Do not stay here! We spent 2 days. The hotel is literally on the back of a Chevron gas station. The front desk person is very rude. It's dirty. I paid $300 for 2 days, and the front desk could not make change, and wrote on a piece of paper paid $ 300.00. I never received my change. We were given no toiletries. I asked the front desk for some and he gave us 2 towels and a roll of toilet paper. I bought my own hand soap, dishsoap, and clean sponges for the kitchen. This was the worst experience we've ever had with a motel or hotel. We arrived in the evening, and the office's open sign was on, and there was a phone number listed on the door. A man answered, and I said we have a reservation and are here to check in. He said, "we are closed," and I said ok, but we have a reservation. Is there a key box or code we use to get into our room? And he replied, "Nope. We are closed, " and I asked if there is someone on standby for situations like this? And he said, "No, come back tomorrow," and then I asked if I would be getting a refund then, and he said, "Nope. You gotta figure that out with Orbitz, that's not our problem, " and then hung up on me. There was no communication stating that if we didn't make it there in a certain amount of time that we would miss our reservation. We then reached out to Orbitz to request a refund, who informed us that they must be able to get ahold of the motel to authorize the refund, which when they called the motel, they refused the refund. This is the worst situation I have had and by far the worst motel we've ever tried to stay at. Not only was the customer service terrible, but the motel itself was super sketchy and gross looking. Others in the area said it's a terrible hotel that literally horror stories come out of all the time. My biggest piece of advice to anyone looking to stay in Bend, Oregon, is to avoid this place at all costs!! read more

The hotel itself is not too bad. It has an antique light fixture and new side table and toilet and vanity. However, no one has bothered to ever clean the tiles in the bathroom. The microwave is shot. It is rusted in the back of the microwave in the front. I don't believe the sheets were changed, and the bed cover had some suspicious stains on it. The linens were very cheap. It truly is hazardous to your health. I have stayed in hovels all over the world and this is quite possibly the worst place I have ever stayed. We booked for two nights but left after the first night because it was so horrible Our first room had sheets that didn't even fit the bed. When the corners came up when you sat on the bed it exposed nasty, yellow stained mattresses. After repeated attempts to get our TV to work, the 'desk clerk' if you could describe him as that repeatedly mumbled to us to try a different input. In reality, there was no power cord, which we had told him. He finally came to our room and messed around with the battery in the remote to no avail. We moved to a different room...no towels to even wash our face with in the morning. No towel to dry our hands off after we used the toilet. No hot water. Sheets with holes in them but they did fit the bed. The lavatory was coated with what looked to be cement residue as if they had mixed it in there and it wouldn't drain. The single king sized pillow for one of the beds was disgusting. We slept the first night and decided to check out No refund. Again the 'desk clerk' could hardly speak and lied about bringing us towels at 10 pm the night before. Absolutely a lie. He refused to give us the owner/ managers name or number. Not shabby but definitely not chic. I stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. There was only a few motels that had lodging available at over $200.00 a night. I chose to stay at City Center for $78.00. When I pulled into the motel, honestly I felt like canceling my reservation, It's not in a great location or is it much to look at. I stayed, my room was #18, it had a refrigerator, microwave, large tv. Coffee pot. The window was open so it wasn't to musty smelling. The room was clean, the shower was hot. The bed was the second softest most comfortable bed I've ever slept in while traveling. I did have to shut the window, there was a lot of noise from the road. So would I stay here again, I don't know. If your just looking for a place to sleep no frills, this would be it. read more

This is a small and basic motel. For what it is, I give it five stars. The staff is very friendly - I think the blonde at the front desk is part of the ownership. The fridge was not plugged in. So it had defrosted with old food in it. Talk about rank smell. There was someone else's hair in the bathroom. The sink want even rinsed out. I didn't want my feet to touch the floor. No actual blanket for the bed. I guess we are supposed to use the bedspread??? Everyone knows how yucky these are. The first part of my evening starts at the Bay bridge motel in which case there's a review on their page as well. I cannot hold either business responsible for the others so this will be specifically for the city center. I had a problem with an overbooking at another motel and was referred to the city center stating that the city center was holding a room for me. upon getting to the city center, there is a sign in the window that says for a room call this phone number. I called the number and the phone is answered hello, not as a business but as a personal phone number. Okay, I can get over that. However, when I inform her of my issue and state that I was told that she was holding a room for me, she replied that she was on break and would return in a few minutes. I'm not sure in any world where that's an appropriate answer to a customer but okay, I can get over that one too. When I tell her about the room, she quotes me a price almost double! I inform her that I was told by the lady at the other motel that it would be the same if not lower price, she chuckles and proceeds to talk crap on the other business owner for about 10 minutes regarding how she could not ever offer a room for that price and starts talking about labor and overhead costs and how it was impossible to offer a room at that price. Very rudely. I am attaching a picture that shows, that she lied to me the entire time I was there that yes they do in fact offer rooms at the same price if not lower than the Bay bridge and I'm pretty sure she was just trying to scam me out of money. Lisa from CCM is an absolute delight. I live in Eugene but was in North Bend for an event last night. The original plan was for me to drive back to Eugene following the event. However, after a very long day, last minute I decided to stay the night. Usually I stay at the Mill when staying in Coos County, but due to another event in town, as well as Memorial Day weekend, everything was sold out. Luckily I found CCM and they had 1 room available. This room ended up being a King Suite with a full kitchen and bathroom. I was blown away by the suite and the staff. As someone who visits North Bend monthly, I will definitely return to CCM. read more

If I could give this a negative star review I would. Checked in about 6 PM. They called 5 minutes before we arrived to make sure we were coming, so they could close the office (sign said it was open until 8). I won't give a long diatribe but will list what was wrong: room was dark with only one lamp. Queen bed was actually a double. Bed frame was set up for a queen but left about 4 inches of metal frame sticking out from under mattress, hidden by the "covers"--quite the ankle-biting hazard! Bedspread and sheet only. No blanket. Bedspread filthy with black stains. TV remote did not work. No Wifi password at first. Only 1 washcloth and 1 hand towel. Only 1 tiny pillow per person. Furniture threadbare and damaged. Towels completely mismatched. Traded remotes so the channels worked but then the volume control did not work. Tried for three hours to login to Wifi with multiple passwords as provided and never was successful. Front deck clerk was a dull, uncommunicative mouth-breather with a vacant stare. Dusty room, needed painting Paint splashed on fixtures. Shabby, shabby, shabby. Left before staying, TV would not turn off, and then was refused a refund!!!! Horrible substandard, former rent-by-the-week motel for the unhoused. Real s**t hole. read more

I've stayed at City Center a few times and for the price, its ok. HOWEVER, my last stay I went to the office to let them know when I was checking out and a man opened the door as I was walking in and shoved me away saying "You need to come back later - I'm the owner" and slammed the door in my face and locked it. I stood at the window in the door and watched him violently scream at the woman behind the counter in front of 3 young children. After a few minutes he came out and drilled me about what I was doing there (its a motel, I was renting a room, DUH!). He then yelled at me saying he don't want me there (this was COMPLETELY UNPROMPTED AND RANDOM). Come to find out, the woman behind the counter is his wife but HE owns the motel, NOT her. She just 'works' there! Ya, thanks to the new a-hole 'owner', I won't be staying there ever again. PS.. the wife is SUPER nice tho! read more

My fiancé and I were on a road trip from San Diego to north Oregon. We stopped at this nice motel for a place to rest and shower. All the rooms where completely renovated with new tvs, beds, a microwave, small refrigerator and clean shower. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Coos Bay/North Bend Oregon! read more

Front desk staff was exceptionally friendly on arrival and my bed was very comfortable...quite welcome after a very long drive along the coast. Shocked however, in the morning to see 2 young boys approx. 10 & 8 years old preparing the rooms & pulling linens. I'm not sure that's even legal. Shocked, I mentioned it to the front desk attendant. She ran out to my car and explained "they're just trying to earn a little money before the maid arrives at 11." Wish I could recommend this motel but I in good conscience I can't. Taking a motorbike trip up the Oregon coast. After 500 miles in the saddle, I needed a nice warm bed to rest in. This motel was the right price and was quiet enough for me to accomplish that. One of the cheapest places in the area, which offered a room at $43 a night for myself and my fiance. The man at the office gave us the best customer service out of any of the motels in the area and though it's very quaint and looks a little hokey on the outside, the motel is relatively clean. It includes Direct TV, free Wifi, has a microwave and a decent sized mini fridge that stands about 3 feet tall. About 15 bucks cheaper than the Motel 6 I stayed at last in Coos Bay and it also includes the appliances that Motel 6 doesn't, may I add. Don't be fooled by its exterior! For how rude some people are here, the service offered was enough to entice me and the price sealed the deal (I can't believe I paid that much for the Motel 6--and it smelled horribly like dog, whereas this room was fresh and had a faint flowery fragrance). read more

This is the absolute worst place I ever stayed. Cops were here when I arrived, disputes between a guest and management. I can see why! The staff is incredibly rude and disrespectful! They messed up my reservation and they're solution is to tell me to get out or they're calling the cops. This dingy motel is sandwiched between two busy streets, there was no soap or shampoo when I arrived and no TV remote. Dogs are apparently allowed and it's screaming owner kept me up all night. This was one of the worst hotel stays I've had in many years and definitely the worst customer service, I have ever received from a hotel. I was overcharged $10 and simply asked the front desk about the charges. I was told it was "local tax" whatever that entails. I explained upon me making the reservation; there were fees and taxes included and asked for a detailed statement of their fees and taxes. I was yelled at and told "if I had a problem with the charge that I can come back to the front desk and return my key for a full refund". When asked why so much hostility toward a customer? I was again yelled at and told "that I could return to the front desk, return the key and leave the property!!! I was then hung up on. I will then be contacting my bank and disputing the fraudulent charge. I have never been treated like that from a hotel (an ex gf..yes) or hotel personnel and I will definitely never be returning. Moreover, the place stinks like cat urine, there was a cricket in my room keeping me up all night, it's very loud from the road, there's people outside the rooms lurking and smoking and overall I was lucky I got out of there only by being ripped off for 10 bucks! We didn't actually stay at the city center motel. We stayed at the overflow motel which was down the street. I would not recommend that hotel especially if you are single female. There was no one there watching the building like a manager. I don't know what the city center motel would have been like but I would not go back to their overflow motel. read more

Stayed here for a couple nights with the husband for my nieces graduation. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful. The desk clerk, is by far the best clerk that I've come across in my travels. Very upbeat even after having to deal with another guest whom was extremely nasty yelling all sorts of profanities at the poor girl all morning who was just trying to do her job. Not only is this place the right price but it is also clean,quiet and charming! The rooms are remodeled beautifully and the beds are comfy too! Managment Is super nice and accommodating! Nightmare of a night. Motel management leaves at 1am and leaves as in no one on site, so if there is an issue you are pretty screwed. Walls are paper thin, rooms are tiny, had ants in my room, parking is limted so you might have to park on street, heard someone catch someone else trying to break into their car that was parked on street due to lack of parking. Some woman staying 1 door down had a mental breakdown and her boyfriend kicked her out of her room, she screamed for over 2 hours in her car parked outside my window like 15 feet from my bed next to window and then proceeded to scream and cry banging on the door. Texted and called management for help, to which I left a voicemail, she never responded but she showed up 45 minutes later and made the woman leave. Went to check out but even though office was open they locked the doors so had to just drop off key in key box. Sketchy area, not a place I would ever recommend. read more

The staff was very accommodating though we got there pretty late. The room was clean and simple, tastefully furnished, and comfortable. Lots of places to store stuff for a longer stay like a full chest of drawers, 2 large night stands, a desk, and a pretty medicine cabinet. The only thing I would suggest is that there be an information sheet in the room with the wifi password and maybe contact info for any questions. Very nice staff made me feel very welcome. This is a small motel just off the highway not much to look at from the outside, but for the price this is an excellent place to stay. The rooms are very nicely decorated, very clean, wi-fi, comfy beds, in-room coffee and fridge. The apartment / suite has a full kitchen and very large bathroom.
