It's giving basic vibe but not bad at all. Please note there are NO ELEVATORS - only stairs. Unfortunately I saw an older climbing the stairs and I wish her family advised before booking but she got up there. Definitely not handicap accessible as it should be but might be doable depending on your needs. Free breakfast is available but come with low expectations - there's a guarantee it will be muffins, bagels (plain/raisin), English muffin, eggs, biscuits, and maybe sausage. I did bring my own meat since a small refrigerator is available in the room and a microwave. Coffee available 24/7 but it's downstairs in the lobby outside of breakfast hours. Pool is there but it's small - so if kids are enjoying themselves then just keep moving because you're going to get wet. Pro - you're near Walmart and 17mins from Hocking Hill. Holy moly stay away! We arrived in the parking lot and there was some guy just standing on the side of the building looking menacing (not the hotels fault but worth noting) so we stayed as far away as we could to run into the hotel lobby. When I first checked in with my troop of kids the room they gave was already occupied when I opened the door, the second room they gave me was disgusting. The bathroom door was locked so after we got that fixed the ceiling was peeling over the yellowed tub the bathroom door the chairs were stained and browned the carpet was dirty and worn down and there was a stench that made it hard to breathe. We would have left if it weren't so late and it was more than one night. We tried to sleep on top of the blankets with some throw blankets we brought because it didn't feel trustworthy but the room became freezing in the middle of the night. We didn't even try the breakfast we ran out of there as fast as we could. The pool room is beautiful, I wish the rest of the hotel reached the minimum acceptable let alone matched the beauty the pool room had. read more

Would not recommend. We reserved 2 nights only stayed 1. The main problem was the AC, it made sporadic alarm sounds thru the night, we got no sleep. The manager, JR Yates, told us it was probably a car alarm - but it wasn't. We asked for our money back for the second night, his replies to our comments were rehearsed, of course the answer was no. Many people were complaining. The hotel was dirty, smelled musty, was not kept up. There was no elevator, we had to lug our suitcases up the steps, older people or a handicap person would not be able to stay there. The workers were rude. We will never go back. read more

Wanted a decently priced hotel near Hocking Hills State Park. Found this one through Expedia. Location: Excellent! Closest option to the state park entrance for a hotel. McDonalds, Arby's, Bob Evans within sight. Staff: pleasant and helpful. Parking: plenty. There was a middle entrance I was able to park near for close proximity to my room. Security: I was glad the middle entrance was secured and access was via my room card key. Room: clean, decent enough. One king bed, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, microwave, fridge. However, the fridge did not work at all so drinks I brought ended up room temp and I had to ditch my yogurt. Also, note there are no USB ports,a feature most hotels do have. In fact, this hotel, pleasant enough as it is, shows it has not seen a renovation in a few decades, at least. The shower was hot, pressure good. The sink had severely slow drainage. I don't think drying your hair over a sink full of water is a grand idea (note: I did not). Breakfast: continental breakfast included for free. I do have to say this is by far the most meager option ever presented. No waffle machine or juice machine, staples of restaurants in this century. They did have orange juice in sealed cups in the fridge and milk for cereal. There was a toaster but no bagels or bread. They did have some hot dishes --gravy and some kind of egg. There were 2 biscuits available. They did have apples. Sooo, I grabbed an apple for my hike, ate cereal, drank juice then proceeded to McDonald's nearby. Sad, sad breakfast. This was, by far, the worst experience we have ever had staying anywhere. Pitching a tent outside would be a major upgrade, you couldn't pay me to stay in this dump again. As soon as you walk in, you notice the smell of stale smoke and mildew. SEE PICS FOR THE REST.... Our TV stand was BROKEN and tilted at a 45 degree angle. There were NUMEROUS HOLES in the walls filled in with TOILET PAPER. There were BUGS all over the room, crawling everywhere including our drinking cups. The sink was clogged and took about 10 minutes for the water to finally seep through. The toilet was broken and CONTINUOUSLY FLUSHED THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE NIGHT. The main door handle was loose and not secure - huge safety issue!! Another safety issues - the fire sprinkler head was rusted and COVERED in a disgusting substance - there is no way it works properly. Luckily I booked with Expedia, which has excellent customer service and gave us their own credits to use in the future because you can't find a corporate number for this piece of trash dump to save your life. They also tried to reach out to Wyndham for some sort of a refund, but Wyndham has not responded. At almost $200/night... This is not ok. read more

Booked a "suite" because it was the only option at the time. The only thing that makes it a suite is that they stuffed a tub with jets in the corner of the room. Bathroom is tiny with the sink and mirror outside the bathroom. The bathroom door did not shut all the way and the shower did not drain properly. Now I would have paid more to not even see the breakfast. Truly a pathetic breakfast, you might as well walk to McDonald's down the road. For 224 a night this place is criminal. You would be better off pitching a tent in the woods. Stay as far away as possible from this place! Edit: There was also a wash rag from the last guest left in the bathroom! The bathroom needed the walls and ceiling repaired. The shower curtain had a very strong sour odor. There was all kinds of dirt and trash in the entryway and hallway. I had stayed in this motel numerous times under a previous manager. It was always taken care of. It has deteriorated a lot in the last 8 years. very sad read more

Worst place to stay. Just go a bit further to a better place , you won't regret it. The staff has NO idea what they're doing from any shift. The place needs a major upgrade. It's all severely dated and the room and bathroom was gross. 200 a night for this room!!! NOT worth it. Couldn't find the manager, never got my discount. They couldn't even figure out how to work anything to charge me. I plan contacting Wyndham myself and complaining. I could of stay at a Hampton Resort Inn just 20 miles down the road for far less than this place. NEVER again. You should be ashamed of charging people these rates. And there was NO breakfast ! Disappointed when we walked in to our room and it smelled stale. The phone didn't work so I couldn't call the front desk. The radio didn't work so we couldn't see the time or set the alarm. The fan in bathroom didn't work either. The largest concern was the hole in the shower stall. It was in the panel near the shower head and we were concerned that someone may have access to looking into our shower through that hole. The breakfast was just meh. Yes, this place is dated,but it's clean, and the beds are super comfortable. The manager was very J R was accommodating to my needs and concerns. I would definitely stay here again and not pay the extra 60 dollars for a new place. They will be remodeling this place real soon. read more

This hotel is a dump. It was really musty in our room. The ceiling of our bathroom was pealing from water damage and there was no ventilation whatsoever to try to get rid of the damp smell. I would have asked for a refund and left but we were only staying for one night. I wouldn't stay here again. Seems like they should bulldoze the building as opposed to spending money on the construction going on in the front of the hotel. read more

And they charged my credit card 250.00 that I am currently disputing!!!! because they found ash on a table and some loose flower( weed) on the sheets, my girl was rolling in bed WE DID NOT SMOKE.. I wish I would have brought my swimsuit. The pool at the Baymont Inn in Logan is big and inviting. I'd say, "maybe next time," but this trip was probably a one-time adventure, so instead I say to you: "Remember your swimsuit!" We paid $102 for a room with two doubles, which was competitive with nearby hotels. The front desk staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was limited to cereal, toastables, fruit, or yogurt, but it was free, so I'm not complaining. Free wifi was offered, which is always a plus. To be sure, there's nothing fancy or upscale about this hotel, but it's a solid choice for a budget hotel. read more

I think perhaps this location has changed hands, as the staff has changed and it is actually way cleaner then it was before. However, the front desk staff person didn't make eye contact, when I arrived to check in she told me I would have to wait for her sister to get there. After 15 minutes of standing in the lobby with a toddler, drinking ice cold coffee (which was not an iced coffee) she finally checked me in. I gave her my Apple credit card and she responded that they didn't accept Apple credit cards. I used another. I requested a late check out, she responded that they do not have late check-outs, all the while never looking up at me. She was really rude. Towels for the pool, we got some eventually. Perhaps new on the job? She was most definitely the ONLY staff person on site. Certainly overwhelming for her I imagine. And probably unsafe even if it is Logan Ohio. Customer Service is BIG. While not the Omni, I was still spending $200 a night and feel like the very least she could have done was be polite. Again, it's clean!! So, Kudo's for that. Just had a recent stay at this Hotel. June 10, 2022 check in June 11, 2022 check out  checked in at around 11 pm Upon arrival and going to our original room 106  Entered the room and it had A VERY STRONG MOLD AND MILDEW ORDOR!!!!! When I went to the front Desk the young lady that checked us in ( she was very friendly) was no longer working. There was a older woman working Desk and when I told her about the room  her solution was I have some air freshener do you want it. She acted like it was a inconvenience and had a very annoyed look on her face after I told her that would NOT work the smell is so strong and I have allergies to mold and mildew. She again acted annoyed and At that point I said yes I know I'm a pain in the A$$. All she could say is I don't think we have anything else and if we do it would be on second floor. I told her I did not care if it was on second floor, but I want to check room out before I took it. At that time my husband came to desk and said there is NO WAY we are staying in that room cause the bathroom is full of Mold and Mildew.  She gave us room Room 107 across the hall. Which was better. But you could see where there is water stain starting and also something nasty growing in bathroom vent. The refrigerator DIDN'T WORK!!!! So things we had bought to be able to put in refrigerator we couldn't! I took pictures of the first room bathroom and showed to front desk lady and she said oh it'll give maintenance something to do tomorrow the popcorn needs redone. NO!!! That ceiling NEEDS TAKEN OUT AND REPLACED AND THEN POPCORN CEILING REDONE!!!! Know this cause my husband was a licensed builder and is a Carpenter as well. When we got across the hall and he checked our new room bathroom and seen water spot he said " There is a leak on the second floor somewhere for these two rooms bathrooms to be like this, especially over the bathroom in our first room.  At $139 for the night it's unexceptionable for that first room to Have been given to us!!!! You can not tell me that NO one has complained or known about that issue in room 106. I paid $224 for a ONE NIGHT room that smelled like sweat and mold and was damaged. The bathroom ceiling had a hole in it and the fan was falling out! The amenities said Free WiFi and breakfast which was NOT included in our stay. The website is out of date and very misleading as well as the pictures posted. If there was an option to give them a zero rating I would have. I was traveling from out of town for a get away weekend with my brother, sister and our two cousins who were also brother and sister to hocking hills for hiking and other activities. I booked our hotel a few weeks ago and it stated on the website I could pay on the arrival date. Also I would like to add that I came across this hotel when I looked into places to stay in the area. The pictures looked really nice and everything on the website looked good. The mistake I made was not checking the reviews. Lesson learned. So upon arrival we went inside to check in. We noticed right away things seemed off. The front desk seemed to be "under construction" and not all staff members were not wearing masks and some of them were wearing them under their noses and with everything going on that was disturbing to me. My family member and I got our card keys and headed to let the rest know we could take our stuff to the room. We booked two rooms. One for my brother and cousin (boys) and one for us girls. When we entered the rooms right away we were met with a foul odor that smelled like mildew, cigarette smoke and a candle that someone had burnt to cover up the smell. We inspected the room and found that the sheets were dirty and unkempt looking. It honestly looked like someone had been laying or lounging on the bed BEFORE we entered the room. We pulled the covers back and found dirt stains on the sheets and the duvet/comforter they had on the bed had what looked to be blood stains on it. The bathroom had dirt crusted on the floor and looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in years. And as I stated earlier, due to covid, this was very concerning. As a group we decided to go get dinner and decide if we wanted to stay there or not. It ended up being a 45 minute wait at the hungry buffalo so we went over to the hotel that was next to it called the sleep in and asked if they had any rooms. Unfortunately they didn't have any so we decided to call around and see if anyone had any openings. Of course it being a holiday weekend everything was booked. We decided we would go back to the hotel and talk to the front desk. We went to the front desk and explained we had just checked in and that when we looked in the room it was dirty and smelly and the sheets were stained. This was stated in a very nice manner. The front desk lady whose name was Sara said that she didn't know if we would get a refund since we had been checked in for three hours, but offered to check us out. So yes we would be checked out but I didn't feel comfortable leaving without having some sort of paperwork about the refund being processed because I had read another review about how a customer was double charged and they refused to refund her money and didn't answer her phone calls. So I asked her to process it now and she snottily stated she had to ask her manager and then was silent. There were customers in line asking us why we were checking out and my sister showed them the photos of the stains and disgusting state of the room. They said they were being charged $200 a night which is absolutely ridiculous for the state of the hotel. As we were talking with them a family that we had seen checking in before us was leaving. They said they had a similar experience and that they had someone's dirty laundry kicked under their bed. So it was not just us with this experience. However, it's not just the state of the room, but how we were treated. As a customer service manager I am very well aware of what customer service looks like and this was hands down the worst customer service and experience I have ever had. The front desk person Sara, ignored us and then once the manager came in he was even more rude. Sara explained to him the situation and exaggerated the story about what happened saying we were using profanity. I asked if I was getting my money back and he said no. read more

Was not notified there was not an elevator so we had to lug all our stuff including huge, heavy cooler up stairs. The hallways were hot as if air conditioner was out. Upon opening the door to our room the smell of mold knocked you over. The pictures above the beds looked as if they had been in a flood before being hung. The airconditioner made a loud racket which made sleeping difficult. Once asleep we were women to someone beating on door shouting fire. We then could smell smoke and once we opened door could see smoke in hall. After gathering ALL our belonings and lugging them back down stairs and sitting outside for over an hour the firemen told us it was safe to go back in. So now back in room we could still hear commotion from firemen talking with people down the hall, and room was now smelling of smoke and mold, it was ridiculous! Woke up about 3am and couldnt breath d/t mold smell. In the morning we had to go get our luggage out of car and lug it once again upstairs to get ready for our day and then back down for checkout. We met a couple on our tube trip who had also been at out hotel and they also complained about smell i told them i had gone to front desk about it and was given a spray ( it did not help) they said they changed rooms- their new room was even worse so they went back to original room but after fire they checked out and went to a new hotel. That was not an option for us unfortunately. So the mold problem is not just contained to one room be aware!!! And if you have an allergies or breathing problems steer clear of this hotel the smell is overpowering! And the fact the alarms never sounded is very concerning!!! read more

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The first room we were given smelled bad and we asked to be switched. The second room smelled moldy and was dirty. Carpet hadn't been vacuumed. Towel rack falling off the wall. Shower was stained. Air conditioning vents were filthy and inside was a glade air freshener that I have to assume was placed there to try to mask the horrible smell of the room. When I asked the front desk clerk if she could smell the mold and dirt smell she told me that all hotels smell that way. As someone who stays in hotels frequently for business I can tell you that is not true. We were booked for two nights but only stayed one because the smell was so bad we couldn't sleep. read more

When I went to sleep last night I probably would have gave three stars even though I was extremely upset by the rude customer service we received during check in and then again later when we had asked for a few extra towels for our room, the room looked nice. The pool was clean and warm. But this morning I would give no stars if I could. The breakfast was not a breakfast. It was cereal and toast. The shower in our room did not drain. Room was not clean, but this was the only hotel in the area with vacancies, on a Wednesday nite. Brown-ish green drips on bathroom wall, ground in dirt (?) on carpet between beds. AC/heater had mold and dust growing on vents, and it looked like the furniture had never been moved to vacuum underneath it.. dust had to be an inch thick. The Baymont in Logan Ohio is pretty good. I always love a free continental breakfast and a place that has a pool. The front desk staff were nice as can be and the hotel is conveniently located near shops and restaurant. Plus it's right of the highway which is a bonus. read more

On Wednesday July 2, 2014, after a unexpectedly long day of hiking, I was extremely worn out. So worn out that I started vomiting and became dehydrated. I went to the baymont and tried to rent a room but the woman at the counter said that she couldn't rent to anyone under 21 (I'm 18). There was no manager and, though I thought it was ridiculous that an adult couldn't rent a hotel room, I understood she couldn't do anything about it. I was very sick from driving and asked if I could sit in the lobby for a few minutes until I was in a condition where I could drive. The woman behind the counter was incredibly rude. She told me it was only for guests, even though she wouldn't rent me a room. I asked if I could at least use a restroom because I was about to vomit again. She angrily told me that it's also for guests. Once she realized that it was either let me use the restroom or I was going to puke everywhere, she told me where it was. As I rushed into it she told me that I would have to get out if anyone else needed it. As I left, I heard her being very rude to an elderly woman at the desk. Whoever this woman was, she is the last person anyone should employ to deal with customers. She is rude and had no personality skills. She had no reason to treat me like dirt. The people at the holiday inn said they couldn't rent me a room because of my age, but at least they were polite and acted like they cared. read more
