I have used Bay Area Tech Hero twice in the last month to resolve problems on my iMac. I was scheduled within one day of my request and found the service to be efficient, prompt and of the highest quality. Joe installed a system called Eero, which has solved all of our WiFi problems. Hallelujah! He also reconnected my Sonos system that had suddenly stopped working a year ago. Best of all, I do not feel like a computer illiterate when working with Joe. I am so pleased with Bay Area Tech Hero. The person, Roberto, who came to the family house and installed a WiFi mesh network was fantastic. He was personable, professional, patient, and explained everything that he was doing. I was so impressed that I made another appointment with him to upgrade my lousy Deco system to the newer Eero system that Bay Area Tech Hero uses and what a huge difference it made with the WiFi. It was a thousand times better, not only did I end up with much better coverage upstairs even with the lath and plaster walls but the new Eero system was able to extend the WiFi to the downstairs bedroom, something the Deco system could never do. I was having trouble doing my daily Zoom calls, as I work remotely in tech. I couldn't get my wifi to cooperate so as to not have my meetings interrupted by bandwidth. I was introduced to these folks by a colleague and I had them come out. They installed a mesh wifi network and then tuned it so it would work with my funky home configuration. Things are assume now. Best service ever! I had a home printer that didn't print and a scanner that didn't scan. Seemed like such a minor issue I was afraid I would never get anyone to come to the house. It was easy to make contact and set up an in- house visit the very next day. Hey Palo Alto...High Speed Fiber has arrived. Yay! But wait, not so fast. I was happy to jump on it right away, not realizing that in my house, at least, Wi-Fi and devices would need to be reconfigured. It would not do anything about Wi-Fi dead spots in my house, nor dead spots for my cell phone. Struggling with "do it yourself" ATT extenders, and then Google Mesh to solve that problem was fruitless. "Plug and Play" became "Plug and Pray" and DIY became Don't DIY. "Let's find an expert" was the next conversation. Luckily, we found Ari at Bay Area Tech Hero. I am used to dealing with different service vendors of all kinds. Bay Area Tech Hero was clearly one of the best. Starting from the first telephone call, offering reassurance and confidence, right through to the very end of the service call with a most successful installation. Everything was completed with excellence while also  listening to what we the customer had to say.  The appointment was for 9 AM. Rob showed up at 9 AM exactly.  He surveyed our house, answered our questions told us exactly what he was going to do. I found Bay Area Tech Hero by searching for home network installers and made a call which was picked up Ari Laquidara. Ari, understood that I wanted to get rid of Google meshed WiFi devices and replace them with Ubiquity WiFi6 back haul enabled APs. Ari scheduled an appointment within the next 2 days and Rob Mercado came over on the day of the appointment on time. Rob did a phenomenal job in using the Ubiquity Pro switches that I provided along with Ubiquity Dream Machine Pro Firewall/router. Rob got everything working and within 3 hours we were on ubiquity APs. Rob however was not happy with the cabling cleanliness so he worked with me and Ari to schedule another appointment. During the second appointment Rob got all the cables cleaned up and they look fabulous. After the service was done I made a configuration error which brought down the WiFi. Ari provided technical support via phone and helped me resolve the configuration error. I am very happy with Bay Area Tech's punctuality, professionalism and care they showed throughout the process. I've been amazed by the help I've gotten from the tech heroes. Months ago I had a failing laptop and the hero figured out what was wrong, including its advanced age,and helped me choose a new one and transferred everything from the old one to the new one. Then recently I had a problem with email and he spoke on the phone with me and instructed me which things to click on while he figured out the source of the problem, and it was fixed!
