This is not your typical review. Which is why I think it's probably one of the most sincere and fairest that you will read. First, I have to say how wonderful Victoria and David are. They are just genuinely good people that you honestly want to be friends with and go out to dinner with. They are proof that hard work, dedication, professionalism, loyalty and attention to detail really do pay off. So, this review is about the work they did on a ride-on toy BMW X6 that we bought as a Christmas/birthday gift for our 2 year old daughter who is born on Christmas Day. We were so excited to purchase this car as our daughter's big gift and were even more excited when it finally arrived. Unfortunately, shipping hadn't been kind to it and when we opened the box we found a huge crack on the main body of the car, right by the passenger side rear wheel. After consulting with the store where we purchased it, everyone agreed that the best course of action if we wanted our daughter to get the gift in time for Christmas was to find a body shop willing to repair it. That's where North Shore comes in. From the moment I called sheepishly explaining the situation, Victoria was the kindest and super empathetic to our situation and didn't make me feel crazy for calling about a toy, lol. I was able to bring the car in the next day and both David and Victoria could not have been nicer or better about assessing it and assuring me that they could fix it. They even promised to finish it before Christmas (this was 2 weeks before Christmas). A big issue was getting an exact paint match, which for numerous reasons was not available from the manufacturing company. However, North Shore did not disappoint and matched it exactly which I know was no easy feat. I was able to pick up the car, which was perfect on Christmas Eve just like promised, and my daughter's Christmas/birthday was saved. All thanks to Victoria and David and the team at North Shore. What I love about them so much is that they treated this toy car like any other real "job" and gave it the same attention and detail. Truly one of a kind! My 2018 Dodge Durango didn't look right. The Durango had a nasty scrape in the Passenger Door, smaller scratches throughout and dull looking paint. I thoroughly researched options and Bodyshop's. I was interested in reasonable priced 'one-stop' shop to manage everything as I decided to add a full 'paint correction' with a Nano Coating and Window Tinting. Having driven past North Shore Auto for 20 years, I stopped in to see what they offer. Alex (Manager) was very professional in explaining the different options/cost, each stage and answering my questions. After several conversations, we decided on a Respray for the Passenger Door, Full Vehicle Decontamination, Compounding, Clear Coat Gloss Sealant and Nano Coating. In addition, they replaced some trim, managed Front Driver/Passenger Tint, Tail & Head light Tint. The Durango is a big vehicle, so the process took about 10 days. From Day One I was very comfortable and had good lines of communication with Alex who regularly provided me with updates. I also had several good conversations with Dave, the owner of North Shore. As Car guys, it quickly became apparent that they care about cars and understand their Customers. The end result: a fantastic looking, head turning Durango, with every single item successfully completed within the boundaries of their Quote and my budget. My 2019 Honda Pilot was hit by a driver that went through a red light and drove straight into me! Thankfully nobody was hurt, but my car took significant damage to the front passenger side. The damage was covered by insurance, but David and his team went above and beyond what was required by the insurance plan. First of all, the repair work itself is impeccable - car looks like new! But they thoroughly cleaned the inside of the car as well, which was not even part of the insurance claim. It was also not easy, since we have a dog that sheds a lot! I purchased a pre-owned 2010 White Toyota Camry, of which body was in great condition, but for 15 years the exterior finish was not maintained, mostly chalky. My car was parked in the city. I went into my shop to unload some stuff out of my car. Two minutes later, a Uber driver tried to park in the spot in front of my Tesla, misjudge his space and scraped my bumper and wheel well. For those that never got into an accident with NYC Taxi's or Uber/Lyft drivers, they all have the same insurance company. This was already a red flag for me. The owner of the car that hit me wanted to pay me $50 for the scratches. Anyways this insurance company is hard to deal with and just a ton of headaches. It took me more than a month at the end to get my car fixed. North Shore helped me a lot. I went to them the day of the accident to get an idea of the cost if I were to fix it myself cash since I told the guy I will let him know the cost is he wanted to do it under the table. He didn't even play with the idea, the highest he was going to pay me was $100. Are you serious?!?!. So I went the insurance route. I filed a police report and told the insurance company what happened. I let North Shore know and they started to coordinate with the insurance company for me. Long story short, Victoria fought long and hard with the company to do the right thing. Get me in a rental before trying to get my car opened up for estimates. The insurance company did that. But then it took them almost a week to get a check. Victoria had to call the insurance company again just to get them to rush the check. The insurance company then tried to back out of my rental car reimbursement saying that they are only willing to pay $28/day and only for the duration the car being fixed. Again, Victoria and David and to talk to the insurance company. So yeah, North Shore Auto Collision went above and beyond to get my car fixed without me eating in cost for an Uber drivers mistakes. They called the insurance company, help me get into a nice rental while my car was in the shop. I highly recommend North Shore Auto Collision for anyone that needs their car fixed. They did a really good job fixing it and they were really friendly and informative on how to get my car fixed. They know what they are doing and they have being doing it for years. I brought my Tesla Model 3 into North Shore Auto after a minor fender bender. Anyone who has a Tesla knows that it's a car that becomes part of the family and that it so packed with electronics that you have to be careful about who you trust to do work on it.
