Greeted promptly. Seated quickly. Prompt service. Lance was amazing. food was exquisite. Prepared quickly. Seasoned perfectly. Green beans were phenomenal. Spinach equally as good. Real "chopped" salad. A true delight from beginning to end! Speaking of ending; bread pudding was delicious!!!

We were looking for some seafood close and saw Morton's. We looked over their large menu and ordered the seafood (shrimp & crab) salad, the combination seafood boat, some Caesar salads, and the fried shrimp platter. Now the combination seafood boat says that it's all inside a bread loaf and I assumed a small baguette. NOPE! It's a literal full bread loaf and was delicious. I'm rating it a 3, but will update my review when we go in and sit down.

My brother and I decided to try Morton's on the lake for dinner. I ordered the blackened red fish which had a price tag of $35 dollars. The fish was slightly overcooked and heavily seasoned which made it crispy. Way too much salt. My brother ordered a hamburger with onion rings. The hamburger was mediocre at best. The onion rings were soggy and tasted like pure garbage. With a price tag of over $21 dollars, the burger should have at least been flavorful. Not the case here. But the real kicker was when they brought me the receipt. On the receipt, they added $2.09 administrative fee. I called a manager over and asked what the fee was all about. I was informed that the fee was utilized by the restaurant to offset rising food cost. The manager further stated that the restaurant didn't want to raise prices on the menu, but would rather add a fee after the fact. I advised the manager that the restaurant is only negatively affecting the wait staffs tips. The only bright side to my experience was the actual server, which was very attentive. The manager was also polite and professional. This is the only reason for the two star rating versus a one star. Save your money and stay away from this dump. McDonald's has better food!! See the receipt and administrative fee below.

Morton's is such a worthy stop in Madisonville. It truly has the best fresh seafood, and if you like your seafood fried, it will be done right!

Yesterday, my friend Elaine and I were traveling to Ocean Springs for her birthday celebration and we stopped in Madisonville for a delicious meal at Morton's Café. We had two amazing dishes recommended by Christian our delightful server. We enjoyed a savoring shrimp pasta dish and their blackened speckled trout covered in mushrooms, crawfish and delicious spices with roasted potatoes and parmesan coated broccoli. We also enjoyed a pound of boiled crawfish as an appetizer. We are looking forward to a return trip so that we can try other delicious dishes.

This was my first visit to Morton's and it will definitely be my last. I ordered snow crab. They were the smallest legs I have ever seen. They weren't seasoned at all. They didn't come with potatoes or anything.. And they didn't quite cook them enough to have the meat come out of the leg easily. That's three strikes and you're out never again.

Cool place. Clean and staff super friendly. We had beers and I had the Morten's rum punch which was really good. We had fried calamari and catfish nuggets. Yum! For entrees we had roast beef and shrimp po boy. The roast beef was tender roasted and shredded and they used popcorn shrimp. They do half n half there. Half roast beef and the other half shrimp I had the half catfish snd half shrimp po boy. The French baguette was good but I ended up eating the filling after a couple bites as the servings are huge!

I've eaten here many times and never thought to leave a review until now. Went in today with my parents, brother, and sister because my parents love the food here. As usual, we weren't disappointed. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. From the freshly boiled crawfish and shrimp to the seafood pasta and sandwiches, everything is good. The service is always prompt and polite, and the casual setting is relaxed. This is a nice little spot to grab a bite by the water.

I loveee the snow crab legs here! They have certain days of the week with specials where you can get 2 clusters of snow crabs for the price of one!! There's many more specials on different days too! This place is located right on the madisonville riverfront! The service here is also amazing!

Seated right away, service was excellent! Our server was friendly, knew everything about the menu including cocktails. Food came out quickly, and hot, but we never once felt rushed. Chill atmosphere. Great for a leisurely lunch out or date night! Good views right by the water

What an amazing experience with service, ambience and the exceptional flavors this restaurant…read moreoffers! Truly the biggest gem in Madisonville! We dined here late lunch/early dinner. The decor from street view of the restaurant is welcoming and yet, once you walk inside it gives you the artsy, modern & sophistication to another world. I was pleasantly surprised and admire this take in its art form. We ordered 3 plates to share, Calamari, Cevice Clasico, & Pulpo Anticuchero & a couple Pisco sours. Each dish was plated and cooked perfectly, especially the octopus. Octopus is usually overcooked in most establishments, but not here... it was melt in your mouth outstanding. I honestly can reorder those plates again for the next visit because they are actually that outstanding. They do have a speakeasy (upstairs) open on Friday's and Saturdays which is themed to Scarface and even have a connecting outside front patio lounge to that. Unfortunately they weren't open at the time, as we visited on a Sunday. But we still got a pretty cool tour by our awesome server. Needless to say, this place has won our hearts and we will be back to try more! Note: if all the parking spots are taken in front of the river, there is ample parking right behind the restaurant.

We stopped in for Sunday brunch on my daughters birthday and had another fantastic meal…read more I ordered the Louisiana Crabmeat Sardou, and it was outstanding. Think eggs Benedict with a Louisiana crabmeat twist. It starts with a buttery homemade biscuit topped with a whole artichoke heart, creamed spinach, a perfectly poached egg, hollandaise, and caviar. It's served with a generous portion of lump crabmeat and a side of potatoes. With so many rich components, I expected it to be heavy, but everything was surprisingly balanced. Every bite worked together, and it was an incredibly delicious dish. My wife ordered the French Dip, which was the brunch special, and she absolutely raved about it. The shaved ribeye was incredibly tender, the Gruyère added just the right richness, and the au jus was packed with flavor. My daughter, who considers herself a burger connoisseur, insists their Brunch Burger is the best burger she's ever had. She ordered it again today, and it only reinforced that opinion. I also tried the Golden Hour cocktail, and it may have become my new favorite. I highly recommend giving it a try. From the food to the service, everything was exceptional. Tchefuncte's continues to deliver one of our favorite brunch experiences, and we can't wait to stop in again the next time we're in the area.

We really enjoyed Tchefuncte's!…read more They have their own parking lot, so it made it very easy to get in and out. You just park, the go inside, and the restaurant is on the 2nd floor. The service was phenomenal! It was for an anniversary, and they made sure to tell us happy anniversary, and add it to a little sign that was left on our table. Now for the main part: the food. Fried Oysters and Pork Belly - very good, if you get this make sure you eat them together (that was our "best bite" for that serving). Wedge Salad - one of the best wedge salad's we have had. The blue cheese dressing was creamy (rather than chunky blue cheese). It had crispy shoestring onion strings that almost acted as the croutons. I loved every bite that included lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and bacon. Delmonico Steak - this was probably our overall favorite item. Just a great steak, and large enough for both of us to enjoy. Redfish - this was good, not great. Would probably try something else other than this if we went back. Tchefuncte Potatoes - they almost were like a twice baked potato (flavor wise), but they are super creamy and fluffy and then turned into a lightly fried ball. Good and very unique. Crème Brûlée - if you like crème brûlée then you will enjoy it here. A classic dessert that was delicious. And to top it all off, the ambiance was great. It is right on the water, and service was very attentive.

We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were absolutely delicious and probably the best Brussels sprouts we've ever had! For drinks, we tried the Hot Honey Margarita and Blood Orange Mezcal, and both were extremely flavorful and beautifully presented. The aesthetic was unmatched. My daughter had the kids' cheese pizza and was very happy with it as well. For our entrées, we went with the pistachio crusted salmon and the steak with crawfish cream sauce and fries, and both were exceptional. Walked in and the place was super cute. Called earlier in the day for reservations for 7 and they…read moresaid they did not take same day reservations but place should not be bad at 6pm and we should be seated fairly quickly. We arrived at 5:40pm and told them 7 people and were told about 40 minutes so we sat at the bar and grabbed a few drinks, waited about 40 minutes are were seated.. perfect timing. Now this is where things start to fall apart.. we sat and waited about 5 minutes for someone to show up and take drink orders and I thought should put in appetizers just in case it takes them awhile to return. A few drinks stumbled out and then appetizers came and the a few minutes later more of the drinks.. weird. Finally we ordered our entrees and while waiting finished our appetizers and then no one came and cleared the table, water was empty, drinks were low appetizer plates and appetizers vessels still on table. And wait for it... here come the entrees.. and they are placing them around an already full table.. was there no dishwashers so they didn't want to take plates back to be washed??? I put about 4 plates where my entree should have gone and they pushed the entree plate next to it and I had to ask them o remove the other plates. I feel like this is too long already.. the food? Tasted odd like it had an odd flavor I ordered the Truffle Butter Steak and it was about the size of my hand and cut in strips with onions rings on top and a small bowl of fries... for $35.00. My stunning wife orders the Shrimp fried rice and she was not impressed I tasted it and it was mushy with small shrimp. Oh I liked the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer that is the reason for the two stars. Bill came and I paid for seven of us and looked the bill and it was $381.00 with drinks no one told me the gratuity was one there already and stupid me did not look and gave them another $80.00 on top of the $60.00 on the bill yep $140.00 for horrible service.. and okay food. If you all read my reviews I honestly try to be fair and hope people have off days.. I am regretting having spent nearly $500.00 on this night
