Our oven broke two days before Thanksgiving - and we were hosting! I made a frantic call to BayCity and they offered to add us to their already busy schedule for the day. Nash arrived on time (with great communiction before the appointment). He explained the situation clearly and carefully and told us it was one of two issues with two different price points. Having been burned by repair people before, I assumed it would definitley be the higher price option, but was happily surprised that his diagnoisis was the easier and less expensive fix. He did the repair right then and even took time to clean behind the oven while he had it out. (It has worked perfectly ever since). We wanted a second opinion after a lengthy run around with our extended warranty. Bay city came and were open and honest on their evaluation of our washing machine. He provided insight on the risk involved in replacing a control board that was obviously a highly faulty model. He was upfront about the time required for the repair and the low stock part. Ultimately we decided to purchase a new replacement and have the faulty one hauled away. I hate that we just created trash, but it was the best decision. Very responsive, tried to help me diagnose the problem on the phone , so I could maybe save time and money. Had to come to to check , but I wasnt available, didnt complain at all, I offered to pay for the no show and asked to come again again a second time. Graciously sent Nash over and Nash took one look and figured out that these GE dishwashers all have circulation pump problems and they dont last more than 2 years especially with the hard water problems in this area. Suggested I get a new good dishwasher instead of wasting a grand trying to fix the GE one which was less than 2-3 years old. read more

My 19 year old Miele dishwasher had flashing lights at the end of the cycle. Rovshan quickly diagnosed the possible problems and gave all the options regarding possible fixes and costs. Based on all the information he gave me, I decided not to fix it (it was actually still running but w/o the boosted water temperature). He also gave me tips on cleaning it and the best replacement brands of dishwashers. I also had a ice maker that wasn't working properly, he diagnosed the problem and fixed. (It was iced up inside). My refrigerator started losing cooling capacity in the top area and it was only working in the freezer section. Even when the temp is set to say 38F or 39F as recommended it was at 60F and still going up. Called Rovshan at BayCity Appliance. Within minutes he asked me to check a few things and diagnosed it as a fan problem. In addition, he recommended the panel (to cover the coils) with thermocol to be replaced. He sent me a quote and on confirmation, he gave me an appointment in the next 3 days, showed up in the window, and did a clean job. Now the refrigerator is back to its normal function. I found them on Yelp and so glad I did! I got a same day appointment for my oven, which was not igniting. BayCity was very communicative by text and set my expectations. Once the problem was diagnosed, he gave me options for the replacement part and succinctly described the differences. We decided to replace it today, so the whole visit was affordable and short. A POSITIVE experience with an Appliance Repair business for a change! They came out to diagnose the problem with my stove on the SAME DAY that I called them!  Had to order some parts and returned in 2 days to fix it. I think they were reasonably priced ($105 for the first Service Call to diagnose the problem, which was then applied to the final price to fix it, as opposed to the $155 another company quoted me for the initial visit). I called and scheduled their service to fix a leaking washer. Nash came by, respectful and very friendly, he immediately went to work in diagnosing the issue. He suggested a fix that he's about 80% confident but after getting a second opinion, turns out his diagnostic was wrong and now the washer is fixed.
