The good guys always come through in a pinch. My wife and I were headed to Gulf Shores for the weekend. Just north of Bay Minette exit, big bird intersects with our windshield. After wasting time trying to get a quick fix from safelite, found Bay Auto Glass online. We contacted the shop, took a quick detour down I-10 to Daphne, was in and out in 45 minutes with a new windshield. Technicians and office staff were great, it was a good experience. Bay Auto Glass & Upholstery is one of the most efficient and friendliest places that I've ever done business. I needed a regulator replaced on the window of my car. I had called ahead, so they knew I was coming. Within minutes of driving into the parking lot they had my car inside and were dissembling the rear door. They had the parts in stock. My wife and I chatted with Judy, the receptionist, and two other customers. Before I knew it, the technician came in and said my car was ready. The LAST time we will use them. We have used Bay several times over the years. Technicians do not seem to respect the property of others. At completion of the window repair service the vehicle was returned dirty. There were no precautions taken for dirty shoes....and then no quality control for clean up. The windshield was not cleaned when process was finished....customer service? A past experience resonates when similar disappointments occurred while having a headliner replaced. A shame, the owner is a nice guy. Gave them the last chance, we're done! read more

I made an appointment 5 days ago for a windshield repair that was being paid for by my insurance company. I have used this business in the past because I prefer to use locally owned businesses, rather than the nationwide company that my insurance wanted me to use. I was greeted by a very nice lady at the desk, about 10 min before my appointment time. When she told the technician that I was here for my appointment, his response was "well, he's just going to have to wait for a while". The nice lady told him that I was scheduled for this time and he responded "well, he's still going to have to wait a while". He was very annoyed that I was here at my scheduled time. If this is how I'm treated for buying local, I will let the competitor come out to my home and do it while I watch tv next time. read more
