My friend recommended me to Bayside Collision to have body work done and I dealt with Arthur. When I picked up the car I did check it but when I returned home in the evening I found multiple problems of swirls and imperfections when the light was shining on it. I reached out the next day and Arthur accused me that I did the damage overnight and I'm bringing it back on him. I was shocked by his angry & unprofessional response, especially since he said he guarantees his work. He said he would try to buff it out, and well, that didn't help. I took it to another body shop to have it looked at. I was told they painted the entire quarter panel which extended beyond the damage to try blend it in. Which created more imperfections and blistering. For the amount he charged I expected quality work and didn't receive it. While the quality of the car repairs was decent (8/10), the customer service was severely lacking. Initially, we brought our car in for repairs, which were completed satisfactorily, though a minor issue remained. We returned another day to have this minor issue addressed, and later, we discovered another small problem, prompting us to come back immediately. During our second visit, Justin was unprofessional and confrontational. He complained that he was owed $10,000 for the initial repairs, but the insurance company had only paid him $9,000. This situation was not our responsibility; both Justin and the insurance company had already agreed on the price prior to the repairs. If he was dissatisfied with the arrangement or did not want to continue working on our car, he should have called us or communicated this to us. We didn't complain about having to return twice for the minor issues that were caused by the repairs and approached the situation politely each time, but Justin insisted that he had already done us a favor by undercharging us $1,000 and to remember it. Additionally, Justin also spoke about a "lifetime guarantee" when we picked up our car the first time but displayed a poor attitude when we came back shortly after. read more

Excellent customer service! I took my time choosing a place to have my car fixed and really did my homework. The insurance company sent my info to the two shops I was considering and I stopped by the other shop (that I didn't choose) and didn't get that warm feeling but before I could call this shop Justin called me, introduced himself and really made a good impression over the phone so I stopped by the next day with the hubby to make sure this was the place for my 2018 Durango R/T that was rear ended._. The reception at the shop was the same as on the phone, Warm and friendly so I scheduled the drop off to have my baby fixed. The whole process was very easy. Justin called the rental Company and they picked me up right away. When my car was finished I was away and they kept my car inside their garage until my return over a week later. Arther was great when I picked up the car, in and out in 5 minutes and all work comes with a lifetime warranty. I'd never go anywhere else from now on. It's very difficult to find people who care about their customers these days and this place really is reminiscent of the old days when business owners and their employees truly care. Update Oct 2018 Change from 4 star to 5star, because: A. Came in for issues relating to a repair they did from few years ago. Fixed it no questions asked! B. Duke (refer to pic) 2-3 years ago, i had a string of bad luck with my car. In the course of 2 years my car was brought here for body repair 2-3 times. In the beginning I was a bit nervous because they only accept cash for the deductibles...I was very hesitant and worried that once they got my money I would not have recourse. Well they assured me that if i'm not happy they will take care til I am happy. Well each time, they did make me happy. Not saying they are the cheapest, but they are reputable and reliable people and the do a good job. There are 3 guys here, Arthur/Artie is the serious professional guy (owner), Richie is the laid back friendly guy, and Frank is the head of mechanics dept. One of these 3 will take care of you. Frank can sound grouchy sometimes but he's a good guy. read more

I had a huge car accident that basically total my car not worth repairing. I went to a few body shops and everyone quoted me a ridiculous price. It was so much, I could have bought something else. Discourage I kept looking for a shop that would be fair and reasonable. Something I could afford and keep my special edition Jetta. After going around for a few weeks I asked the dealership where they get their cars painted for repairs. They told me they only use Bayside Collision, which is what they have been using for over 20 years now. I ended up heading there and met Arthur. Very nice guy that made me feel at home. He gave me a fair price and we both agree to the terms and I left him the car. A week into the repairs I had to return overseas from my extended leave from my deployment. Arthur told me not to worry about anything he got it cover. I return a few months later ready to pick up my car, which was done. He had done all the paper work done and it had a rebuilt title ready to go. He went above and beyond what I had ever expected. He touched up the entired car fixing all the little things around the car, which is something I couldn't afford. I inspected the car and couldn't find a single thing wrong. He was happy I return home safe and sound. An I was so impressed with the amount of work that went into it and the hospitality he gave me. Great group of guys here. My father in law needed repairs on his car. Art and Richie took care of all the paperwork and made the process quick and painless. They have a little parking lot towards the end of the shop, so park there so you don't get a ticket, your friendly parking officers are everywhere. The shop is clean and we got the car back a day earlier than promised. I wish that those other review show up before I bring my car to Bayside collision service. Me too had similar experience at bayside collision. The cost of my repair was around $3300, bayside collision service (BCS) will not take credit card at all. Ask to me to cash the insurance check and bring cash to pay for the service, All though they did give me 300 dollars discount by bring in cash, but I thought it was very strange that you can't not use credit card for such big purchase and you must bring cash. Repair was done pretty quickly about 6 days no complaint about that. about 2 week after getting the car back, when exit from my driveway with the speed of about 5 MPH. The front Bumper cover (which BCS repair) scraping the ground, and crack the bumper. I never seen anything like this, a gentle scraping exiting the driving cause the bumper to crack (see attached picture) I went to BCS to inquire about why is the bumper so fragile , they immediately become very defensive, accusing allstate insurance for only authorize them to use aftermarket part, and cause of my bumper crack because me hitting too hard to the ground, Then I call allstate they said they can't not force me to use after market part, they said I have a choice of choose OEM if I want to. Which BCS never offer me a choice of choosing OEM part. Also when I went to Chrysler dealer for oil change, the Dealer immediately recognize that the bumper is non OEM due to poor fitment, and they explain to me this will not happen if using OEM parts, non OEM part fit poorly and the plastic is more brittle. That is why when scrapping the ground the bumper cover crack immediately. Anyways not really a happy experience for me. read more

To put it simply these guys are classic shady criminal mechanics. They will overcharge and try to get away as much as possible. Do yourself a favor. If you need any type of body work whether big or small, find another shop. If you have even the slightest disagreement they will threaten to hold your car until it works out in their favor. These guys are great...polite, down to earth and personable. And of course, they fixed my car up beautifully. My 2013 Nissan got side swiped on the passenger side pretty bad (from the back all the way up to the side mirror). I had never been in a situation like this but the guys at bayside collision made this one of the easiest processes I've ever gone through...no exaggeration. Brought my car there for repair. They replaced the part with a used part that was in worst condition than my original part. Obviously, there was problem. Owner charge more to get new internal part to fix the problem. Unfortunately, the problem persisted. The owner is very rude and loud. Very disrespectful towards paying customer. There is a sign on the office door stating all repair are warrantied for the life of the vehicle. Good luck with that. When asked about the warranty, the owner stated it is only for paint jobs. Does not cover mechanical. They will ask you to bring cash for payment as well. Do your research before using this shop. Update: So after spending almost $3000 at Bayside Collision Service and leaving me car there for almost 2 weeks. They were unable to fix the problem with my car. The mechanic and Owner were rude and disrespectful when you tried to point out the problem still exist. I took my car to Bayside Auto Repair & Body right after I left their shop on the same day. Meet the owner's Son and his mechanic got into my car to check the problem. Took him maybe 10 minutes to find out what was wrong. Recently I was hit on the passenger side thank God because it destroyed the whole passenger side of my truck I have a Tacoma. I always see this place near my doctor so I gave it a shot. Right off the bat very good very comforting and detail oriented. They give you undivided attention unlike some places I've been to after just to get other estimates and what not. I definitely recommend them it seems they have are really good team. They even kept in touch with me I was in an accident a few years ago and the avoided me like the plague. So was nice to hear from someone once in awhile I'm a reasonable guy I know it takes time to fix the damage that was done... Had a little fender and bender Saw bayside collision has excellent review on yelp so decide to bring the car there. First warning sign is they seems do not want to take credit card at all. They keep saying soon as insurance cut you a check bring cash and bank check to them for payment. Second warning is the quality of parts they use, it may be very low end after market part. The bumper crack within 1 month after the repair because my 2 years old daughter rides a tricycle with the speed of maybe 2 mph ran into the bumper. I bring the car back to the shop they said it is normal that bumper crack on impact. When I got into an accident the bumper just bend didn't crack a hole. Now my 2 yrs daughter ride plastic playskool tricycle ran into it immediately crack the bumper. I am no car body expert but even the manual said the bumper can withstand 5 mph impact with little or no damage. Personally I think the cause is because the low quality part they use. I brought my Jeep Cherokee Limited into Bayside Collision on January 22nd. I was shopping in a local shopping center in Bayside. When I came out to my car I was in shock on what the right fender looked like. It was totally crushed in. Damage also to the right front door. The tire was pulled out to an angle. Other scrapes were done to the front bumper. I immediately called my insurance company on what took place, and took the car over to Bayside Collision. I went to Bayside Collision because I've known the owner for 35 years. He was not there at the time, but the Manager took care of me. He noted everything that happened to the car. He was professional in every way, and said he would get back to me the following day. The insurance adjuster came within 48 hours, a price was given to me and work began immediately. Today, February 1st, at 9:00 am I received a call that my Jeep was ready for pickup. The car looked like it just came out of the showroom. They matched the paint, by their computer, perfectly. The right tire rim, polished as though it looked brand new, maybe it is. I can't tell. They painted the entire front bumper, and the door on the passenger side. I asked about the warranty on the work performed. Response was, guaranteed forever. I took the car out for a long drive today and can only say the mechanical work done is as excellent as the way the car looks perfect. The owner, and Manager were respectful and professional in the way my situation was handled. Over the past 35 years I have only gone to them because this is the way they operate their business. Do not go to this shop. They repainted my corner bumper and had caused my doors to have weird water marks that they refuse to fix. I have a brand new BMW X 5 and my front corner bumper was scratched parked on the street one day. So I decided to have them fixed it and it was minor enough. When I pick up my car there was strange/weird water marks all over my driver side car door. They said they will fixed it. After I pick up my car second time, they did nothing about but just polished over it, and they refuse to fix it again. The bumper fix was around 260, but now to fix my doors probably over 1K. read more

My driver's side rear view mirror was hit while parked on the street overnight. The individual that knocked it off was so kind as to leave her contact information on the windshield and report the accident to her insurance company. Bayside Collision "happened" to be a few blocks from where I work and had just moved to and was covered by State Farm Insurance. I brought my car into the shop and the guys said the part would be ordered and the car would be ready in a day or two. I also asked how much the right side rear view mirror would be as I had knocked that one off myself, previously, when making a turn. I was given a price and I said "I won't be able to replace that right now". When I went to pick up the car, both mirrors were replaced. I panicked because I didn't have the money to pay for the one I had broken. I was told it was a "welcome gift" to the neighborhood!
