Went to the new Madisonville location and was so disappointed! The crawfish tasted like they were cooked in plain water then seasoned after the fact. I think maybe they were rushing so they didn't let them soak long enough. They were only just cooked. All the veggies like the mushrooms, garlic, and potatoes tasted the same. Also, the crawfish were massive, but not really in a good way. Like the end of season crawfish that are really hard and that maroon red color. All the way from Michigan to get the best crawfish, and pickle sandwich around. Also extremely convient that this is setup as a drive through/take restaurant. There are plenty of signs that clearly show you where to drive, place your order, and pick up. I really enjoy the spices they use and feel it accents the crawfish perfect. My husband enjoyed the crawfish as well but came for the pickled sandwich. A pickled sandwich is a sandwich made with pickles instead of bread. They use a giant kosher dill pickle instead of bread. The sandwich includes typical sub ingredients like meat, cheese, and condiments. Pickles can be a good source of electrolytes, and something different to eat when cutting out carbohydrates because pickles are low in carbs and can be a satisfying snack or addition to meals. Can't say enough good things about this stop. Love that there is no need to cook and we can get delicious food for the whole family. In addition to round out the experience they have 10 different flavors of Daiquiris to go! The flavors are delicious and the drinks are strong. One gallon of your favorite flavor or you can always mix and match two flavors inside the one gallon. Your choice. REALLYYYYYY sweet and cool staff. They were great. I've gotten crawfish from here before and they were STELLAR...but the other day I did pick up some boudin and I was disappointed :( I had seen their post on their facebook about getting boudin in so I headed there after going to Home Depot and loading up on plants! The boudin was WAY too spicy (imo) and just wasn't the best quality. I know they don't make their own boudin, they get it from a supplier, but pick another company for boudin! Also, they only had 2 links available and I wanted their 3 for 11 deal, so they told me it'd be 2 min. and I think they might have just heated it in mic??? Not very cool. Anyways, I would suggest this place for crawfish ALL day, but they need to find a different boudin company to support. read more

Great value brand of boiled crawfish. They must sprinkle some Tony's in the water and call it a day. We've tried twice this year (used to be the go to spot when they opened). Live might be good, but for boiled, it may be worth 45 cents to 75 cents a pound. My wife did say the daqs are really good! read more

Worst crawfish I've ever had boiled. Don't be deceived by the long lines, they are most likely there for live sacks. Our 10lbs of crawfish was bland in flavor, overcooked, and apparantley only seasoned on the outside. Garlic and potatoes were undercooked. The sausage was the only thing that was edible. If you are looking for boiled crawfish - AVOID LIKE CORONAVIRUS!! I even called to tell them there crawfish wasn't that good and was met with arrogance. I can't recommend this spot enough!! First off... the staff/family that runs the location is AMAZING. Always amazing customer service. The food is ALWAYS incredible. Best crawfish on the Northshore hands down. Their pineapple sausage is a favorite in our family. Amazing dessert snowballs. Their dipping sauce is heavenly. Prices are always fair with local markets. Lobster Roll: Pros: Delicious! Lobster was seasoned right and tasted so yummy. The bread was buttery and toasted (like Texas toast) and a great compliment to the lobster. Overall very good! Cons: For the price, there should be more lobster meat /bigger chunks of meat on the sandwich! Also thought there would be some sort of side served with the sandwich such as chips or fries. It was the worst snow crabs I've ever had. Not only were they super small but your could tell they have been boiled multiple times. The meat shrank to nothing. My crabs where pretty much hollow. First the packaging was poor. They were in a plastic bag and then in a paper bag. I am so glad I thought to put a Sam's bag under it because when I got home they had leaked all over the Sam's bag. I have bought live crawfish here since January. The crawfish were good size and very few dead ones. The staff is what I love about this place. I called both times to reserve a sack and the lady that answered was very nice. They usually open at 11 but I needed them a little earlier. Last Friday I stopped to get 10 lbs of crawfish on my way home from work. I paid $54 fir the 10 lbs and when I git hone my husband said that there was no way it was 10 lbs. then they were AWFUL! Not seasoned well and mushy. I went there about an hour before they closed and almost think that they took cold boiled crawfish and dropped in boiling water because som3 of the crawfish were cold in the middle. Last night I picked up crawfish at Aquistipace in Covington and 10 pounds and they were very good. I don't think I'll be giving Bayou Boil N Geaux my future business. read more

May have been an off day, but the shells were covered in seasoning and the actual meat had absolutely no flavor, and I'm not sure they were actually cooked completely.
