So, it was safe to say my expectations were not that high. Wow!!!!!! I was totally wrong about that. The owner Tabitha, greeted me upon arrival w/a beaming smile and a big & fun personality. When I got to my room, it was one of the coziest, cutest, and serene hotel rooms I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. After I brought my bags in my room and got situated, I walked around the grounds of the hotel and noticed they offered an outdoor almost (back yardish) spot for entertaining guests, complete with a small gazebo, fire pit, outdoor games, a table to dine or relax at w/chairs and small love seat, and a grill! Later on while trying to decide on a local restaurant to order dinner from, the grill that I had seen earlier popped into my head. I thought to myself, I'll go ask the owner if the grill is available for guests to cook dinner on? I figured the owner would probably laugh at me and tell me absolutely not. After I asked her this question, Tabitha (w/a big smile on her face) told me that she had purchased the grill for the guest to have a different option other than ordering out. So, I jumped in my car and drove down to Stop & Shop and bought a New York strip steak, fresh asparagus, fresh scallions, fresh mushrooms, and fresh ingredients to make a salad. I went to bed that night with not only a big smile on my face because of the hospitality, but also a pretty big sized full belly from the dinner I consumed! If you and your significant other ever decide to escape every day life and head down to the Cape for a great date night, I highly recommend reserving a room at "The Inn at Buzzards Bay"

While I can…read moreunderstand it is an old building and definitely outdated parts of the rooms but the cleanliness should have been much better. Especially since they called us saying we could check in early if we chose to because the room was ready early. They had plenty of time to do a better job. The coverings over the box string and mattress were very stained, almost everything had a coating of dust, a couple of the towels had markings and the shower liner also had stains. The dust was so bad in the room that we had to get allergy medicine because we woke up feeling awful from the dust. We removed a fake plant coated in dust from the room moving it to the hall and got cleaning supplies from the front desk to clean the AC, fan, etc. The AC was horribly coated like it hasn't been dusted or had the filter cleaned in years. Also, the AC barely worked to cool down the room. The dust was piled on the lights, door frame trim, baseboards, and so on. The bathroom could highly benefit from even minor upgrades. The threshold holding down the linoleum was popping up from the floor, the shower head was practically an outdoor water spigot that you'd see at the beach to wash sand off, and there was no vent to deal with moisture from the shower. For other updates the ceiling has visible water damage marks and cracks along the walls. The continental breakfast is just highly processed pastries and sugary cereals. Some fruit would've been a cheap and desirable option. Quite a bit of noise from the music in the restaurant and could hear banging / foot steps from down stairs anytime of the day. Only giving this place 2 stars because the front desk workers were nice. But a stretch to call it a hotel. Extremely disappointed that we paid to stay in such discomfort but being summer in the cape options were limited to switch after seeing the room. It is hard to find funding could be a source of issue for cleaning properly or basic up keep when they have two restaurants and rooms they are charging a decent amount of money for.

It has beds, it has a tv, and it has a low-grade eggless continental breakfast (for a very small conitnent- Europe, maybe). But, to our one-night stay, convenience, safety, and reasonable accommodations were sufficient. Did the light over entryway door flash intermittently? Yes. Were the lights from the parking lot a little too bright? Yes. Was the front desk annoying to find at 10 pm? Yes. Is there a bizarre gnome garden behind the parking lot? Yes. And was the coffee made from water drained from the bilge of a passing fishing boat? Yes. And did the TV lose reception in the middle of Storage Wars? Yes. Did Barry's costume trick Daryl into overriding? Guess i will never know. But did we sleep, and was it clean enough? Yes. Would i want to stay here for the week? No.

We had two reservations, one reservation was booked directly with your site, and the other was with a third party. When the third party reservation checked in, there was no issue. It's when they went to go get dinner and come back the issue arose. Their keys were not working, and so they went to the front desk. He then told us that the credit card the third party provided wasn't working. We then called the third party who called the hotel. He was extremely rude to them on the phone and extremely rude to us at this point. He wouldn't let us go get our stuff out of the room at first, but finally gave in and allowed us to. At that point the third party website was trying to figure out the issue and called the hotel. He repetitively picked up the phone, hung it up on them and continued to do it. He was not helpful at all in finding a solution for us to get into a hotel room. He was extremely rude to us. Then in order to get a refund my boss needed his name so Hopper could register it and process a refund so we could go get another room. He refused to give us his name and he was not wearing name tag. He then said it was "Steve None of Ya Biz". I stay in hotels almost 1/3 of the month all around the country and have never in my life had such rudeness and unprofessionalism by a front desk employee. He then proceeded to tell us it we didn't leave the property he was going to call the police. I'm sure you have cameras so you can check to verify we were not doing anything. He should absolutely be fired. The way he treated us was disgusting.

I wish I could give 0 stars! This place is a disaster. The booking process proved quite difficult,…read morethe bed was essentially a cot (on wheels, squeaky old mattress with a bulge on the side), and shades that let light from the parking lot in all night. In addition to being able to hear the highway through the doors, we arrived to find a dirty towel draped over the shower curtain with pubic hairs on it. When we let management know they offered us water??? There is a sign in the room that says no discounts or refunds after paying so be sure to check your room THOROUGHLY before you pay--the sign is inside the room though so by the time you know this policy you've already paid. They claim to offer dinner but gave us some Halloween candies, a mini Gatorade and a cliff bar. When we booked we were told we'd have a cabin. When we arrived the management said (and this is truly not an exaggeration) that they had already given away the cabin because the other guest riding the Pan Mass Challenge had finished first--he also let us know he gave them a discount yet we were charged over $300 for a run down single room. I don't know if management knows the Pan Mass is a fundraising event for cancer research (though I did explain this over the phone when begging they honor the reservation we made) but to be told that the other rider got the cabin because they were faster is ableist, disrespectful, and frankly deplorable from both a hospitality and moral standpoint. We only stayed here because it's difficult to find bookings for the Pan Mass weekend and this was all that was left after Mass Maritime camping was unavailable due to Covid precautions. We would have been just as comfortable sleeping in our car. Update! Since posting this review my mother who booked the room was contacted by the management not with an apology or refund but a message saying my review is "out of line." As reviews are about honest feedback I will not be taking it down though of course I hope they are able to refurbish the place and turn it into a functional facility you cannot expect to charge guests $300+ for a single night in an unclean room without feedback.
