We just had our company picnic with almost 200 people and they handled everything with care and ease it was amazing. Pia was so fantastic and patient with me as I worked to finalize all of the specifics and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable! She also helped as I am not from the area, so she gave recommendations and really helped ease my mind of worry. Bay City Events (BCE) helped our company put together a super fun, interactive family picnic for our employees and their families. They were able to accommodate our last-minute event (less than 3-weeks notice) when a ton of other event planners had already been booked for the date we wanted. I worked mainly with Pia, BCE's VP. She helped draft up our quote and coordinate the placement of all our activities in the space we provided. BCE is a family-functioned event planning company, who has hosted a slew of events - corporate to birthdays to whatever - since 1995. When they worked our event, it wasn't uncommon that the booth operator was Pia's aunt or brother. It was rather sweet that they kept it in the fam! We had booked the Carnival Package #1 (for about 120 people) for our particular event. It was great because we were able to swap out some activities in the package for other sought-after activities (for example, we swapped out Bay-lympics for a poker table booth and an extra carnival game). We also chose the Fiesta Taco Bar package for our meal, which came with 3 choices of meat, salad, rice, beans, chips, salsa, guac, plus vegetarian options. The day of the event, the crew arrived about 4 hours before the event to set up. I was fortunate to interact with Manny and Laura during set-up, and they were so kind, helpful, and welcoming! I felt comfortable and confident that BCE would take care of everything. I received so much praise and props for such a fun, family-friendly day out of the office; but most of the credit goes out to the BCE staff and crew. Bay City Events hosted a corporate picnic/carnival for my company back in September, and I was blown away by their professionalism, execution, and their food. My colleague found them on Yelp and I admit I was really nervous to use a company I'd never worked with for such a big group (~600 ppl), but I was so busy with other projects that I didn't have time to scout around. The reviews looked good and I liked the pics on their website, so I reached and got an immediate response. Pia and Manny came onsite and I felt at ease as soon as I met them. They were totally in sync about what they thought the best set up would be. I was pressed for time, so I just went with their recommendations and hoped for the best. The result was an amazing day. The Bay City team is so wonderful and nice. I literally didn't even have to think. They just came in, did their magic, and then cleaned everything up and left. Events are usually super stressful, but not this one! We had inflatables, carnival booths & games, a photo booth, life size board games, and so many other awesome things. One of the biggest surprises was the food. Manny assured me he could bbq, and Pia confirmed it was good; but that is a huge understatement. Manny's ribs and chicken might be the best I've ever had! I highly recommend Bay City Events and really hope I'm able to work with them again in the future because my experience was absolutely amazing. read more

Pia and Manny are as good as it gets!!! I'm an EA and have worked with Pia and Manny at a former job of mine. They came recommended and I found out why! It's amazing to have such experienced and talented people to help you plan a large company event. I used them for a sales kick off that had over 300 people and they helped walk me through everything that I might need to have a successful event. Every idea I had, they had a solution for and coordinated for me - everything from chairs, DJ, food, AV, drapes for partitions, decorations, bars. I used them again at my company picnic and they did an AMAZING job putting together a carnival theme outing. They had booths with games and prizes, a photo booth, a jumbo slide with a bungee cord attachment at the bottom. The decorations and themes were ON POINT. They make my job so easy. They are so great that when I went to another company I took them with me. I used them for my new company's holiday party. Pia and Manny save the day once more! We had the party at the office and it was a casino theme. They had amazing Las Vegas decorations, tons of casino tables for blackjack, roulette, craps and more! We even turned a conference room into a Poker table. All of their employees were very hospitable, friendly and eager to help! The employees had such a great time we are BRINGING THEM BACK! My bosses love them. My boss had a personal event and needed last minute help. Pia and Manny again strapped on their superhero capes and came through for him with ONLY a 2 HOUR NOTICE.. They deserve 10 stars! As an EA, they are the people who come through for you last minute, make your job 10 million times easier and someone you can depend on. I was invited to a corporate event last night. I was very impressed with the entire event. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, and the music was delightful. Event planning can be a boom or a bust. In these tight economic times a boom certainly can give a boost to the whole company. I was wondering through the whole night who put together this event.
