These people are shisters. Ordered the special they were running Friday before Memorial day to pick up Sunday morning. Came to pick up order at time we agreed to on Sunday morning. They told me the special had gone up $20 since I placed my order 2 days before. Had to pay the $20 extra because I couldn't go to my event empty handed. I told them they had just lost a return customer. Way overpriced. These people are thieves because they know they can get away with it. read more

I called ahead of time about crab availability at this location and was told that they were Available just to find out that they were actually completely out of crabs. Drove an hour for nothing. The manager was rude and disinterested. Don't give your money to this establishment. read more

We bought 12 #1 crabs. Requested to be steamed lightly seasoned but they were already steamed. Drove home to eat them and they were not the size we have gotten from other places. Crab meat was ok. The place was clean. 5 of the 12 had no claws. We paid $30.00 for a dozen. Won't go back for crabs but fresh fish looked good. I guess it depends on the day. read more

This place was really good!! We ordered the crab legs and 1/2 dozen blue male crabs. The male crabs were advertised as the largest - but they only appeared to be medium sized. I've read stories about the parking, but we didn't have any issues there. I read in someone's post that you couldn't tell that this was a fish market, but you could DEFINITELY tell. The place was visibly "spic and span" clean, but the smell was abnoxiously fishy! But that was to be expected. The crabs and crab legs were nonetheless fresh, meaty and de-lish...they even remained hot until we got home!! The young lady who waited on us wasn't the friendliest or the most helpful. Thank goodness they didn't ask for tips, because Im sure I couldn't have mustered the strength to give her one. I'd like to compare this establishment to the crab lady....I've heard they're both pretty good! read more

The lake trout and crickle cut fries were good for the price. The fish and fries are cooked to order and spices/sauces are on the side for customers to customize to taste. I would like fresh cut fries instead of frozen but for less than $6, I can't expect much. Parking is tight and not in the best part of town but I would visit again. read more

10/10 Bay seafood is the best in town good prices and good quality. I tell everyone about them and they never have a bad experience. Very clean and professional plus friendly. I get a half bushel of crabs and a pound of shrimp all together around 60 bucks can't beat that. Jimmy #2 bigger than most places. I usually get good crabs from here. I went there today and got half dozen of the # 1 Jimmies because # 1's was all they offered. There was only 2 large in the bag the rest were # 2 at best. I am not sure where these crabs came from but they were definitely not Chesapeake Blue, no blue crab flavor! Not happy with Bay Seafood! Time to move on. read more

Yesterday I ordered 1/2 dozen crabs and they were disgusting. I cracked open my crabs and they were all mushy and filled with water. I also ordered fries and they had absolutely no seasoning on it no salt, accent, nothing just Hot and bland. Not to mention they charge $20 for only a half dozen and I can get a dozen in Newport news for that price. I was not happy about my crabs at all. The place is really clean. They have fresh fish which may be the only thing I buy from them and take it home and fry it myself. I just wish my crabs were fresh. read more

My sister and I arrived at Bay Seafood at 10 am yesterday as they open at 10:30 and we didn't want a long wait. At 10:30 the manager showed up and sat in his car smoking for 15 minutes and making phone calls. He finally got out of his car at 10:45 and entered the back door. We got out of my car thinking he would be opening the front door. We waited along with other customers for a half hour and he never came to open the door. I walked around to the parking lot and saw him about to leave. I waved him down and asked what time they would be open and he said they would not be opening. I asked "Why not?" and he just waved his hand at me. I went and told the other customers they would not be opening. How unprofessional; he should have had the decency to come to the front door as soon as the decision was made not to open and let the customers know. I will not be returning to this location. read more
