions were small. We ordered two entrees (ordered the vindaloo spicy and it was not, I should be sweating if I specifically ask for *hot* vindaloo), one appetizer, garlic naan and had about half a serving of leftovers. We also ordered a Taj Mahal to share which arrived room temperature. We thought, you know, they are a new restaurant so lets cut them some slack and order a draft beer instead... You can't mess that up, except they did when they only filled them 3/4 of the way for $5 each. Service was disorganized but friendly, probably just working out some kinks in the service department... We will come back for sure but not nearly as often as we would if the portions were proportional to the price tag. read more

Seriously the most impressive Indian food we've had since leaving North Carolina. Everything perfectly balanced and spiced. If you prefer more mild food, I would recommend sticking with the dishes that offer that option. We LOVE spicy Indian food, so we kicked it up. Bhagara Bhaigan was great. Rarely is the food I order spicy enough for me, but today I ordered just spicy instead of very spicy (trying to tone it down some). I'm glad I went with just spicy! I've only recently started dining at this location a few times now. The chicken tikka masala is full body flavor and fantastic I'm comparison to a couple other upscale locations. Just wished it had a little bit more chicken in it. They are also relatively fast in preparations as well, which is nice for take out. The Naan was also very well flavored. Most of the time I would get takeout, but the times I ate in were great. There is a nice atmosphere with great customer service and a knowledgeable​ staff. They are always kind and accommodating​. The biryanis and chicken manchurian are wonderful and full of flavor, and paneer tikka masala is to die for. The sauce is so creamy, buttery, and has just the amount of spice and heat I want. The only thing I will say is that the nan is sometimes burnt and overdone. However, most of the time it is great. Now that I have moved away I have yet to find anything as good as Bawarchi. I ate here because I really wanted to try star of India but they closed in the afternoon and I was here from out of town so couldn't wait for dinner. I am glad I ended up here. Where I lived there are no indian restaurants and I was craving it. The samosas here weren't my favorite but were good. I got the butter chicken and it was great, just what I wanted. I also got the mango lasse which was also good. Nice on the inside, bigger than it looked from outside. And there were Indian people eating there (who did not seem to know the staff) , always a good sign. I will definitely go here again if I get the chance. read more

Only 2 out of 5.....they started out good when the restaurant was opened but the quality and service as dropped very quickly in just 1 months time. Biryani quality and taste has dropped, not enough spices are added and the spice level is only mild all the time, no matter what you request for.
