After sharing the history of ac issues , Daryl went to into the attic and traced to find the issue. It has been corrected!!!! Daryls put in two new systems a few years ago and one started to not cool properly. I called at 9:30pm and actually was able to talk to a "live" person to get an appointment for the next day! The technician was able to get to me earlier and totally changed out a defective fan motor!! BEST PART WAS IT WAS ALL UNDER WARRANTY AND DARYLS HAD THE RECORDS ON FILE. NO CHARGE NO HASSLE. My wife and I were complaining recently that companies don't care about customers anymore. We do our part. We pay the full price for the service yet companies only seem to do the bare minimum in return. Daryl's A/C and Heating gave us a much needed reprieve from the bare minimum approach. Daryl sent two guys out to fix my issue. They were unable to fix the problem as it was a plumbing issue. However, after the guys got back to the shop Daryl had them turn around and come back out to my place. He instructed them to reroute a drain line so that we could use the AC until we could clear the clogged pipe, at which point they'll come back out to route the lines in the normal manner. He did what he didn't have to do. Now I'll do what I don't have to do, which is to continue using Daryl and his guys, and telling anyone who needs AC and Heating repairs about them. read more

Very happy with the end results of my ac units. Was disappointed that the area wasn't measured and prepped ahead of time. The size of the units were bigger than the current pads. Was even more disappointed that the worker was going to leave it and thought it was "fine" rigged up the way he did. I had to call the owner Daryl who promised satisfaction and held true to his word. We recently bought our home and had Daryl's come out to do a check of our HVAC system. My son's room was warmer than the rest of the house, so they put in a new return vent and said it would be good. They also did some ductwork up in the attic to make sure it was all functioning properly. A week or so goes by and my son's room is still too hot. We had a supervisor come out to check it, and he was FURIOUS, stating that the original guys who came out did a "half a** job". He informed the owner and had his lead installer come out to correct everything. Supposedly after the lead installer left, everything was good. Well, we are still having issues with temperature differences in my son's room and wanted to get our gas heating system checked before the winter comes, so we decided to call our a different company since my husband no longer has much trust in Daryl's. The technician from the other company came out today and took pictures to show me the problems he encountered with the ductwork. He said whoever did the ductwork did a "crappy job", and showed me pictures of taped up/rigged ductwork, ductwork that has holes in in, and ductwork that is full of insulation...so much that it's packed in there. He said Daryl's definitely would have seen this when they did our AC service, but apparently didn't do anything about it. So now we are going to have to pay more money to have everything done correctly. I am very disappointed in Daryl's and will not be recommending them in the future. read more

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Our A/C went out last night (7/2). We called Daryl's AC & Heating early this a.m. We left a message and Daryl promptly called back. He told us his guys would be at our house between 12:00 and 2:00. Waylon and Jordan showed up around 1:15. They encouraged me to join them outside at the A/C unit and they could tell me in three to five minutes what the issue was. They immediately saw that we had a bad capacitor. They had the replacement parts with them and replaced the capacitor. They then proceeded to hose down our filthy unit. Both Waylon and Jordan were super nice and very professional. My husband was at work today, so I was home alone. I felt very comfortable with Waylon and Jordan at my house. They were here and had our A/C up and running in 45 minutes. The one thing I can say about Houston is that AC is necessary!! Yesterday our AC unit went out and it was a very hot 24 hours. We called Darryl AC to ask for help. From the time we called until the issue was resolved, my husband and I were blown away by their professionalism! Michael and Eric came out to service our unit. They were prompt, professional and added some much needed humor to a difficult day! This is the second time we've used Darryl. We had good work from Daryl's A/C in the past. We called, this month, for a dripping drain pan in our condo. They had installed the inside unit a few years ago. We thought they would be best to fix it this time. However, the day after the technician left the dripping was at least twice as bad. All calls to the office either go to voicemail or when we get an answer they promise to call back but do not. We've been calling for three days trying to schedule a tech to no avail. We've given up and called another company. Very unhappy. read more

One of my A/C units went out. They showed up when they said they would and found the problem. They fixed that problem (a breaker blew and sparked a small fire outside) and while they were there, they checked the other A/C unit and found it had been wired incorrectly and fixed that for me. My new home started having AC issues the first year I moved in. The installer could not figure out the problem. This summer the AC stopped cooling completely. Daryl sent over Waylon & Blake. My A/C stopped cooling so I called Daryl's late in the day yesterday. I was worried that it was my capacitor, because the last company that I had out to clean and do maintenance service (in June) said that my capacitor was going bad. Daryl answered, and he was very helpful. Michael came out within 20 minutes of my call. He found that both my main and secondary pans were filled with drain water. My drains were totally clogged. (So the former company did not do a good job in June, if they even cleaned the lines at all). Not only that, my capacitor is fine. The former company wanted $500 to change my capacitor (so glad I didn't do that with them). IF it had been a bad capacitor, Daryl's was only going to charge $200 to replace it based on my unit's size. Wow! What a difference! Anyway, Michael checked EVERYTHING out, inside and out, cleaned the lines well and had it cooling again for a great price. My parents also needed a good plumber, so I asked Michael and he referred a great plumber who went out to my parent's house that same day and fixed their problem for a reasonable price. Our AC quit working on a 100 degree day, after reading the reviews on Yelp and our neighborhood app, I called Daryl's AC, it was late in the afternoon so I understood they may not have a tech available. Daryl said he would have someone there the next morning. Promptly the next morning Dave and Erik showed up and introduced themselves, both very polite men. After troubleshooting the AC they found an issue showed it to me and explained what the problem was, they replaced the part and we were back in business. I've used other AC companies and none of them ever took the time to explain what they found, just that I need a new AC and tried up selling us one when I knew there wasn't much wrong with our. Called Daryl's AC & Heating to troubleshoot my system last week due to inefficient cooling. Daryl was able to have a crew out to my house in a timely manner and they promptly figured out the problem which was a faulty evaporator coil. Today his crew came out and installed the new coil, float switch, and pan and even though I winced at the total cost of the repair, I will definitely call them in the future. His crew was polite, worked hard in the heat, and seemed to know what they were doing. As a side note, even though I felt the charge was a little high, I did not bother with getting a second quote for the job because based on previous reviews here on yelp and through my interactions with his crew, I was confident that they would do the job right the first time. Absolute worst experience I have ever had! This company has done nothing but yank our chain. First (that's right - first!) time they came to our home the technician spent about 15minutes (mostly talking) and told us a setting for the fan was wrong and we needed more freon. The AC worked for about 2 hours. Second visit with a different technician he was here maybe 5-10minutes said they put to much freon in the system and he removed some (NO REFUND) this "fix" lasted about 2-3hours. Called the direct line and was advised someone would be out same day. Called the direct line EVERY DAY FOR FIVE DAYS! When we finally did get a callback they sent the second technician back (THIRD TIME!) who said we had to replace the thermostat because it somehow changed itself to program even though we've had this thermostat for months and adjust our AC every morning and evening and NEVER had a problem because it wasn't set to program. They said we had to replace the thermostat or they couldn't do anything AC didn't even last an hour that time. That was four days ago and we have yet to receive a call back despite calling every day. Now we have to pay a new company to do a job that has yet to be done right by Daryl's AC and Heating. The new technician thoroughly checked our system and found the problem and has quickly started to repair it. I paid Daryl's AC and Heating for nothing! read more
