The upfront experience was good. However, the attendants did not seem to appreciate guests visiting their course. We were a diverse group of professionals and fairly skilled golfers. We respect the course and the game. Cannot be sure why some golfers were warmly greeted while others seemed to annoy the very same employees. Was race and/or gender an issue? This experience put a huge damper on the whole day and still causes me concern.

The maintenance crew has been working nonstop and making this place look great. They have new carts with GPS because the old carts were garbage! So happy to ride in a cart that is not rattling all over. This course is always full, so beware if you want to get a quick round in, this location is not for you. It doesn't help that it is now Snowbird season, you will have to wait until end of March or early April to find some relief for the golfing season. The cart girl was driving around to provide drinks and snacks. I will be back to play again soon!

The best grits and bacon I have EVER had! The other restaurant, The Albatross, is a sexy, high end steak and seafood spot. I'd put the meals I've had there up against any famous big city dining establishment. The lodging for out of town guests may be one of my favorite amenities. The finishes, the decor, the comfort ... the luxury! There is nothing else like it in this area of Florida. Though I am not a golfer myself, I do know that the greens are immaculate enough to host an annual LPGA event. Before you have time to say anything she meets you with attitude. It's almost like her goal is to stop you from playing. Our first time here she almost didn't let us in saying we needed to be there 30 minutes early to check in (We were 40 minutes early). Greens were in great condition. Great pace to play and overall the courses themselves are lovely.

The carts are good, beware though that if it's a rainy day that the carts don't have windshield or golfbag covers. The course is challenging and bring extra balls because there is lots of water on the back nine and rough boarders that will consume your golf ball if you roll or land in them. Pros: Convenient location, easy access with plenty of parking on one of the oldest courses in the area. Carts were in good shape, ride quiet and smooth. I was paired up with 3 young guys that were fun to play with. We kept a good pace and never caught the group in front of us or delayed the group behind us. Water coolers are available at a few holes. They come in handy during the dreadful heated months we have here. Good putting green to practice on prior to starting your round. Cons: No beverage cart throughout the round. Make sure you bring or get some beverages at the turn and beginning of your round. No driving range, there is a netted area to hit your irons off the first tee box. Greens were fast and bumpy.

I am in no way saying this is not a good place for kids it just seems more adult oriented. The price isn't bad, $30 for all day. You can go to one course leave and come back and play the harder course. Service was excellent at the front desk. I didn't get the young ladies name but she helped me with keeping it on the down low that my son was coming with my grandson. We had a great time. The courses are fun. My son and husband had 3 beers each and me and my grandson had ice cream. The price for all that wasn't bad either at $42. Go to a concert or game or even Busch Gardens and 1 beer is $14 or more.
