We found this activity on Google for fun things to do in seabrook. I'm so glad that we found it because it was fun and the owner was so nice! We went in the pontoon where you can bring your own food/drinks. It was a perfect day and we were able to go on a tour with this company. We enjoyed speaking to the owner because she had been in the area so long and really gave us a tour of the area on the water and she let us know more about things on land that we didn't really know. They also have music on board and you can choose to hook up to your Bluetooth and listen to your own music if you like. We had a great time with our kids. My wife took our family here last week and it was a great afternoon. Pam and the Captain Ken were fun hosts and kept us all entertained. You get to motor around the Kemah, Seabrook area while helping out if you like by pedaling (like a bicycle) to turn a paddle wheel. No worries, if you don't want to pedal, the boat can easily go on its own with the motor. You get to see lots of dream homes while playing your own music and drinking your own beverages. They even stop at waterside bars, restaurants and convenience stores for you to get out, stretch your legs and reload on those beverages if you didn't bring enough. We did this for Father's Day. Everyone had a great time and laughed a lot. We brought our own beer and snacks. They provide ice in the coolers on the bar area. Made a few stops at the restaurants along the way and took some shots! Even picked up some Jell-O shots at one stop. Afterwards we drove 5 mins over (with our DD) to the boardwalk and finished the day out. It truly was a party. Already plan on doing it again. Pamela and the captain were gracious and made us feel very comfortable. read more

Bayou Boone Cycleboats is a MUST do in Kemah!!! We arrived at our designated time, only to find out we were the only ones booked. We were given the option to go solo or wait for a party of 10 going out later in the day. As we had plans, they were so gracious to let us go alone. Whole pedal boat to ourselves.....winning!! We got to spend some time talking to Pam, who is an amazing person. She got the idea from another pedal pub boat in New Orleans and said, why the heck not. Built this one so it is a one of a kind boat! There are 10 seats with pedals and a back seat for non peddlers. The pedal pub boat is powered by a wheel connected to the pedals. There is also an engine....which came in handy since my hubby and I couldn't take on the task ourselves! 2 hours on the water looking at some of the most incredible houses ever and just enjoying the sun and breeze. Definitely hit a good bit of rain but nothing wrong with a little liquid sunshine! There is a roof on the boat that kept us relatively dry. My hubby helped tie up the boat, which is the only reason he got crazy wet from the rain. We did stop at one little mom and pop gas station stop. Got a few very good and strong jello shots. There are a few other places to stop around the area but we mostly did a bunch of cruisin', music blasting, and day drinking. Be prepared for people to wave and stare at you....the pedal pub boat brings all the lookers simply because it is so unique. Our captain was amazing. We laughed and talked with him thr majority of the ride. He really knows his stuff with boating! If you are visiting Kemah and want to get out on the water....dont go book one of those huge huge non-personal or intimate boats. Such a fun day on this unique boat trip on Clear Lake! The boat is bigger than I expected with plenty of room to walk around if you're not pedaling. My friends were worried it would be a lot of work, but it's actually quite easy especially since the captain kept the motor going. The captain and crew were professional and friendly. What a unique idea executed in a really fun place! At this point most of my friends have done the pedal pubs in one city or another. It is always a blast and everyone really enjoys themselves. Imagine my surprise when I learned that you can do it.... on a boat! Bayou Boone Cycleboats did a great job getting a one of a kind boat and obtaining the licensed talent that will let you and your friends enjoy themselves for a day in the water! The boat operates via a large paddle on the back (think of the old steam boats) powered by pedaling. It is actually pretty easy to get a few people to operate the paddle based on how it is geared. They also have a small motor on the back just in case everyone gets tired. The boat also has dry storage in the front and built-in coolers to hold your beverages of choice. Also you have some flexibility in the route that you can take and there are stops along the way where you can pop in a grab a beverage! What really made my wife and my experience special was the owner and crew of the business. Due to scheduling issues, it ended up only being my wife and I that went out on this particular adventure. Pam (the owner) was incredibly sweet about the entire ordeal and encouraged us to head out. The captain of the boat was also a great guy and took us around to some neat spots during our adventure. Overall it was a relaxing day out on the water (with a little weather), but would highly recommend giving this unique experience a try! read more
