    Oracle Park from the water.

Had a great time on this boat during our stay in SF. Captain/driver was very well informed and gave a great 90 minute tour (though he didn't have an answer when asked how many dogs there were in the city of San Francisco). Boat is very smooth on rough seas...bounces a bit, but way smoother than a deep hulled boat. The tour was set up to haul *ss for a bit, then stop and talk...haul *ss to the next spot and talk some more...over and over until the end. Favorite spot was McCovey's Cove at Oracle Park. Worth the money!!!

Had an amazing time. We had Jarrod as our captain and tour guide and he was wonderful. Great energy and incredibly handsome. Highly recommend

Highly recommended! Just do it! I surprised my 11 yo niece and 13 yo nephew with the 45 minute tour and really wish we'd done the 90 minute tour instead. They had huge smiles on their faces the whole time and I know a core memory was made for all of us. They'll supply you with pants, a jacket and a life preserver which will at least keep you dry from the few splashes. I recommend dressing warm! I'll be doing this again!

A must do while you are in San Francisco! The Bay Voyager was our favorite part of the trip in San Francisco! We knew wanted to do a boat tour, and we definitely walked up to the right stand at the right time . The guy who signed us up said the boat was leaving in 5 minutes, so we said Great ! And didn't know what to expect but it was a great surprise. A small but fast boat. We loved every minute of this adventure! Definitely recommend this experience!

I am born & raised in the City but brought my friend & his grandson. Taking a speed boat tour from the water gave me a renewed appreciation for our beautiful City. It was a perfect clear day, not too windy, w/ fun swells of the ocean tide.

Decided on a last minute trip on the bay voyager based on a recommendation from a friend. I was a little nervous because I'm kind of a chicken and this seemed a little more adventurous than I usually opt for, but I did it anyway, and boy am I glad I did! The tour was super fun and fast paced, but I wasn't scared at all. Captain Jarrod was super funny and knowledgeable and clearly knew how to handle the boat. I had such a great time and learned a lot about the bay. The coolest part was definitely the part of the ride where we got to ride alongside a group of pelicans that were flying low above the water. It almost felt like we were flying with them, super cool! All in all, highly recommend!

We love this place. So far have gone twice andevery time we have guests we take them on this. It's a fantastic way to have a great day on the water without feeling like you are herded into those overpriced tourist boats. Great equipment, great captain, and a small setting makes this a perfect choice.

Fun with a wet spray and informative. Choppy water makes it the most fun. End of the day, especially when its hot woupd be best. Wear sunglasses.

One of the best parts of our trip! My boyfriend and I had a blast. We stumbled upon this while looking for something to do on the pier. We've never been on a boat like that, but it was awesome. It was a smooth ride, but so fun!! Captain was very friendly and so knowledgeable. He answered all questions asked anyone on the boat. You literally get to go under the Golden Gate Bridge! I highly recommend you take this tour if you get the chance.

Going on the Bay Voyager was my favorite part of our San Francisco trip. The captain made stops at points of interest and also made sure to bring us to the best spots for photos, as well as got us up close and personal to a large shipping vessel in the water. Not only was he knowledgeable and entertaining, but he was also quite reassuring to one of our friends who was apprehensive at first. We will definitely be back on our next San Francisco trip!

My mom, sister, cousin, and I along with the rest of us.

So, instead of our usual family trip to another country or state this summer, we decided to become tourists in our own backyard and booked an eight-hour San Francisco Alcatraz + City Tour, including Muir Woods and Sausalito. The tour cost $179 per adult (nine of us) and $169 for one child, and we even booked a hotel nearby the night before to make sure we'd be on time for our 9am start. We all met beneath the iconic Fisherman's Wharf sign, where Patrick was our guy! Patrick was knowledgeable, witty, and engaging--he kept us entertained with fascinating facts about San Francisco, fun trivia questions, and even handed out Ghirardelli chocolate as prizes. My man and I answered so many questions that we ended up with almost half the bag! Even though we were a bit hungover from pub crawling the night before, Patrick's energy kept us awake and involved. He thoughtfully included the three kids in our group, telling them to count Priuses on the street and quizzing them with their own set of trivia. Along the way, he pointed out some quirky facts, like there being more dogs than babies in San Francisco, and made sure everyone felt part of the experience. Patrick pointed out several billionaires' homes, as well as highlights like Chinatown and Japantown. We made a memorable stop at the Presidio and Fort Point for stunning views and photos of the Golden Gate Bridge. Patrick even volunteered to take group pictures for us and made sure we had time for restroom breaks. After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, we made our way to Muir Woods. Though we only had an hour and a half--just enough time for my older siblings--my man and I left wanting more, wishing we could explore beyond the designated paths. The towering redwoods, some between 400 and 800 years old, were awe-inspiring. I'm sure there were even more breathtaking sights we didn't have a chance to see. Next, Patrick took us on a drive through Sausalito, pointing out popular restaurants and an old recording studio once frequented by celebrities. After dropping off a few tourists, he guided us to the starting point for our Alcatraz Tour and left us at Fisherman's Wharf for lunch. We felt a little sad knowing it was the last time we'd see him--at that point, we were on our own for the rest of the adventure. Although I've visited San Francisco many times--unlike my siblings--I still learned so much from the tour. We all had a great time, even my man who lived in the city for several years. While I initially thought the price was steep, by the end of the day, it felt completely worth it!

My tour guide was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and full of fun facts, local tips, and recommendations that made the experience even better. I also loved that the group was small (about 8 people in the van), which made it easy to ask questions and actually see everything without feeling crowded. The three photo stops are short, but they're at excellent viewpoints and perfect for getting some Instagram-worthy pictures. As a solo traveler, I honestly can't recommend this tour enough. You get an incredible amount of value for the price, and it's a great way to get your bearings before exploring the city on your own. I'd recommend keeping notes of the places and recommendations your guide mentions so you can revisit them later. One thing that really stood out was the customer service. My original booking didn't meet the minimum group size, so I was moved to a different tour. Unfortunately, that caused me to arrive late, but the guide was incredibly gracious and made me feel welcome without any hassle. Whether you're traveling solo, with a partner, or as a family, I'd absolutely recommend this tour. It's one of the best ways to kick off a trip to San Francisco.

Pros: + The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. + Once you get on the island and go through the 5 minute orientation from the NPS ranger, you're free to roam about. + The audio-guided tour is actually REALLY good. It was my first time and I thought it would be cheesy but it was engrossing and informative. + Restrooms were very clean and not crowded (at least not the guy's restroom). + There are some truly AMAZING views of the bay. Bring a travel-safe camera. Neutral: ~ There's restrictions on food and drink (only bottled water is allowed in the majority of the park). So plan ahead. ~ San Francisco traffic is real and kinda sucks. Plan ahead for delays. ~ A good portion of the park is outdoors (which isn't a negative but means that it's impacted by the weather). It gets super windy so plan ahead and dress appropriately. Cons: - The price is indeed a little high. I don't think I'd go here all the time. Once every couple years is probably fine. - A friend told me that there's a LOT of bird poop around and they were right. It's not enough to impact walking but does detract from the experience slightly.

Poor Service Experience with Alcatraz City Cruises…read more I'm writing this review to share my experience with the company's customer service, specifically around their cancellation policy. We were excited to book a trip through Alcatraz City Cruises on 6/16/26. Unfortunately, a family emergency forced me to cancel our trip to San Francisco, including this tour. I cancelled through the confirmation link in my email on 6/19 -- well within the 72-hour window required for a full refund, since the event itself wasn't until 6/26. The website showed my reservation as cancelled, so I stepped away to deal with the family emergency. In my rush, I never went back to check for a separate cancellation confirmation email, since the site had already shown the cancellation as complete. That was my mistake -- but it led to a frustrating outcome: I was charged for the tickets on the day of the event anyway. I didn't catch the charge until I reviewed my bank statement at the start of the following month. I called four times and couldn't reach a live person. When I finally got through to a representative, my request for a refund was denied. I asked again for the decision to be reviewed, but the agent refused, saying they would not look into it further. I understand that not confirming the cancellation via email was an oversight on my part. But the website clearly showed the reservation as cancelled, and we never used the tickets. Given that the cancellation was initiated well within the refund window, I would have expected more flexibility from customer service -- not an automatic denial. Dissapointed in this company and would not book through them again. Unfortantely, they did come up as one of the recommended companies to book through due to other scams and fake sites, but beware
