We recently completed a whole kitchen remodel using Bay Area Cabinet Supply for our cabinets. I originally planned to reface our old cabinets or do IKEA cabinets with updated fronts from companies like Semihandmade, but ultimately found Bay Area Cabinet Supply to make more sense in terms of pricing, quality and time investment during the planning and design process. I walked through Bay Area Cab's Dublin showroom a few times to confirm they have cabinet styles and colors I liked, and the employees were very accommodating in letting me check out cabinet door samples to see in my actual kitchen. I'm so glad I did that, because the color we originally wanted ended up looking dingy in our northern facing kitchen. We went with their Icy Avalanche color, which is a cool toned grey, and have never loved anything more! The design and estimate process was simple and likely less time consuming than even wading through the IKEA kitchen designer yourself. Chrissy was patient, professional and very knowledgeable and made sure every detail was handled to perfection. She even hopped on the phone with our contractor a couple times to make sure every measurement was exactly correct. But her excellent customer service really came into play after our cabinets were delivered and we discovered an issue--due to a slant in our kitchen floors that weren't accounted for in our original measurements, our crown molding wouldn't fit! She and her sister, who heads their other branch, redesigned and supplied a new molding quickly so that our remodel wouldn't be too behind schedule. And if that wasn't enough, when my contractor mis-installed a drawer, Chrissy replaced the broken pieces for me immediately. For just the customer service level alone, I'm so glad I went with Bay Area Cabs. There are already so many small things that can go wrong in a kitchen remodel, and I was so glad to have the cabinets be headache-free! Finally, the quality of the cabinets is amazing. We've been in our new kitchen for about 6 months now and are happy to report that all our cabinets, drawers, shelves and doors are working perfectly. One of the reasons I chose BAC is because I could tell that Christine is a great listener. She listened to me and helped me to figure out what I wanted. Then she had TONS of ways to implement my dream kitchen once she knew what I wanted without ever being pushy. I absolutely love our kitchen island that Christine designed. Our kitchen is on the smaller side and I did not want the island to be too big for it, yet we all want a giant island, right? I did a ton of research before purchasing cabinets and choosing Bay Area Cabinets was the BEST decision of my entire remodel. Let's start with the fact that this is business is owned by two women who come from a law enforcement family. While that increased my comfort level, it was my first interaction with Christine that gave me a 150% confidence to move forward. In fact, my experience with Bay Area Cabinets was the best because of Christine! It started with the day we laid out my kitchen when her computer was down. She utilized one of her employees from the San Leandro location to put my kitchen on the system and then had that person fax over my layout. I appreciated her creativity and sense of urgency that day because I was limited on time. From the initial order, all the way through the entire process, Christine was on point every step of the way. I had a cabinet front with a small chip and she replaced it right away. The manufacturer sent the wrong facing end cap and again, she was all over it! But most importantly, I was so impressed with her design/recommendations and my kitchen is stunning! I had purchased the wrong size sink and she caught that early in the process, which was so appreciated. My contractor fell out early in the project so I was on my own, but was so thankful for Christine who coached and guided me. I have to tell you, I have a very high bar and Christine exceeded my expectations... the service she provided was exceptional and I had an amazing experience!!! We had originally gone to Lowes and Home Depot thinking they'd be the best pricing. We also shopped around at custom cabinet places and it seemed rather uninspired. Then we came here and couldn't have been happier with the service and products provided by Chrissy and her team. The showroom isn't huge but she has an example of almost everything possible so she can show you various options right on site. The best part is that unlike a big box store where you're in the middle of a floor with hundreds of people asking questions, here you get a 1-on-1 appointment and no disruptions. we had an infant so being in Lowes was a disaster, wife's breast feeding, speaker overhead constantly looking for someone to come to the front, people interrupting us. With Chrissy it's like being in a law office, beautiful desk with samples and a showroom right there to show you what you will get. She carrie's various lines from ultra fancy custom to budget cabinets and everything in between. Most impressive was her knowledge of all the minute details that you need to watch out for. We did have one piece show up incorrectly sized which was not her fault, mis-shipment, but she had a new cabinet here in less than two weeks so the project could keep moving along. My wife and I were beginning a full kitchen and family room remodel and were out looking for cabinets. We checked out several places ranging from the cheaper cabinets from China, to the fully custom cabinets that are significantly more expensive. Cabinetry is a significant cost when remodeling a kitchen so we wanted to make sure we made the right decision in picking the right dealer and brand. We live in Danville and were going for a quality cabinet that would match the quality of the high end kitchen we were doing but we had a budget and needed to stay within a reasonable range when it came to our cabinet costs. My wife was referred to Bay Area Cabinet Supply so we made an appointment with them and drove to San Leandro to take a look. They had a small showroom that displayed some of the brands and styles they carry and they sat down with us to discuss options. What I really liked is that they had instructed us how to measure our walls prior to the appointment so we were able to come kick around some rough layouts on the first meeting. In my opinion all of the cabinets they carry are very good quality, and i'd classify their cabinets as mid to high end, semi-custom cabinetry. To me this translated into getting cabinetry that we could tweak to our layout needs for a fraction of what you pay for a full custom cabinet set-up. They did have a higher line of cabinetry that was out of my price range that was fully customizable. The first meeting went well and they told us that they had recently opened up a showroom in Dublin which was much closer to our home so all follow up appointments we went to Dublin. After getting comfortable with the quality level we were going for as well as door types and color, we worked with Chrissy on our layout. We spent several appointments with Chrissy as we were constantly tweaking our plans. I was very impressed with her professionalism and willingness to tweak the layout, answer questions, and provide advice when asked. It was quite a process, but i enjoyed it and I learned a lot. I never knew how much work goes into taking a blank slate (empty room) and laying it out to make the most visually appealing and functional kitchen layout. Chrissy put in hours on our layout before we committed to buying anything. We are now done with construction and we love our new kitchen. The cabinetry is excellent and Bay Area Cabinetry stood behind the product. A couple of cabinets came damaged from the shipper and they sent us news ones immediately. This is a family business and I enjoyed working with them and appreciated their honesty and professionalism. My family and I had been planning a remodel and then everything went sideways as a result of the pandemic.
