Reading other's reviews left me wondering whether I'd made a mistake booking a room for a week. Answer? A resounding NO! This small roadside inn was perfect. Other reviewers seem to be expecting an upscale modern motel such as a Ramada or Hampton Inn or the like. THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS IS! When I traveled with my parents in the 60's this was exactly the accommodations we stayed in. The Bay Bridge Motel is absolutely NOT a motel. It is a roadside inn and IMHO the owners are missing a bet by not advertising it as such. The only thing missing is a parking lot full of classic cars. (I tried to help by bringing my 40 year old Porsche.) And the view... OMG, the view. The room rates? Let's just say that they were extremely affordable and that there's an espresso kiosk right over there. We WILL be back!

Very retro. Small but clean and sweet. Makes me want a green and black tile shower.

This is our second stay here. Oldie but goodie so if you are looking for luxury go elsewhere. If you are looking for funky retro fun this is the place. We believe they are remodeling. Our room was large with a fridge and microwave. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Those are two big pluses for us. New TV was very good. Loved the view of the bay from our little table. It is bare bones so bring your own glasses if you want wine in the evening. Excellent coffee at the coffee Kiosk on the property.

Pros: * conveniently located * great view from the rooms * I like soft beds, so it was comfortable to me * Has a small kitchen with electric stove top, dishes, kitchen sink * Good water pressure in shower * On a main highway but double pane windows keep noise out well * HUGE, great quality TV and decent cable * Friendly staff * For the price, compared to other hotels, it's a good money saver if you can look past the cons and just be happy you're saving a big chunk of money lol Cons: * Rooms are EXTREMELY outdated (aside from the tvs) and pretty run down. * Walls are pretty thin * Heavy musty smell (at least in our room). * Carpets were questionable as to whether they were clean or not

The broom they left in the room while they were cleaning.

I would give zero stars if possible. I was assigned three different rooms upon my arrival before I was given a room that wasn't already occupied. I left my pillows and blanket in that room and headed out to ride the sand. Upon returning I realized the curtains in my room were closed when I had left them open. They assigned someone else that room too. So another trip to the office and I finally got my own room. This room was filthy. They had shampooed the carpets and the floors were wet. There were cleaning supplies and trash all over the room. The bathroom was especially dirty. I went back to the office to request a clean room and they were closed for the night. I went into town and stayed somewhere else. This place is terrible and I would not recommend staying there. The staff was inappropriate, yelling at each other and fighting in front of guests.

Stained and soiled chairs. We did NOT sit in them.

We've stayed here several times because all we really need is clean sheets and a shower. However every time we come the interior seems to get worse. So you be the judge. Let's be purely objective... Grounds are well kept. Exterior of the building is well maintained. Rooms are about 3-400 sq ft. Doors do not have security latches. Curtains still have the creases from coming out of the package. They cover the glass but not the window frame. They do not offer full privacy. This time our carpet has been melted and is frayed. Bathroom has had a new GFI put in but the wall is unevenly repaired with small holes. Bathroom tiles are intact, grout is clean. Toilet has a round seat and came with one of those cute paper bands to tell you it's been cleaned. Queen bed with clean white sheets and 2 fuzzy blankets but only 3 pillows. Flat furniture surfaces are missing finish and are water damaged. Arm chairs are visibly soiled and stained. I wouldn't sit in them. Cable worked intermittently. Floor mat around the toilet Staff seem really nice. That's not objective but it is important. I give it 2 stars for the staff, clean sheets and the price. NOTE: We were told we were upgraded to a view roomAll of the rooms overlook the bay. What a crock. Update...just folded back my sheets to see a burn in the fabric. So much for clean sheets

We booked a room through Travelocity and when we arrived they had given it to someone else. Not cool. No phone call or anything.

I loved the Itty Bitty Inn so much!!!…read more This is easily the best motel that I have ever stayed at - or even heard of, for that matter. It is, in fact, so much better than the second-best motel that I don't even know what the second-best motel I've been to is! Not only is the Itty Bitty Inn now a must-stay for me on my next trip up the Oregon Coast, but it is so great that it has dramatically increased the likelihood that I will be driving back up the Coast soon. I'm still shocked that the Lonely Planet guide didn't mention it. Rick (the owner) is the coolest. The first thing that he did was give my friend and I a rundown of Coos Bay hotspots. Then he showed us to our beautifully decorated and upholstered rooms - we had the two Tiki-themed rooms, each of which had too much detail to even be done justice by a picture. He proceeded to then pour us complementary beers and directed us to the outdoor patio for lounging and decompression after our trip. I felt like the King of France! I now absolutely need to stay in every one of the rooms for at least a night (there are 5 total, each with a different theme). This is no trivial feat, as apparently new complete redesigns are always in the planning stages. I can't wait to see the place next time I'm in town!!!

It started with Brandy who took our reservation. Extremely nice and gave us some great tips about the area. We were visiting for the first time. It was a total chill experience. Easy to go down the elevator and hit the casino. We went to a Billy Nation concert at the casino. They are a cover band for Billy Joel. The guy sounded better than Billy Joel! Ate at the Timber restaurant three times for breakfast and it was very good. Clean place. Pool is really nice and has two hot tubs. There is a walkway out the back door with a beautiful view of the water. I got my steps in walking down the promenade. Joe, the guy who maintains the lobby is a hell of a nice guy. Always had a "Hi Mike" to me and asked if I needed anything. Joe is extremely proud of his job and had nothing but good things to say about his employment there. 19 years and the guy is still happy going to work. That's the kind of stuff that makes me feel good about people. Great guy. Laura who works in housekeeping took care of us. She knows her job and isn't afraid to step in and help. Great work ethic. Our kids and their friends go to the Oregon Dunes to ride their Can-Ams and quads. We decided to leave our camper home and stay at Ko Kwel. So happy we did.

And two queen bed rooms on opposite sides of the house, downstairs, both nicely appointed with furnishings, and two full bathrooms, one of which is also a Finlandia cedar lined sauna. A fully equipped and stocked kitchen (several types of spices, salt, pepper, coffee, sugar and different sweeteners, cocoa, condiments, along with a variety of other kitchen items not normally included with vacation rentals), dishes, lots and pans, blender, etc. with a breakfast bar for two and separate dining table and chairs for four, that looks out over the bay through a full bay window. The living room on the road frontage side is also well furnished, an oversized arm chair, love seat and matching couch with an entertainment center hosting several board games, an electronic fireplace and a flat screen TV with multiple channels. There is even an old style working rotary dial telephone! Out the back door onto a nice sized deck, there is a small table with two chairs and a full sized gas grill for outdoor cooking that over looks the bay. Following the stair case down you walk down the path and you will find yourself on 249' of private bay side water front beach. Downstairs storage there are several sizes of mud boots, crab pots, clam digging equipment and a couple of bicycles for use while staying. All in all this is a great little place to get away and relax on the water. Close to town yet far enough away to feel private. The only downside to this little gem, the road traffic noise, in the winter I'm sure it's nothing but during the summer it starts early and goes late. Still a great place to stay and in comparison to the area hotels and motels is a bargain! A solid 4 star stay and we will visit again. 00244
