Please read the other one star reviews my experience was the same!…read more We hired Garrett to do some repairs on our motor yacht, he said the head in the guest state-room needed to be rebuilt. Since he worked on the head it won't flush, no one has used the head since he worked on it. We didn't figure this out until until the boat was back from the yard. We needed to have the bottom cleaned, we hired Garrett to handle the boat being moved to the yard and coordinating the boat yard to clean the bottom. Garrett said he had a friend that was a captain that could drive the boat and last minute he said he didn't have anyone to drive the boat. We gave him the name of the captain we have used. Garrett told us the the boat yard doesn't paint the bottom so he could do the work. That was not true! We found out after we paid him! The boat was taken to Svendsen's Bay Marine. We're in the process of getting the quote to compare with the yard. Also we asked him to find someone to clean the carpets. He told us the cost would be between $350 & $450! On his bill to us the carpets were $450! No receipt! He said he would drop it off at the boat couple days ago with the key, then last night he said he would drop off the key & bill by 9:00am! Still haven't rec'd the key or the bill for the carpets! When the boat was in the yard Garrett told us me he would be cleaning the running gear. I spoke with him on the phone and he said he was on his way to the yard to clean the running gear. It wasn't done and he never let us know! The yard ended up cleaning the running gear because the boat had to go back in the water and he didn't do the work. When we got the bill from the yard there was $600 cost for cleaning the running gear and we contact him to confirm the work was done, he didn't called us back! At this point Garrett was already was paid! He pushed us to pay him before the boat was back in the slip! Once the boat was back in the slip I had an appointment to have the cleaners come in to clean the boat. This was the first time I had been to the boat since it was in the yard (approx 4-5 days) I got down to the boat and couldn't get in. The key was missing! Called Garrett, no answer! I ran home found the extra key! Then realized the power was off and had to cancel the cleaners. Again called Garrett, no answer. About 6 hrs later I finally got a text that the power was on when he left the boat. I contacted the captain and he came over and the power cord wasn't locked after plugged in & the power wasn't switched on at the panel so there's no way power was on when he left the boat. The lock was difficult to turn, I found out from the yard that the key was broke inside the lock. The yard said the barely touched it and it broke off. Garrett is blaming the yard for the broken key however, he never told us there was an issue! The yard said they will take care of lock! We are changing the locks! I asked him for the name of the lock smith. He didn't answer. I asked him why he didn't tell us about the lock & key, he didn't answer. Then start checking the boat, there was a large stain on the carpet of the main room, I asked Garrett about it, he said the carpet was fine and no stain when he was there. No one has been on the boat but him! I check the carpet after cleaning in the yard and there was no stain! We paid him for the captain to take the boat over to the yard. $400 was owed to the captain, the captain said he still wasn't paid. I contacted him several times and finally paid the captain. I walked up to the top deck, the controls weren't covered, seat wasn't covered and the door leading down to the captains chair wasn't covered. The hatch that leads upstairs was open as well. The small trash cans in two of the heads are missing. I asked him about this .. no answer! The boat wasn't tied up properly to the dock and the fenders weren't all put back. The rope was broke on one of the fenders. The boat was about 5 ft from the doc and when my dog when to jump off the boat she fell off the boat and I found her at the other side of the doc. Lucky she didn't drown. So many issues.. so many excuses! Started asking around.. Garrett has quite the reputation! First person I asked said Garrett did some wiring & had to pay someone $1000 to fix his work. Also heard through another friend that there was a major issue with an engine! There was a huge loss for the owners! I can get more info about this if someone is interested! Also... Looked like a few people were having a party on our boat, after all these things that happen I wouldn't be surprised if Garrett had people on our boat. Since this happen we have many neighbors watching out for our boat on both sides! The harbor master has been contacted & aware of these issues! These are the facts!

After an amazing August morning hiking in Muir Woods, we ventured over to Sausalito for lunch at the Joinery overlooking the harbor, then proceeded to stroll along the waterfront toward the shops past this yacht harbor and the terminal pier. We're a landlocked, lake- & river-faring family from Central Texas, so we always enjoy seeing the impressive array of personal boats docked in an ocean-accessible marina. This harbor has every kind of fancy live-aboard to stoke your dreams of selling everything and moving into your Jimmy Buffet fantasy phase of life. Plus, it's always fun to check out the silly names that rich people give their boats. We were unable to walk down the piers (which are behind locked gates for security), but there was plenty to see from the sidewalk and boardwalk. If you love boats and happen to be in the area, it's worth a peak.
