We had another company come out last week to look at our broken AC and charged $500 for a diagnosis and 4 pounds of freon just for it to stop working about a week and a half later. We were also told that there was a critical leak in the evaporator coil and that it would need to be replaced ASAP by the previous company. After looking on NextDoor for recommendations, I saw Bay Area AC Heating & Plumbing and saw great reviews online for them so we decided to try them out. This was by far the best outcome we could have asked for. They told us a tech would be out between 12-4 and Jose came about 2. He quickly diagnosed our situation, which was far less drastic than the last company had told us. We were ready to spend thousands in repairs from what was previously explained to us, but Bay Area's fee to come out on a Sunday was about $80+ and he said he wasn't able to unclog the drainage pipes (the REAL issue that was missed before) so he went and got the parts quickly and rerouted our drainage pipes so that it wouldn't be an issue going forward. Overall, we only ended up paying $439 for his trip out, parts, and labor. He was EXTREMELY professional and we had an amazing experience with them! Thank you SO MUCH to Bay Area AC Heating & Plumbing and to Jose Herrera for getting this fixed so promptly and affordably! If I could give 10 stars I would! We looked for Cody at his previous place of business. He had done a great job for my mom right after her husband died. No one at that number answered. After a google search we finally found him at Bay Area. We're so glad we did. My mom needed him to take care of a water heater problem. He had a full schedule that day but he still fit us in late in the evening after he finished his other clients. He was right on schedule, knew the problem, and took care of it quickly and efficiently. He had to wait for the water heater to drain so he offered to clean the bathtub drain while we were waiting. Was referred by Texas Best when he didn't have any availability until later in the day, instead of leaving me without A/C for the better part of the day, Bay Area showed up within the hour and went through the entire system and showed me that I had just overlooked a simple switch, and then cleaned the unit for me and gave me maintenance tips to keep it running efficiently, checked freon levels as well as the rest of the system. Could have very well made up some bs diagnosis to get money, but instead stayed honest and provided great customer service. Can't thank y'all enough for the service. Cody and his crew replaced my A/C heating system and ducts this week and I was completely satisfied with the whole process. I had three estimates for the job and they came in thousands of dollars less for comparable systems and installation. Cody even informed us of a CenterPoint rebate the others did not mention. We're in a brand new development so no one around us has needed AC, heating, or plumbing help - until this weekend, when our AC began working intermittently. Cody was accommodating in the times he could make the service call, he arrived promptly, was able to diagnose the problem, determined that the AC was still under warranty, fixed the issue, did a check on other potential problem areas, and was on his way. This is the way it's supposed to go -- but, unfortunately, in this day and age, with service calls you can often feel ripped-off, rather than you've gotten your money's worth. Cody offered to come out within 1 hour to give us an estimate. He was completely honest, on time and forthright during the entire process. We have been dealing with our home warranty company and they would not do anything to help us. Cody's honesty and integrity was a breath of fresh air during our frustration with 100+ temperatures. We ended up deciding to buy a new system and he even called us later the night of the install to make sure we were happy and that the AC was cooling. We were looking for an a/c company to replace our HVAC system, which was very old and in need of updating. I asked neighbors, and made some calls and was not impressed by the companies I found that way, then I took to the internet to do some research. I was discouraged because I found so many companies with either bad reviews, or no reviews at all, then I ran across Bay Area A/C, Heating and Plumbing. I was amazed to not only find a lot of reviews for them but, every review was 5 stars, so I called and found out why. Cody and one of his A/C guys came out and spent an hour looking in the attic and around the house trying to find the best solution for a new HVAC system for us, which wasn't easy because the house is old and small, so size of equipment was a challenge. He asked me about what I wanted and and went to his truck and put together some quotes for me, right then and there. I picked the option I wanted and we scheduled the for the next week to do the installation. They did a fantastic job, the system is beautiful and worth every penny! Cody is very knowledgeable, nice, and genuine, he went out of his way to make sure everything was just right and that we were happy. He even hooked us up with a good electrician to help us with having some electrical work done.
